A good family movie
bourkemax27 September 2023
When I saw this movie last week I loved it i laughed and cried at the film not for being bad but it was just a good film to take your kids to see. If you're child Is a fan of the show or likes dogs then they would like it but if you're taking your child Just because why but they won't like it as much but that being said it was really good they really Archie into skyes backstory and Thot was really good and the acting was good not good another fir an Oscar but good enough that you didn't get annoyed and the bad guy was thought out well but my one thing Is that there was a scene where the bad guy felt like your average bad guy other than that it was nice to see.

Far from the tv show
KenKenReviews4 October 2023
I liked the film. It was energetic and spirited. A few adult themes centred around confidence, family and friendship which was still simple for children to digest made for a simple and straight forward story. The added theme of superpowers made it fun but also questionable. For me, if they have these powers then why would they need their vehicles still? Hmm. My kids on the other couldn't care less. They were happy to see a super powered Skye that can now fly still get into her jet ha-ha. My favourite characters were the newly added pup recruits. Too cute, cuddly and funny. The movie moves away from the innocence of the tv show. There's a lot more action, destruction, shooting, explosions etc. In other words, if this happens to be your first experience of the Paw Patrol then going to tv shows from this? You're going to really struggle. Compared to the tv show this movie is on steroids with action. My kids loved the film and I feel if it had the marketing budget of the Super Mario film it would have done a lot better. It's a really good family movie which will definitely be repeated a few times in my home.

Our favourite pups are back!
dtnmusic30 September 2023
All those familiar pups are back, except with (mostly) different voices which is an automatic point off for me. Another point off is the overall visual look of the film. It looks more like a video game than what the 2021 film looked like, which I prefer over this instalment. My 3rd point off is the plot, which I feel is slightly heavy for the age group we're going for. Again, I felt the 2021 plot was great, while keeping it super light and fun. That being said, this movie moves at a good pace, is quite entertaining, has many laughs for all ages, and does have some return voices which helps. My kids enjoyed it and want to see it again, we'll see if it gets viewed as many times as the 2021 version, which I'm guessing I've seen about 50 times lol!

Real kids movie
bololsyahputra8 November 2023
Even though i shouldn't watch this movie, but here is something about it.

Finally i a movie that literallly for kids, i mean recent animatied movie like elemental that to mature imo and more like 13+ movie, and rated PG just like this movie, this movie more like a simple adventure movie with cute little dogs instead of kissing water and fire.

This movie also has simple straight up story line that very easy to understand, no complicated things and twist.

Things that don't fit with the kids started when one of the dog "let go her past" that maybe will make some kids cry, beside of that this movie is a really solid movie that really for kid.

Even the story is simple but i still asking why the story is not really having moral value, the movie also don't really fit with someone even if they 12 years old or older, it's to expectable and not really tense.

Even though this movie has mediocre story, this movie still really solid and really watchable for kids making it still recomended to watch.

What were they thinking? Where is the innocence?
goredrill1 October 2023
This is not a bad movie, don't get me wrong. Even compared to most garbage that gets thrown at us adults for entertainment purposes.

The mighty movie has all the characters we know (and like or even love) from the tv show. And that's about it. Except for the pups and the other characters we already know, this movie has nothing to do with the Paw Patrol we're used to.

It's the mighty movie, I got this. But even their super powers are different from the tv show (if these episodes were fan favorites, I also get the reason behind this movie and I can blind guess the next installment could be about dinosaurs).

There's more action, more shooting stuff, fighting, explosions and (more real) threat than in all tv show seasons together. It's not innocent anymore - and I guess that's why I feel this is not a Paw Patrol movie.

The kids liked it (because of the characters they know?). The movie has its moments, it has a good portion of fun and the story is not too bad for what it is; entertainment for kids aged 5 or 6 and up. Visually, the movie feels like a tiny step back from the first installment (imho the fur looks weird at times). But, I repeat, this has nothing to do with Paw Patrol from the tv show.

Charming, wow factor and ok story
kastmicat8 October 2023
It is a very fun movie for kids, I think almost any child will have a wonderfull time, a very charming story with cute characters, with cool vehicles. At the same time it is an obvious commercial to sell the toys of what you see in the movie. The story accomplishes to be entertaining with a basic structure. I think despite to be a franchise made for little kids, unlike the show, the writers tried to make an story decent enough to entratain the adults in the audience what makes it more a family move than just for little kids as the show. Telling us about the emotional insecurity of Skye for being the tiniest and weakest member of the team and trying to overcome it while using superpowers to defeat the crazy scientist with similar insecurities as Skye.

