Alternate episodes of this with Scot Squad and see if you can tell the characters apart! The moment police officers became "cops" and began referring to law breakers as "mate" is pretty much when it all went wrong. A bunch of immature clowns revelling in their own sense of importance are unlikely to leave the villains quaking. Tune into any episode and enjoy our police force using slang terminology and posing in eyewear straight out of "Chips" as they pad their own egos. I suppose, given a diet of MacDonalds, chips, rice and curry sauce this is the best we might expect but who thought it a good idea to let us all in on the joke? For the most part police in our country do a great job and in doing so are exposed to danger so that we, the general public, are not. Sadly, this does nothing to represent that great institution. Final ramble: instead of watching this, spend the hour having a chat with your local police man or woman who keeps the peace on our behalf. I'm sure it's a lonely job at times.
