Could be better
Abdulxoxo14 September 2022
This film can be dissected in two parts. The first half, which is ultimately my favorite, is more of a dark thriller about hostage-negotiation scenario. Also the mystery elements presented in this part is a big plus. We are dealing with hostage situation and we basically don't know anything about the figure's motives or what they want. And that certainly keeps your attention. Bit by bit we are provided information as to why the character does what he does. The second half deals with this. It is almost entirely flashback sequences which is, where this film loses its magic and momentum. The flashback scenes did provide some context but they went overboard with them to the point where you'd think you're watching a different film. After the hour-long flashbacks, you'd totally lose interest in whatever's going on. This film surely has a lot to say about the elites. It addresses the corruption and bribery in the higher government and how it affects the common people. The film made its message clear enough but fails to justify its lengthy runtime, and despite some flashbacks, the feature suffers from many inconsistencies. Overall, this movie could use a trim here and there, a polished script and a more focused direction. A decent watch though.

Neatly negotiated with Koreans
Moviebuff_Chennai22 July 2022
This is a remake of Korean movie 'The Negotiation", which was released in the year 2018.

The starting few minutes were fully copied and just the name of the characters and relationships were differently potrayed.

There is a very lengthy flashback in this Godse as Indian audience need more of emotions and Indian cinema heroes need their fans to be happy seeing them on screen - but who needs them actually? It is distracting the pace and boring as well. Simply I didn't like much.

Climax was also similar and this movie also involves politicians and their corruption.

For audience who did not see the Korean version will definitely like Godse... If the flashback was lesser duration or crispy - this would have been a super movie.

So many PLOTHOLES
bsahasra17 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The movie used the budge on great sets and actors.(reason why I gave 5 stars atleast) BUT THE MOVIE IS FILLED WITH PLOTHOLES AND THE STORY MAKES NO SENSE. The backstory was the problem I feel.

Plothole or plot error is a gap or inconsistency in a storyline that goes against the flow of logic established by the story's plot.

That's all I see in the movie....

The female police character doesn't behave like a police but a childish. I HATE that character The male lead character is nice, cool and realised.

I am glad at least the ending was cool, decent and watchable.

NOBLE STORY
skm19023814 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Vaishali, a negotiating officer is assigned to negotiate with a mysterious person named Nathuram Godse, who kidnaps several high-profile businessmen and SP Sameer. Vaishali negotiates Godse, while the police secretly surround his base in a secret island. Godse tells Vaishali to bring Industrial Minister Phani Kumar. After answering many questions, Phani Kumar reveals that the companies are actually called as shell companies which are non-existent and only printed on newspaper, which they can use for fraud against jobless men into getting jobs in exchange for profits.

This enrages Godse, who kills Sameer despite threats from DGP. Vaishali leaves after scolding the Home Secretary, where she manages to find that Godse is actually a London-based businessman named Viswanath Ramachandra. Anand Kumar is replaced to negotiate with Godse, but the latter warns him to leave by threatening and kidnapping his minister uncle at knifepoint, and tells that he wants to negotiate with Vaishali only. Vaishali is called back and Godse tells her to call MP Ajay Sarathy. Godse ask Ajay about killing his pregnant wife Shalini by making it as a robbery case which was negotiated by Vaishali earlier, and also brings the goon who had killed Shalini.

When asked about his purpose, Godse asks Vaishali to bring media baron Punyamurthy, retired Chief Justice Anantha Krishnan and Chief Election Commissioner Lakshmi Narayana. Afterwards, Godse kills the dacoits. Later, it is revealed that Godse was a businessman who arrived at World Business Summit and was proposed a project by Phani Kumar and Ajay Sarathy. Godse refused the project and later arrived at his village for a college reunion, but learns that his best friend Rajaram had committed suicide. Rajaram was an science aspirant who is unemployed and was working as a painter. When Rajaram was insulted and unable to become a scientist, he committed suicide.

