Shobha's alarming discovery spawns more arguments within the family. In the past, pressure pushes Amara near a breaking point and Anamika faces danger.

Shobha informs Nikhil that she now knows that Nikhil was off his loans with the money meant for his movie. This is why Manish did not get any from the movie, as the accounts showed money being paid to Manish, and yet going to pay off Nikhil's debts. The police suspect that Nikhil has killed Anamika to access the life insurance money. Nikhil retorts that the insurance policy is of no use till the body is recovered.

Avinash has heard the entire conversation due to his listening device under Nikhil's desk. While leaving the house, Shobha discovers a bullet hole in a wooden pillar that was covered up earlier by Kalyani and Lata. Shobha wants to know how the bullet hole got there, and she admonishes the entire family from hampering the investigation. Yet, nobody says a word.

4 months earlier. The first draft of the movie is ready, and Anamika loves it. But Nikhil hates the movie as it as has artsy look to it. He was expecting an out and out mass entertainer that can sell to the masses. Anamika argues that today people like movies with some content in it. Nikhil reveals that their movie will release against Jaslyn's movie called "killer", which looks and feels like a commercial entertainer.

A sleazy tabloid reporter Pappu Kaushik reports the news of Avinash's attempted suicide and Anamika wants to know who leaked the confidential information to the press. Samar meets Avinash and tries to reconcile with him. Avinash goes home and tells Anamika that he wants to go to New York. Anamika is supportive, but Nikhil gets really agitated at the idea, as he believes Avinash is a slacker and only wants to goof off in America. Nikhil is not supportive of wasting money on a US education, but Avinash retorts that it is Anamika's money.

Billy asks Anamika to visit him as he is sick. When Anamika gets there, she finds that it was a ruse by Manish to get her to have dinner with him. It is clear that Anamika is in much confusion regarding her life. She wants Manish but is not willing to let go of her family either.

Amara is friends with Zarine (Garima Yajnik), who shares her interest in becoming an actress. They both go for auditions together, but Amara is not able to land any roles, while Zarine is invited for callbacks. Zarine is asked to meet the director at his hotel. Zarine is super excited, but Amara is now jealous of Zarine. She says that this is a casting couch. Amara says that she is just as talented as Zarine, but she is getting the roles because of her low-cut dresses and a free for all attitudes. She goes on a rant about how she can land roles easily due to the stature of her mother. This is recorded by onlookers on their mobile phones. As the video goes viral, Amara has a major crisis of confidence back at home. She tells Anamika that she is ugly, and she doesn't want to be like this.

Madhav was fanatical about Anamika Anand. What seemed like an innocent fan who wanted attention from the star took an insane turn. Madhav had Anamika's name tattooed across his back. He did all that he could to have a word or take a picture with her. Anamika learned about his insanity when he wanted to have a word with her inside her van and threatened her with a pair of scissors.

He wanted her to listen to him in silence. Madhav then explained his absurd theory, according to which he was Anamika's son. He always felt a deep connection with her, and when he studied through magazines and newspaper articles that she was missing in action for six months, he assumed that she was pregnant with Madhav at that time. He was confident that he was the son of Anamika and Manish, whom they decided to get rid of at an orphanage. He had no hate for Anamika, but he did not want her to rekindle her relationship with Manish. Anamika knew that the boy was deranged and that it would be futile to try to reason with him. She agreed with him and later asks Billy to get hold of the pictures he had taken of Anamika and Manish. Billy and his goons beat up Madhav to get the pictures, but Billy refuses to hand over the camera to Anamika. Anamika realizes that Billy is the one leaking the news about Avinash to Pappu Kaushik and takes the camera from him.

In the present. Shobha leaves. Avinash accuses Nikhil of losing all their money and killing Anamika. Nikhil is worried about the gun, which Kalyani says is in her possession. She is confident that police will never find the gun and admonishes Lata for bringing it in the house. Avinash wants to tell everything to the police, but Kalyani says that this will only tarnish Anamika's reputation ever further. She also says that this is all Avinash's fault.

But later, Lata and Kalyani cannot find the gun at its hiding place, even as Shobha's team turns the house upside down to find it. Madhav tracks down Billy and captures him at his house. Madhav gets the DNA report which clearly states that he is not Anamika's son. Madhav returns home to find Billy dead. He choked on his own vomit as Madhav had taped his mouth.
