Olympic scandal strikes again

As an avid fan of the olympics this was a wild and captivating story. The documentary was unbiased and interviewed relevant people and stuck to the facts and archival footage.

Solid Episode

Filled with 'bad sports', definitely living up to the title.

Tamara needs to just sit down and be quiet- we ALL watched him stumble, and that is an error. The Canadian team executed flawlessly, received better scores, but because of corruption, we're handed a silver rather than gold.

I can almost feel empathy for the Russian pair- to admit that you lost gold diminishes that single achievement, and in Russia, that single achievement is all you have to hold. Your entire life is focused around that single event.

We all know what happened, and we all know the Canadian team won- they're not a footnote or an asterisk- they're gold medalists.

This is why any sport that determines winners based on a judge shouldn't be considered a 'sport', per say. It's far too easy to corrupt and become insidious.

The Cold War dance.

Salt Lake City 2002, the most shocking event at the main event, were judges coerced into awarding a gold medal to Russia, instead of Canada.

I'm not particularly a fan of the Winter Olympics, but a few events I will watch, the crowning event being this one, the figure skating final. I can remember watching this with sheer annoyance, the Russians were very good, but the Canadians were robbed.

It's hugely controversial, Russia has such a bad history in sports, one of the reasons they are currently banned from the games, however, that is not the fault of the individual athletes. I actually thought Elena came across fantastically well, she was sincere, down to Earth, and had a troubled past, Jamie Salé on the other hand, perhaps coming across as a little ruthless, I found her a little harder to take to.

This was a totally unbiased, balanced, and very fair documentary, I think most of us would agree, The Canadians were robbed.

This was a thrilling watch, 9/10.

Great story

Well done episode. The Russian coach though "it wasn't a mistake.... it was little details". So glad the judging system changed. The Russians would never have won with the "little details".

Slow

This particular episode spend too much time on details that was boring. The actual case itself started almost at the end. Definitely the weakest of the series.
