Netflix has dropped a teaser trailer for “Supersex,” the series freely inspired by the real life of global porn star Rocco Siffredi, which will world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival and drop March 6 on the streamer.
“Every power is an enigma. It can give you light, or throw you into darkness. But every existence lived to its fullest always has a price to pay,” a voiceover says in the teaser as Siffredi is bombarded by fans and paparazzi.
The show looks at how “Rocco Tano — a simple guy from Ortona [a small town in central Italy] — became Rocco Siffredi, the most famous pornstar in the world,” according to its official synopsis.
The hotly anticipated series is created and written by prominent Italian screenwriter Francesca Manieri, who is known for her feminist works.

Netflix has released first-look images of limited series “The Leopard,” based on the classic Sicily-set novel by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa that marks the streamer’s most ambitious Italian original to date.
Production on the lavish historical tapestry with elements comparable to “Downton Abbey” or “The Crown” – and potential to make a global mark – is currently underway in the Sicilian cities of Palermo, Syracuse and Catania. The show is a modern take on the sensual Sicilian saga famously adapted into a film by Luchino Visconti starring Claudia Cardinale, Alain Delon and Burt Lancaster. The movie, now an Italian cinema classic, won the 1963 Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
Published posthumously in 1958, “The Leopard” chronicles the changes in Sicilian life and society during the 19th century unification of Italy, known as the Risorgimento. It became the top-selling novel in modern Italian literature of its day and was translated into more than 40 different languages.

Photo: 'Love & Gelato' To Rome with Love (and Gelato) A lot of us have been at that point in our lives, where we’re done with high school and now we’re applying for colleges — hopefully with scholarships. You realize that you’re about to enter a completely new phase in your life and the people you hang out with in high school (probably the same people you’ve been hanging out with since the first grade) will probably play absolutely no part in this new phase. Expectations are different. You may have to help pay your way through college, which means getting a part-time job. You’ll probably regret the time you spent with that one guy you dated during senior year, then proceed to forget about him. Lina, the heroine of ‘Love & Gelato’, is at that point in her life, which given my own position,...

Last week, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” (Disney/19.99) was the big new release for home platforms. While we have no reports yet for its impact on Disney+ streaming subscribers, on the PVOD charts, the Marvel Cinematic Universe entry currently sits at #1 on both Vudu and Google Play and #2 at iTunes (where it had been in first its initial four days).
Otherwise, this week’s charts suggest a continuing a trend detected last week: outside of the week’s hottest new title, consumers are actively looking for films available to view for 5.99 or less, rather than opting for higher priced PVOD picks.
Case in point? “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” (Lionsgate/5.99). The Nicolas Cage-starring meta comedy, which sees the actor starring as a version of himself (complete with winking and nodding at many of his on-screen characters), is currently #1 at iTunes, fifth on both Vudu and Google Play.

A slew of top-notch directors, producers and stars is set to make the trek to the fifth edition of the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival, which combines film and TV and is stepping up efforts to serve as a collective celebration of the Italian and global industry’s restart spirit.
Since Italy’s box office returns are sputtering due to audience aversion to wearing a mask in theaters, Tiziana Rocca, chief of this unique event, is adding an open-air venue with a giant screen at its main hub, the Forte Village resort near Cagliari, capital of the emerald island of Sardinia (Sardegna in Italian).
“Seeing movies in the open air is a different thrill, especially for younger audiences that have been rebelling against mandatory masks in movie theaters,” Rocca says.
Accordingly, the June 9-12 fest will open with the Italian premiere of Universal’s crowd-pleaser “Jurassic World Dominion” in its new outdoor Piazza Forte Cinema.

"Well, Italy, I have this weird feeling you might completely change my life." Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for Love & Gelato, another cheesy, cute, amusing romantic comedy from Netflix as part of their "let's make as many mediocre films as we can" strategy. The film is about the adventures & misadventures of Lina, a young American in search of herself, her roots in a glittering Rome, and of course a lot of gelato. Based on the book by Jenna Evans Welch. In the book, she doesn't really want to be there. "But then Lina is given a journal that her mom had kept when she lived in Italy. Suddenly Lina's uncovering a magical world of secret romances, art, and hidden bakeries. A world that inspires Lina, along with the ever-so-charming Ren, to follow in her mother's footsteps..." Starring Susanna Skaggs, Saul Nanni, Valentina Lodovini, Anjelika Washington, and Tobia De Angelis.

We are all suckers for a night of Netflix and, well…chill, with mighty movie adventures. With Netflix originals such as “The Umbrella Academy” and “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before,” it’s no surprise that the excitement for new releases is at an all-time high.
With “Stranger Things” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” being full of many binge-worthy episodes, Netflix has really been outdoing itself lately. 2022 has been a rough year for all of us so far.
We are all looking for something new and exciting that makes us go on mighty movie adventures, we are looking for a new “Umbrella Academy” and “Netflix Film Iron Chef”! This is why Netflix is still an award-winning streaming service because they are able to give us the goods, or can we say, dark materials even before requested!
They have a range, with shows across all categories to choose from at an affordable monthly fee.
