Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thrillers and the supernatural, released today the trailer for the new documentary, Sharksploitation from filmmaker Stephen Scarlata. In the wake of blockbuster classic Jaws, a new subgenre was born. This new documentary explores the weird, wild cinematic legacy of sharks on film and the world’s undying fascination. The film features multiple interviews including of Roger Corman, producer of Sharktopus and Dinoshark; Joe Dante, who directed Corman’s Piranha; Carl Gottlieb, writer of Jaws 1, 2 and 3; Johannes Roberts, director of 47 Meters Down, and Mario Van Pebbles, who starred in Jaws the Revenge along with marine and environmental conservation advocate Wendy Benchley, who was married to late Jaws, author Peter Benchley.
Produced by Scarlata, Kerry Deignan Roy (Leap of Faith: William Friedkin on The Exorcist), and Josh Miller (Sonic the Hedgehog), the feature-length documentary examines the sub-genre of sharksploitation films, from...

Ever since Steven Spielberg’s career-launching blockbuster “Jaws” broke out in 1975, the world’s obsession with sharks has not slackened. Evidence of this is the glut of films – and TV series – about the much-maligned and misunderstood predator.
“The movie ‘Jaws’ had a massive impact on me becoming a filmmaker, and it began my lifelong fascination with sharks,” said director-producer Stephen Scarlata whose documentary “Sharksploitation” participates in the Frontières co-production market, organized by the Fantasia International Film Festival in tandem with Cannes’ Marché du Film.
Scarlata (“Jodorowsky’s Dune”) and his team recently secured an all-important interview with marine and environmental conservation advocate Wendy Benchley, who was married to late “Jaws” author Peter Benchley.
Benchley is known to have expressed his deep regret about the characterization of the shark in his bestselling novel that Spielberg adapted. “There is no such thing as a rogue shark which develops a taste for human flesh.

If you thought it was only studios like The Asylum who were cranking out giant sea creature flicks for Syfy you’d be completely wrong – Roger Corman and his New Horizon Pictures are still producing the kind of cheap and cheerful monster movies that Corman made his name with to this day. Only unlike The Asylum, Corman and co. don’t seem to want to keep to just giant monsters… Instead they’ve cross-bred their monsters as time has gone on – no longer are they satisfied with plain-old Supergator, their first giant creature flick; nope they’ve brought us the crazy combos of Dinoshark, Dinocroc (who took on Supergator in 2010), Piranhaconda; and their craziest giant killer creature combination, Sharktopus.

From legendary producer Roger Corman, the director of Dinoshark, and the screenwriter of Sharktopus comes Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader, and the Epix original movie is available Now on various VOD platforms.
Kevin O’Neill directs. Former Georgia Teen USA 2007 Jena Sims stars as Cassie Stratford, an aspiring college cheerleader who consumes an experimental drug that grants her beauty and enough athletic ability to make the cheer squad. It also has a very unfortunate side effect that you should be able to ascertain from the film’s title.
Sean Young (Blade Runner) appears as Cassie’s mom, and Ted Raimi (“Xena: Warrior Princess”) plays a professor. Mary Woronov (Death Race 2000), Ryan Merriman (“Pretty Little Liars”), and Treat Williams (Deep Rising) also appear in this cheerily campy Corman creation.

For similar reasons to why budget-stretching pioneer Roger Corman recently produced schlock called Piranhaconda and Dinoshark (but not that ripoff Sharknado), director-producer Florian Steinbiss's German-set, largely German-cast comedy mixes genres with all the quality control of a fourth-grader dispensing every soda flavor into one cup. Co-starring as a professor and father, Steinbiss—who apparently grew up near the original Neander Valley fossil discovery—has no budget and even fewer laughs. Stiltedly filmed in English, Neander-Jin depicts the inexplicable modern-day materialization of a colossal-browed subspecies time-traveler (Jon Chardiet). There are broad, lazy bits about huckster opportunism, an activist beauty who loves the beast philanth...

Sharktopus. Dinoshark. Dinocroc. All pale in comparison to Syfy’s upcoming “2 Creatures for the Price of 1” extravaganza, Piranhaconda. Roger Corman’s latest killer hybrid is scheduled to air on the network in October. Roger Corman graced Syfy with a Sharktopus. For his foray into producing for the Epix network, the “King of the B’s” is busting out Attack of the 50-Foot Cheerleader (in 3D no less) and has assembled quite a cast for a movie about a giant cheerleader on a rampage.
Shockingly, Roger Corman did not produce the 1950’s cult classic Attack of the 50-Foot Woman or its 1990’s remake starring Daryl Hannah. He also had nothing to do with 1995’s Attack of the 60-Foot Centerfold; that was Fred Olen Ray’s homage. Now, at the ripe old age of 86 (and still kicking), Corman is finally getting a piece of the giant woman on the attack action with Attack of the 50-Foot Cheerleader.

