Di Tarpey takes a small team to Russia to interview the two suspects, his life is made impossible by the designated liaison, who explains that only Dmitry Kovtun is available, but that he has also been poisoned with plutonium.
Each of the three episodes so far have been, and have felt very different, there's actually a bit of humour here, it's a big contrast to the very dry first episode.
I really did enjoy it, better than the second episode I thought, clearly a story of The Russian authorities giving The Brits the big runaround.
At one point you hear that this was the lowest point between Russia and The West, consider that very relationship in 2023.
I really rated Mark Bonnar's performance here, to the point that I've gotten over the shock of David Tennant being in just one episode.
Looking to the final, I hope we're given the conclusion and a bit more insight into Litvinenko's past, that's the one detail for me that's been lacking, I still don't know enough about him.
8/10.
