Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • The main characters have sex, but no nudity is shown. Brief kissing between minor characters. The main character appears semi-nude when she tries to commit suicide, but only her rear end is really visible, and that not very clear due to lighting.

Violence & Gore

  • Rhoda gets into a car accident, killing a pregnant mother and child, leaving the father in a coma. We see Rhoda, badly bruised and partially bloodied trying to walk, and a car (the family's car) with the windshield smashed in and torn open, and the bloodied faces of John and his wife. We see their son (lying face down) in the roadside nearby.
  • John, when he realizes what Rhoda had done (years later) pins her against a wall and nearly strangles her.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • John and Rhoda toast some alcoholic beverage, and its implied John drinks frequently. Rhoda's brother asks her if she wants to "get high," but he doesn't mean in the drug sense. Rhoda drives drunk.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • When the scientist makes first contact with Earth 2, it can be very unsettling to some people as she is actually talking to her self.
  • The car crash scene is intense