Godse decide to shut down his businesses and start a new business firm in India, but was stopped by Ajay, Phani Kumar and the CM by making him to stop the construction and leave back for London. However, Godse decide to stay back and with the help of his hacker friend manages to gather evidence about the CM, Phani Kumar and Ajay's illegal activities and heads to provide these evidence to the Governor, but the CM orchestrates an accident which killed his friends, but Godse manages to escape and also learns about Shalini's death which makes him to take up the part of vigilante justice. Having learnt all this, Godse reveals that he already leaked about the ministers' illegal dealings and qualifications to the media.

Anand Kumar and his team head to the island, but finds that Godse escaped and accidentally detonated the bomb, which explodes killing Anand and the businessmen. Godse arrives at the CM's house with purchased drones and attacks the security, where he meets CM, Ajay and others. He makes an impassioned speech about the sacrifices of parents and students seeking jobs which is not their qualification, along with other aspirant businessmen seeking to do something for the nation. Godse then detonates his bomb jacket, which explodes and kills the CM and others along with him. Vaishali recovers a hard drive which was delivered by Godse's friend, and she submits the hard drive to the Governor, explaining that Godse's actions came due to the corrupt political system. With this, the Governor takes actions against the politicians. GOOD STORY.

THE NEGOTIATION COPY
noormazlina17 July 2022
The movie copied the enitre plot from the korean movie the negotiation. Most of the polt had a heavy resemblance to the original korean version of the plot but with a bit of indian twist. The actors performance was outstanding where as the actresses though at 1st riled up my expectations plummeted down as the movie moves on.

Godse
kiran35318 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I am surprised the movie has been released in OTT within one month of the theatrical release. Good acting by K. Satyadev . Aishwarya dubbing in Telugu was pathetic. Her acting in the movie was also worse. But what I liked the best was how the movie defined the shell companies. I think no movie has ever described what are shell companies. The employment situation in our country is pathetic . It's needless to say . Many a times we must have read in the newspaper , post graduates applying for a peon job. And lakhs of aspirants applying for few 100 jobs which are way below their educational qualifications. In our country, educational qualification has no relation to the job that a graduate is doing and it's a very sorry state of affairs. The movie captured everything very well. Unemployment, frustration, red tapism in clearances of private companies almost everything that applies to the current scenario and guess what its rated 6.50 in IMDb while useless movies are rated very high in IMDb. It deserves a 7 put of 10. Nice and honest attempt by the director and good efforts put in by the entire team.

Hard to imagine ppl actually getting paid for this
generalGib22 July 2022
This is so weird, they bring a dead body wrapped in funeral cloth in a college reunion and for some reason entire college is getting emotional about it.

Felt like this movie was a string of character auditions before they get called to do actual acting.

A Great message to the society
brijprakash23 July 2022
This movie really depicts its how much difficult to setup a business in India for normal people. From top to bottom everyone is corrupted, and if you want to have a business you have to be a part of it.

Godse-Need more gripping
suryayerra-7424815 August 2022
The basic plot of movie is good, but it's spoiled by unconvincing narration and non-gripping screenplay, also the casting and production values can be better,Satya dev action is the highlight and appealing point for the movie.

Plagiarism gone too wrong
'The negotiations ' (2018 korean)was a pretty ok movie with decent screenplay and neat making. Where are Godse, even copying the basic structure fails to impress you. They have tried to say so many things. The corrupt Indian political scenario being the major one. But sadly, story doesn't connect with audio. What I felt odd was the dubbing. It was so bad. Another negative for me was the terrible acting by the leads. It was like a competition for bad acting. Highly avoidable one.

Brilliant movie
crravikiran15 October 2022
Satya dev movies are high quality movies with good story line. This movie is an eye opener for Indians. Corrupt politicians are ruining this country and playing with future of students. I always support movies which shows the reality. Although the hero uses violence and against the law methods, it is a plot that fits the movie . Public elects a government and has the power to criticise the wrong doings. The movie takes through the life of an NRI businessman who faces stubborn and corrupt politicians on his path to create employment. Don't know why this movie has poor rating, may be the guilty politicians are deliberately giving negative reviews.

