I went into this laughing at the premise, and came out of it actually sort of enjoying it. This was definitely way better than it had any right to be.

In all honesty not the worst of the made for tv daytime mystery thriller films. The acting was actually quite good in certain places but its the script with these films that usually lets them down. Cringy with some of the words added. There was no slow parts in this film though which was a plus point. No time in the movie did I feel my finger about to fast Forword the film. I actually enjoyed it. The three members of the cast that played the family were quite good. The rival mother was but not as good really. The rest of the side characters could bef orgotten but hey they were still alright when it comes to it. Overall a good film and better than some.

A new mom moves to town with her hunky husband and teenage daughter. The new mom has a catering baking business. She wants to get her business started in the new town.
The newbie is offered to join the PTA and the competition starts. The head of the PTA is a beautiful stuck up perfectionist. Murders seem to happen around her. Everyone is afraid of her.
Don't get on the wrong side of head of the PTA. The new PTA mom wins a costume contest and immediately gets on the bad side of leader of the PTA. She also starts snooping into the past murders.
Fun movie even if it is a bit cliche. Best acting was the head of the PTA played by Alissa Filoramo.

Destined to become a cult classic

This is a highly entertaining and captivating movie. It's like a suspenseful modern day Hitchcock film as it verges on horror, yet has a sense of humor throughout. While a work of creative fiction, it's very believable. You can imagine everything actually happening.

This film was enormously disappointing due to the sluggish pace and the predictability of the action. The nightmare PTA mom is Vanessa Van DeBerg. Very early, it becomes clear that Vanessa has murdered two people. Her main goal in life is to remain head of the Bellhaven Academy PTA.
The depiction of the PTA in this film was a cringe fest. In an era where parents are deeply concerned about the quality of their children's education due to a broken system, there was never any mention of the curriculum and quality of learning. This PTA was only interested in fund raising, petty squabbling, and partying...including a session at Vanessa's home with a male stripper!
The cardboard characters elicited little interest in this film. Even the main focus on Gail Gardner, who has recently moved to the community with her husband Rick and daughter Chloe, led to major credibility issues. With no evidence, Gail believed that Rick might even be attracted to the repellent Vanessa.
The offspring were just as one-dimensional as their parents. And how are we to believe that Vanessa toppled over a balcony and survived with only a broken arm?
The production values of the film merit one star due to the interesting location footage and a creative set of costumes for a Halloween party. A second star must be awarded to the scrumptious baked goods from Gail's Goodies that were nicely presented. And a third star is assigned to the character of Rick, a genuine saint for having to endure the demands of both the monomaniacal PTA president and his mercurial wife!

Gail and Rick move to a new city along with their daughter, Chloe. While dropping her daughter off at school, Gail meets Vanessa, president of the PTA, who thinks she should attend the meetings and Gail agrees. But Vanessa, a dangerous psycho, becomes jealous of Gail and Rick and wants to break them up! What will she do? You will have to tune in to find out. Well acted and good plot. Definitely recommend!
Unexpectedly funny

I was expecting your typical Lifetime thriller with 'Nightmare PTS Moms' but it actually had a nice mix of comedy in it that isn't in a lot of other thrillers on the network. It's about a couple that moves to a new town with their daughter. The mother joins the school's PTA after meeting a charismatic Vanessa who turns out to be nuts. The whole story was believable because I could totally see this all playing out in real life (which definitely isn't always the case). I thought the chemistry between Gail and Chloe was strong as far as mother and daughter relationships go. There are plenty of other movies with a similar-ish plot, but I'd say it's got enough going for it that it's worth the watch :)
