Kind of predictable but enjoyable if you look past the flaws

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was cute if you look past all the flaws such as the fact that they had to steal information from the church and from the hospital and then it seemed as if only this one high-powered investigator was able to get information in unethical ways. It was very predictable that her father would be a Black man and her mother would be a white woman. I did enjoy the movie and almost shed a tear when they reunited mother, father and child. It does paint an unrealistic picture of the happy ending though.

Lacks depth or passion

Warning: Spoilers
As an adoptee I wanted to love this movie but it was just bad despite the inclusion of some otherwise good actors. The plot was just thin & containing little substance or passion.

It's like a child's story outline that never goes any deeper than the outline itself but includes the popular tropes of an adoptee wanting more information about themselves, the closeted gay best friend that everyone but the best friend knows is gay, the "famed" (per the synopsis, investigator who is the only one who can help, the dishonest security guard who accepts a pbribe to grant access to official records, etc ad nauseum.

The whole thing builds, but not really, to a predictable ending that elicited nothing more than irritation at having not changed channels when it first started.

Made me laugh, made me cry!

This is a wonderful holiday movie. It is heartwarming mixed with a touch of humor. I highly recommend it! All the acting was great, and Alex "stole the show" as the brother. I would like this to be a recurring theme for adoptees/missing loved ones.

Most Inspiring Movie Ever

I was adopted and s du by till haven't met my birth parents as of yet! This movie reals you in! Coming from an adoptee, this movie gives you hope that you should and can find your birth parents. I personally also related to all the emotions n feelings Eve was going through! It gives you hope! It makes you feel the ups and downs of what it's like for a person who's adopted. It also really dives into all that a person goes through that's there for the adoptee.

It's an out-of-the-giftbox Christmas Movie event!
chuguesii5 December 2023
"Eve was abandoned as a baby at Christmas. When she is unable to move on with her life because of the mystery, her boyfriend hires a private investigator to find her parents."

I don't normally watch too many Christmas movies, so the clichés are lost on me. And I believe that is an advantage for this writer. Because part of my writing process is that I like going through different reviews. Let it marinate like a fine wine after I've watched it and formed my own opinion, then explore different outlooks. Especially if there is an actor or actress I follow. Keeps me grounded. This movie is no different. I decided to view this movie because I follow and even had the privilege to speak too, the beautiful Juliana Harkavy (Pam) "Arrow-verse", "If You Only Knew."

Without giving any spoilers away, It's an out-of-the-giftbox Christmas Movie. This movie had surprisingly different types of layers, which I was flabbergasted to see in a Christmas Movie. This Christmas Feature Event had "A Message of Hope & Faith!" And it doesn't matter if you're born into a family, or that you create one of your own. "Who Is Christmas Eve" is a movie that shows the masses that we are ALL looking for some kind of connection. And no matter how old we are, no matter WHAT kind of distance that we all must overcome or who stands in our way, shows us that it is in our very BEING that we are compelled to make even the tiniest bond. And that my friend is the true meaning of Christmas!

It was well diverse and very well rounded in many aspects including race & sexual orientation. Like I said, I don't watch too many Christmas Movies, so my expectations were low. If Juliana Harkavy wasn't in it, I wouldn't have even bothered. But this movie took me by surprise! And I've seen the actors in different projects in the past and they brought their "A" game.

For instance, "Paige Hurd" who played Eve, I've seen in "Cradle 2 The Grave," "The Cat in The Hat" & "Beauty Shop". She is very beautiful, and I am intrigued to see more of her! Also, Romeo Miller played Chris, which I thought was adorable in "Honey." This is the first time I've noticed him as an adult. Come to find out I've also seen him in The Defenders, Charlie's Angels & Empire without recognizing him as Lil' Romeo! He REALLY surprised me with his acting chops! And of course, Juliana Harkavy who played Pam, which I first seen her in "DC's Arrow-verse" & "If You Only Knew." This is an actress that CONTINUES to surprise me. Talent, Beauty & a bit of an activist, which spells Triple Threat for me! I am so excited to see more of her!

In conclusion, if you're fine watching the same boring Christmas movie over, and over again. And refuse to broaden your palate. Then you really shouldn't watch this movie. You couldn't handle it. But if you know someone who is a little more innovative than you might be, tell them about this movie and show them this review. They have my kind of taste. But hey, maybe they might get you to watch it with them. However, it's free on Tubi! So, what do you have to lose?

Lol.
