Dreaming of Leo is the second of Two Conversation Films written and directed by Tom Yarwood. The other, Balham vs Clapham, is also being submitted to this festival. Both are dramatic short films reduced to bare essentials: one location, one scene, two characters. And both are about arguments over nothing: a dream, or the location of a party. But in each case, something quite different is really at stake: the characters' self-esteem and faith in love. In Dreaming of Leo, a young, lonely gay man tells of an erotic dream in which a film star fell in love with him. The happiness it has given him provokes intense envy in his equally lonely friend, and the ensuing argument threatens to destroy their friendship.