Visually is decent, the vehicles have cool concepts the characters are adorable, I am not sure if it is the movie or a problem with the theater I went, but there were some scenes where the frame rate of the animtion changed, like if most of the movie the animations where made 24 fps and then few scenes there was a character moving like 12 fps, or like sometimes they forgot to add motion blur to the animation.

I would say is a charming and fun family movie perfect for kids or even and adult looking for a relaxing carefree movie.

Great for kids
theincrediblehong1 October 2023
Although it's not as hyped as Mario Bros, this might actually be a better movie. My 6 year old daughter loved it while my 8 year old son tolerated it - though he did get excited seeing some characters from previous shows/films from when he watched the series when he was younger. I think he liked it more then he let on...

It's no masterpiece, but there are a few good laughs to be had.

I'm just happy to have something to take my kids to that isn't overtly progressive in its themes. The moral of the story is no matter how small or young you are you can still make a big difference...something a lot of kids will enjoy hearing.

Too much for some tots
mark_harrison088 October 2023
My 4 year old boy absolutely loves paw patrol. He would probably rate the first movie as a 10/10.

However, we didn't make it halfway through this movie. We had to leave because it was too scary for him. I don't know if it's because it was in a dark cinema on a big screen and loud, but there were quite a few "threat" scenes early on that scared him and it just got too much for him.

As we were leaving I saw a few other kids in the cinema crying too. There was nothing like this for the first cinematic release. I don't know how they got this one so wrong after the success of the first.

If your child is of a nervous disposition, I would probably avoid this and wait until it's on home release.

It isn't my review, it's my kid's
S_Sinan30 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Of course it's be silly for a grownup to write a review on this movie, so I'll write what my kid thinks of it.

But before that, I'll need to write a background.

My kid is 4.5. He's brilliant and speaks fluently 3 languages. His fun is going to the children library, and kids science shows are his favorite. He has never used a mobile or tablet till couple of months ago when homework's started to flow on the school platform. He has never gone to cinema, so this is his first experience with his favorite "super stars".

With all the hype and excitement, we booked the ticket on the first day of the movie. It's a kids cinema. He loved it while in there, and even got excited in some scenes.

After the hype is gone, on the way home, I asked him about the movie, and what was his feeling. I asked him after a day (yesterday) and this is his answer combined:

"Daddy, you know, this is not a kids movie. I got scared a little bit when the meteors hit the tower."

"You know daddy, that woman is so evil. I hate her too much. I was almost going to punch her through the screen".

"Daddy, you know for a bit I thought the meteors were going to hit us. The cinema feels like real"

"The sound was too loud. I don't like loud"

And that's the summary of his review.

My conclusion, it is fun, but it's more violent compared to the other Paw Patrol franchise. Of course with extra powers to pups, an extra powered evil character was needed, but why the extra power in the first place? They could have grown up a bit (maybe).

Anyways, we had fun evening, and I am happy that I shared my son's first movie experience.

A huge letdown after the first movie
k-merse22 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The first Paw Patrol movie was lovable, clever and absolutely enjoyable for parents as well. Compared to that, the second one is a big letdown.

First of all, the slightly new design of the pups is just weird. Especially Marshall and Rocky look totally out of place, like they would be the plush figurine copies of themselves.

Moreover, while the previous movie was totally integrated into the series, this movie basically created an alternate timeline, acting like Adventure Bay wouldn't exist at all. When the Pups are sad for losing their fancy tower in Adventure City they act like they would have lost everything. The plot is also rather weak, a retelling of the Mighty Pups arc, but this time the power is stored in individual crystals. Humdinger also makes a brief appearance, but he is considered a wrongdoer for what he did in the last movie, nothing he did since then.

The plot itself is rather weak, once again revolves around Skye, who already got plenty of own episodes and even a full dedicated Special. The moral of the story is also completely alien from Paw Patrol. So far every time the focus was on how the team can save the day, and now it was all about Skye being the single big hero who saves everyone.

