When another young girl is found dead in the same condition, Constance and Andreas understand they are dealing with a serial murders case. In the resort of Nobleval, Stephan Wicht is found dead frozen after an alcoholic coma. French Gendarme Alain Bisset asks High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (the PGHM) Constance Vivier to team up with Swiss Police Officer Andreas Meyer to investigate. Although troubled by dreams of her older sister Virginie Vivier, who went missing 20 years ago, she complies with his order. They interview suspects, including Stephan's parents Urs Wicht and Mélanie Wicht, his girlfriend Léa Chesnais, Léa's dad Pascal Chesnais, a bartender Margaux Capelli, and Urs Wicht's business supporter Mayor Philippe Carroz. Soon Léa Chesnais and Mayor Philippe Carroz's son Max are found dead in the same conditions. Forensics shows the victims are frozen to death in a cryotherapy chamber. The only cryotherapy chamber in this resort is located in a physiotherapy clinic run by an ex national ski athlete Eric Tardy, who went missing 6 months ago. The investigators go to search the clinic and find Eric Tardy tied up and locked there. Since Margaux Capelli's son Jules is missing, all victims's parents, including Mélanie Wicht, Pascal Chesnais, Margaux Capelli, and Mayor Philippe Carroz, confess to the investigators that they and Virginie Vivier attended the same ski school and when they celebrated Virginie Vivier's birthday, they forced her to get drunk and played a prank on her, causing her to die frozen. Out of fear, they buried her body and remained silent, lest it would ruin their future. Now they assume it is Constance Vivier who takes revenge on them by killing their kids in the same way Virginie Vivier died. The investigators come to realize the killer is not Constance Vivier but her private assistant Gregory Valloire, who was Virginie Vivier's boyfriend. He kidnapped Eric Tardy, tortured the truth out of him, and takes revenge for her. When the investigators arrive to stop him from killing Jules, he shoots himself.
