CHASING DARKNESS is a truly lame shot-on-video indie flick from 2007. It tries to mix together various genres into one successful whole but the attempt stalls from the outset with the stilted acting on display and clichéd plot elements. There are even some (very poor) attempts at martial arts which are best left unmentioned. The tale sees a former hit-man attempting to start a new life only to find himself hunted by his old employers. Even worse, a rival gang is composed entirely of vampires, but it all boils down to the usual larking about in the woods, a complete embarrassment for all involved.