The story is more boring and scarier for children at the same time, my kids did not enjoy it nearly as much. The jokes are also duller, and the jokes for the adults are not subtle any more, but toned down to the level of the stupidest audience. The lowest point of the movie was when the TV-commentator broke the fourth wall and said that "wow the Pups have new superpowers and new vehicles. Sorry parents!". And indeed, the movie felt like a big advertisement. The story, the characters were secondary, we literally saw more of the new flashy vehicles and the new super suits than the Pups talking...

Overall, a huge letdown after how clever and enjoyable was the first movie. Because then, even though I knew I was watching a movie that was all about selling new toys, endearing characters, good story and clever jokes made me forgive that. This movie had nothing of that.

Great film for little ones
matt_dutton1 October 2023
This is a kids film, so I have no idea why people are reviewing it through their eyes as adults.

Yes, there are a more "scary" moments than the first one - But my 2 year old is scared by Scooby Doo, yet had no problems with this. And yes... the voices are a bit different - but only adults will notice that anyway!

So. As a KIDS film - This was great. Entertaining, emotional & funny for both kids and parents. Well produced, well edited, great soundtrack, lots of nods to action/superhero films for adults. Kid lapped up every minute, including the end credits, and didn't want to leave. So 10/10 as far as she's concerned.

Mighty pups
MB-reviewer18523 November 2023
This movie is the sequel to the Nickelodeon movie Paw Patrol: The Movie (2021) that is based on the 2013 show Paw Patrol that is still going to this day; I know what the show is about, even though I have not seen much of it, and this movie is based on something that does happen in the show. The sequel Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023) is as good and enjoyable enough as the first movie, with it having great animation and good voice acting for these characters that kids will know because of the show, but also it has fun action and entertaining enough villains where you can have some fun with it. Plus, even if you have not seen the show before, or if you have seen some of it but not too much, you might question some things that happen but will like it despite it being aimed at kids.

The whole cast voicing the Paw Patrol pups and the owner Ryder all do a respectable job voicing these characters, along with side characters having well-known actors voicing them, even in exceedingly small roles that do not make a difference. Unlike the first movie where it focused on the police pup Chase, this movie focuses on the pup named Skye finding out how she was found by Ryder, and her proving to herself that she is not a weak small pup by taking this power crystal, gives herself superpowers, and uses them to save the day from the many threats to Adventure City involving meteors, Mayor Humdinger, and Victoria Vance. There is not much to say about the main characters other than that the way they save people from incidents/accidents is entertaining to watch, and them using their powers from the crystals is cool with the nice-looking animation.

The villain is Victoria Vance who makes a machine to drag meteors from space to come down and crash on Earth where Adventure City is, along with her saying she is not a mad scientist, even though she acts crazy and over the top; the other villain is the return of Mayor Humdinger, but he does not do much other than break out of prison, help Victoria steal the crystals, and have one sequence around the end of the second act leading to the third act/third act climax. The animation is well done and nice to look at, with it being bright and colorful, along with the look and colors from the crystals, the Paw Patrol equipment, how they use their powers, and what the powers look like when they use them; also, the action sequences in the movie were fun and entertaining to watch, even in the third act climax.

If you have kids who are fans of the Paw Patrol show, or if you like the show yourself, along with liking the first movie, then you will have fun or will be entertained with this sequel movie; the movie sequel Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023) is clearly not for me, but I was entertained by it and some fun with it, even though I have not seen much of the show. Not a perfect animated movie, but it is not trying to be, it is just trying to be fun and entertaining.

Meh. Poorly written with a couple funny moments
rectorj-3513230 September 2023
We were all excited to watch this and it started out pretty good. But as the movie goes on the writing starts to get inconsistent and silly. Drama is created for really no reason and the "laws" of the world the movie is set in get broken and manipulated to fit the situation. It has a few good funny moments where you genuinely laugh but the problems then start to stack up pretty quickly and eventually you're left with a feeling of "silly" and "nonsensical". It's really too bad. The first movie was great. It was light hearted with a good story and some real dramatic moments that this movie didn't live up to.

The kids will enjoy it, adults....meh.
abc_tailz_xyz5 November 2023
I've gone for a 7 on behalf of my children.

For the adults, maybe a 5.5.

Animation is clean and colorful, storyline is simple but sweet, upgrades to vehicles still cool.

