  Garry Miller : No, no, no. The kids will be glad you could make it.

  Bec Sanderson : You're looking very serious, Angus. There's nothing the matter, is there?

  Angus Li : Actually, I'm afraid there is.

  Bec Sanderson : What?

  Angus Li : Perhaps you and Garry should take a seat. This isn't going to be an easy conversation for any of us. Please.

  [he, Garry, and Bec take a seat] 

  Garry Miller : What is it, Angus?

  Bec Sanderson : What is the problem?

  Angus Li : Unhappily, I have to tell you that Solar Blue is now closed.

  Bec Sanderson : What do you mean, "closed"?

  Garry Miller : Yeah, we're all ready to go. Everything is ready to hold for the finals. How can we be closed?

  Angus Li : At yesterday's board meeting, the decision was taken to shut down all of the company's non-core businesses effective immediately. Solar Blue no longer exists.

  Garry Miller : I'm sorry, you're going to have to explain yourself.

  Angus Li : It's just as I said. Solar Blue is out of business.

  Bec Sanderson : But what about the finals? I mean, the last 12 months have been geared towards this one day.

  Garry Miller : The kids can still compete for the wildcards, can't they?

  Angus Li : Unfortunately, uh, no.

  Bec Sanderson : Why not?

  Angus Li : Sponsoring two people on the pro circuit for a year is very expensive. It's not money the company feels it can justified spending.

  Garry Miller : Oh, come on. You're kidding me, right?

  Angus Li : Oh, I wish I was. And I'm awfully, awfully sorry, but there's nothing I can do about it.

  Bec Sanderson : This is so unfair. This means the kids have spent an entire year for nothing. Do you have any idea how devastated they'll be to hear this?
