- Reporter: Kelly, how do you feel returning to Dallas?
- Kelly Canter: I feel ok, I think it's gonna be good.
- Reporter: Anything else to say to your fans?

- James Canter: The first time I heard you sing... I thought that it must be what angels sound like. Thought I died and gone to heaven.
- Kelly Canter: I love that story.
- James Canter: 'Cause it's true.
- Chiles Stanton: What if I told you I was never Miss Dallas?
- Beau Hutton: Well I'll probably like you even more. Were you?
- Chiles Stanton: I almost was.

- Chiles Stanton: Bulltrue. I happen to be in consideration as an opening act for Miss Kelly Canter. James, my new manager, booked me this gig as a rehearsal. Not that I need it. I've been waiting for this moment since I was four year old.
- Beau Hutton: Last time I saw you sing, you froze up like an ice cube.
- Chiles Stanton: That was seven and a half months ago. And it was just that one time. I'm not playing county fairs anymore. I'm much more seasoned.
- Beau Hutton: You don't have any songs. You can't even play the guitar.
- Chiles Stanton: I've been writing songs. I got a whole bunch of them right over there.
- [points at her dresser]
- Beau Hutton: [reads the titles of the lyrics] Little Heartbreaker, Summer Girl, Rinky Dinky Town... these aren't songs, these are rides at Disneyland.
- Chiles Stanton: [sings mockingly] I've got friends in low places where the whiskey drowns...
- Reporter: Chiles, who is your idol?
- Chiles Stanton: Kelly Canter and Jesus Christ.
- Beau Hutton: [to Kelly] You and Jesus Christ, who would have thought?
- Kelly Canter: They love her.
- Chiles Stanton: Dallas is gonna be canceled isn't it? She's crazy.
- Beau Hutton: She's not crazy. She's the only honest one here. Why are you here Chiles?
- Chiles Stanton: Uhm.
- Beau Hutton: I'm tired.
- [closes the door]
- Chiles Stanton: Wait.
- [blocked the door]

- Chiles Stanton: Stop it.

- Beau Hutton: She's not crazy.

- [takes papers from Chiles' hands]

- Beau Hutton: [laughing] What the hell are these things?
- Chiles Stanton: Well... as a woman in this industry, people have a habit of thinking I'm some kind of ignoramous. And my pageant training doesn't exactly help things, so I have to overcompensate. I don't want people to think I'm some dumb beauty queen.
- Beau Hutton: I never called you a dumb beauty queen. I'm serious, anybody that says "ignoramous" so casually... that's not dumb at all.
- Beau's Bandmate: Ugh. Why don't y'all sleep together and get this over with?
- Beau Hutton: [they're riding on a train] So, what do you think?
- Kelly Canter: I think I'm Kelly Canter and I'm breaking the law!