Toy stores will be raking in the dough again.

9,8 &5 year old boys were excited. They loved seeing the pups again and when my kids can have a OMG moment as big as hubby and I did to moments during Endgame, then they clearly enjoyed it.

The storyline was easy enough to follow without getting too bored and not too obvious that they worked it out too quickly.

When it comes to streaming, it will be a great Sunday night movie on the couch for young families.

Just okay, accents were a killer
bmlane98 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
My 4yo loved this movie, but we both noticed the voices of the characters were changed and it is terrible. Kind of ruined the movie. The storyline is okay. We also didn't care much for the new villain. It felt too much like Spiderman's Doc Oc. Glad we didn't waste the money to watch it in theater. The humor was kind of a miss as an adult but my daughter didn't seem to notice, but she also didn't laugh as much as the other movies or Tv show. Some TV shows are just meant to be only that. Also, wasn't there already a mighty pups movie? The idea didn't come off very original. I would have liked to see something different.

Good Doggie No Bone
raben-811467 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The super dogs returns to the big screen, as they have to face Mayor Humdinger again and his sidekick that is an evil female scientist with electric superpower. The animation is a step up from the first movie from the power up on the puppies and the two baddies, as there are lot of out context and some radio friendly songs. Mayor Humdinger says something about election, as it is time for the US election and the Danish election this year. The movie is not just for the kids that has a thing for collecting Paw Patrol toys as the teens who loves superhero movies, comics and shows they can enjoy this movie too. And who knows if this movie will make it to the Oscars this time.

PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie - A solid film for Kids
PeriBloxV220 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Just finished watching the Paw Patrol Mighty Movie. And I gotta say it's a solid movie. Here are my thoughts on it

So first off some positives. The animation is just as good as the first movie and 10 times better than the show, second the soundtrack is pretty good. Not something i'm gonna be blasting 24/7 but it gets the job done, thirdly, I really liked Skye's backstory. It was really emotional and well done and shows off her determination well.

Alright, time for the negatives, one thing that really upset me is that they just completely forgot about the villains after they were defeated. So the Mad Scientist lady ends up getting defeated by the Paw Patrol and Liberty ends up using her stretchy powers to hold onto the scientist so she can't escape but then when they show all the other pups giving their crystals to Skye, she's just no where to be seen, there's no scene of her in prison, no post credits scene showing what happened to her, she's just gone. Same thing with Mayor Humdinger, he just completely vanishes from the plot after he's defeated. There's no scene showing what happened to them afterwards. I know they say they're going to jail but I'd still like to see it, but atleast Humdinger didn't just vanish from thin air like the mad scientist lady

Another negative I have is with the crystals. They're basically never explained. The crystals come from the meteor the ends up destroying the Paw Tower (which i'll talk about later) but they never really explain much from that. Like why does the meteor give the PAW patrol super powers, where did the meteor come from? Is it from another planet? I don't know because they barely explain it, which I wish they touched upon more.

My last problem with the film is that they just completely forget about the Pup Tower being destroyed, which I feel was missed potential and could have been used to drive the characters forward, but they just never bring it up again, which is underwhelming. Like, they mourn the loss over the tower for like 10 minutes, but then Rubble makes a wacky joke and everyone just forgets about it.

In conclusion, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie is alright. Kids will definitely enjoy it, and fans of the TV Show will also get a kick out it, overall i'd give the movie a 6/10. Thanks for reading.

So annoying and boring
sushej29 September 2023
My kids weren't happy with this one but liked the other. As a mom I learned to like certain things and paw patrol is probably the one I like most. This was really boring and kids didn't understand some of it and they are preschool to first grade. I found it boring but main issue is skye. I think it's pretty obvious chase is the main character but also still other characters important. Skye was different sounding like why not have same voice actor from series do the movie it was werid hearing different voice but also main thing is it didn't sound like Skye because they used multiple voices as Skye and they sound fine but not this one. Also the one who did Skye did song with black ear with was annoying sounding and kids didn't like it others were good but also black bear is adult pop singer so none of it makes sense.

A mighty adventure
ungirebecca13 November 2023
This movie follows the pups on another adventure. It's a great story that shows and teaches about friendship, adventure, loyalty, loss and much more.