Felt unrealistic and poor level of execution
rohit_vit202023 August 2022
Story is good, but it has been executed very poorly. Felt less manliness. This rating is all bcoz of acting of satyadev. His acting only had saved the film. The film has taken us to good ride in the beginning, but failed to reach the expectations. Something great was missing. The intention of the film is anyhow good.

aji4u4ever21 August 2022
First of all, I feel pity for Mr. Satyadev. I liked his movies, he normally acts in good movies but this never near to hit the bulls eye. The director should have consulted some negotiators / at least could have done some homework on negotiations. Aishwarya Lekshmi was wasted and the performance were below par in terms of her acting. The whole movie is cliched, wafer thin plot with unrealistic hostage scenes and threatening scene. Almost all the scenes felt like fabricated and the emotions were not even connected. All in whole, an avoidable one.

Possibly the worst movie I have watched
MovieBuff0224 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The movie starts off with a ridiculously written hostage negotiation scene. The hostage negotiator loses her composure and essentially causes killing of the hostages.

The same hostage negotiator becomes the centre of the rest of the movie wherein a disgruntled businessman turns into a rogue vigilante who has taken it upon himself to expose corrupt politicians - in a really odd manner.

The story doesn't make sense at any point.

All of this shot with no technical or background research, peppered with horrible acting and script writing. Satyadev Kancharana & Aishwarya Lekshmi cannot act to save their lives!

Boring movie ever seen
yogakasireddy17 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was really boring to watch, there isn't a single element in the movie worth watching that includes acting, story, mystery elements etc.

This is by far the worst thriller mystery flick i have ever seen, it looks like a copy from Jana Gana Mana , including the dialogues, the dialogue when Satya Dev mentions how did this people get this power is exact copy from Jana Gana Mana movie's court scene, the idea behind the story was good but I wonder why the director chose to go to such a bad narration, pace, and execution, even junior artists who used to act better were acting so bad in the movie.

Drooping Indian Telugu cinema. Just dont watch it.
Sr333 August 2022
Whats the obsession over a woman's body measurements about? For 5 mins? Showcase of villains as mentally retarded was so poorly executed felt like a college short film project. Kidnap scenes too, especially their dialogue delivery. In addition, the cliche sequels and cliche techno-graphic background in police cybersecurity offices, in simple terms the screenplay was undercooked, felt like a half baked gooey pizza. Plot was boring, not even worth 1 watch for this squalor of a movie. Dont waste my time again.

Relevant theme in Today's scenario
indi_kitty28 July 2022
With uprising happening in Sri Lanka, Egypt and many more countries. Corrupt politicians have to pay not just jail time but with their lives. Teachers Scam, Bank Scam, Sugar cane Scam, Gold smuggling Scam. Many States in India have gone to dogs especially Bengal, Maharashtra, TN, Kerala, Karnataka.

I hope youngsters will take head on the corrupt government officials, politicians to the task rather than blindly supporting them for meager Rs500/-.

Intro of the heroine was bad, she does not have drive crazy to prove she is a cop and ASP.

Hopeless movie. Very unrealistic. The first 15 min with the hostage was so childish. Why don't we make good reliable and realist movies ? Is it because the people accept just anything ? We need to boycott such silly ones. The hostage scene was a sure failure , who shouts in a dangerous scene ? .........

.................

Shamelessly Bad!
kleesyjane25 July 2022
Surpringly even few-films-old actors too did a bad, very bad action. Everything about this movie is just plain bad, except for some known faces. I'm seriously surprised the director made it this far! Some characters are just so clueless; they're either paid bad or just uninterested..

There's no dialogue lip sync for more than half of the movie! Satyadev's beard did better acting than the actual actors! Plot was slow and boring! Most illogical movie of the year!

Very well directed and Satya Dev is super as always
rajeshsadula18 July 2022
Very well directed and show the real picture of the India politicians.

Many people in India wants to do something but due to political games it will be delayed/betrayed them like anything.

Government should be controlled by some sensible laws, politicians are not god to rule everything.