Firstly I have to say the animation of the movie is beautiful. The colours are bright and vibrant when the pups are on screen but shift to darker tones when the villain is presented on screen. All this combined makes for a smooth animation style.

The movie follows not only the main story but also side stores of the pups and some of the difficulties they face. This makes them very relatable, especially for the kids as they may even face the same problem like feeling left out or like they are growing slower than other kids. It's a great way to see how the pups deal with the situation and apply that to there own life.

The movie has a heavy focus on some insecurities and even shows how valuable and selfish we can be without meaning too. The movie does a good job of showing how to learn from your mistakes.

It's a fun movie for the whole family. It allows you to relax and just watch along with the adventure.

Paw patrol skin over something very different
flowirin3 November 2023
This movie simply isn't paw patrol. Sure, it has the characters, the vehicles etc. That's not enough, when the very soul of the movie is wrong.

Paw patrol is a fun, light hearted kid's series, with short, quickly resolved disasters, and a good vibe. Sure, there are bad guys, but they are not bad bad guys.

But this movie? It centers around a bitter, nasty, POC villain, who wants to lecture at all times, and has a horrible tone of voice. She puts people down, complains about the world and generally brings adult issues into what was a kids space. The nasty cynicism and unpleasant sarcasm is totally out of place in this movie.

My kids wanted to end it half way through, so we did.

This is a BAD MOVIE and pollutes the paw patrol brand.

Impression from a 4 year old
soro832 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
My daughter liked the movie and she was glued to the screen during the show. However, you might need to consider if your child is ready for the movie as it has some sad scenes that made my daughter cry the next morning as she was thinking about those moments .

Other than that, I would say it's a good movie to watch - very predictable scenario but good for kids as their best friends are back on the big screen.

Overall, I treated this movie high just because it's paw patrol lol and my kiddo is very much into it,so definitely worth going just make be aware that your child might get too emotional.

The worse movie of the two
mrudinec11 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The previous movie was way better, I don't understand what happened here. Where's the "no job is too big, no pup is too small" spirit? Liberty can't join the others on a mission because she has no superpowers? What?

I watched tons of Paw Patrol with my daughter, we played all the buggy (shockingly badly put together, but that's for another story) video games too, and everything about this movie's story seems a bit off. Paw Patrol from Wish.

The visuals don't seem great either, it's like it was going for the superhero movie look, but ended up looking sort of lo-fi instead.

The previous movie pretty much lives inside our BluRay player now, but this one is not worth rewatching.

Lacks soul and dedication to the world of children
engelst28 December 2023
I went to see this with our 7 year old daughter. Needless to say, she thought it was a great movie.

She failed to notice quite a few inadequacies.

The movie tries too hard to outdo the last in the series and by doing so, moves even further away from the excellent TV show. It feels like an adult action movie trimmed down for kids. It's formulaic and lacks a pace and storyline adapted to children.

There are a lot of inconsistencies:
  • The bad guys hardly move when Paw Patrol are in their base.

  • Paw Patrol have a cool tower smack in the middle of town. Even though all the action takes place in the city, they also use a boat on the beach (maybe to sell more toys?).

  • The bad guys are disappointing. They mostly talk and Paw Patrol do not have to be their best to beat them, except for a decent finale.

My six year old daughter loved it.
clarkbhist30 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Five stars from a 6 year old. No one dies and that is always a good thing. There are some intense moments but everything always turns out fine. It's a fun movie for kids of all ages but older kids will definitely get bored. If you're an adult with older children or an adult going by yourself it's probability going to be boring. The first film was very similar to this one except this time they get their powers and it's a marketing ploy to make more toys. They make a joke about that in the middle of the film. One great thing about the story is that sky gets her backstory in this one. In the first movie the backstory went to Chase.

Great Movie for the Family!
nikkinine30 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Such a cute movie and fun for the entire family! Our 3 1/2 year old really enjoyed it. She sat through the entire movie. This movie had it all...The action, drama, backstory, my only wish is that is was longer. It had lots of humor even for adults too. We were laughing quite a bit. I am hoping it is in theaters a longer than a week so we can see it again. Hopefully they make a 3rd one!!

Small spoiler: The only negative we really have besides wishing it was longer, is they did not play the theme song. We were waiting for it but never happened.

Just a heads up there was 24 minutes of previews before the movie started. Our daughter kept asking when was the moving going to start.