We’ve all been told not to judge something by it’s cover. However, when you see a title like Metal Shifters, Camel Spiders, or Ice Quake, you should probably have an inkling that you’re about to watch a B movie. For the B-lovers out there, these three titles pack some ridiculous moments that are sure to entertain.
Metal Shifters:
Just when you thought there weren’t enough movies about Idaho, Paul Ziller brings B-movie lovers a little gem called Metal Shifters. Having enjoyed an array of farfetched Syfy movies, I can usually take any plot line with a grain of salt. However, with this film, I found myself pondering some simple, moral questions. My biggest quandary stems from the premise of the movie: if a strange, metal object plummeted from the sky, would your first thought be “I wonder how much I could sell that for?” Probably not.

Roger Corman is one of those distinct Hollywood personalities that everyone has been exposed to in some manner. Whether you are aware of the man’s name or not, odds are you have seen a film he has produced, written or directed.
He has given many big names, from Jack Nicholson to Francis Ford Coppola, their start as part of the “Corman Film School”. His influence is immense in the film industry, and this is the focus of Alex Stapleton’s documentary, Corman’s World.
The film opens with Corman on the set of Dinoshark, doing what the man does best: making a movie! Well into his eighties, Corman is just as hands on as ever on the set of this sci-fi cheapie that was shot in Mexico. Over the next hour and a half (I beg that the film could have easily been twice as long and not suffered for it) Roger Corman,...

Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel Directed by Alex Stapelton Featuring Interviews with Roger Corman, Jack Nicholson, Ron Howard, and Martin Scorsese Review by Brandon Moore
Considering the fact that he has been writing, producing, and directing films for more than half a century, it’s shocking that it’s taken this long to produce a credible documentary regarding King of the B-Movies Roger Corman. Two years after his honorary Oscar, Corman’S World: Exploits Of A Hollywood Rebel explores the history of one of cinema’s most prolific writer/director/producers. However, while the admiration for Corman’s work ethic and talent shine through, the documentary struggles to be little more than a fluff piece that could be reconstructed on Wikipedia, and never truly gains a sense of how Corman feels about his long and varied career.

Corman’S World: Exploits Of A Hollywood Rebel
Featuring: Roger Corman, Joe Dante, Peter Bogdanovich, Jack Nicholson, Dick Miller, Robert DeNiro, David Carradine, William Shatner | Directed by Alex Stapleton
Roger Corman is perhaps the most prolific and influential Hollywood filmmaker in the history of the medium. His immeasurable imprint on American cinema not only spans over six decades but has resulted in creating an indelible cinematic body of work as well as a legacy of training the next generation of actors, writers, directors and producers – many of whom have created cinema masterpieces of their own – including many listed above!
I’m a huge fan of exploitation cinema, I have been my entire movie-watching life. After all I grew up in the video generation – a generation in which lurid VHS boxes promised more than the movies within contained and a time when my movie experiences influenced the types of films I relish in and enjoy today.

A new documentary pays tribute to the prolific independent filmmaker, Roger Corman. Here’s Ryan’s review of the entertaining Corman’s World…
The importance of Roger Corman in American filmmaking cannot be underestimated. Without Corman, the New Hollywood style of filmmaking, which arguably began with Easy Rider in 1969, would never have happened. Directors such as Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard and Joe Dante would never have been given their first chance at making movies. Jack Nicholson, Robert De Niro and William Shatner may never have broken into stardom had Corman not given them roles in his films.
For much of the Us filmmaking establishment, Corman is ‘King of the Bs’ – a director and producer of low-budget trash. But what filmmaker Alex Stapleton’s documentary Corman’s World demonstrates is that, as cheap and swiftly made as Corman’s movies are, they’re varied, imaginative, and contrary to common assumptions,...

Here are a few interesting and/or noteworthy projects that were recently added to IMDbPro's database of development titles:
Untitled Michel Hazanavicius Project – Hot off their Golden Globe win for The Artist, Hollywood's new super couple Michel Hazanavicius and Berenice Bejo aren't staying silent about their next project - a remake of Fred Zinneman's classic The Search. Thomas Langmann produces the updated version, which now centers on an aid worker in Chechnya looking to help a lost boy reunite with his family.
Untitled Todd Haynes Project – Writer-director Todd Haynes is currently writing a serious script about the Midwest's political landscape inspired by Joe Winston's documentary, What's the Matter with Kansas. He's working on it with Mildred Pierce scribe Jon Raymond.
Untitled Explorers Project – The Pirates movies aside, I'm still not totally comfortable with the whole "based on a theme park ride" idea. It's possible The Haunted Mansion had something to do with that, but in addition to Disney developing a Tiki Room movie, the studio is now planning an action flick based on its theme park's Matterhorn roller coaster. Brian Beletic directs the film with a script by Jason Dean Hall.
One Night Stand – Actor Joel Edgerton, whose dabbled with writing and directing a handful of short films, has struck a deal with New Regency Pictures to produce his feature length script based on his own impulsive encounter. He is currently not attached to star.
Arachnaconda – What's in a name? When it comes to the filmmakers of Sharktopus and Dinoshark, coming up with the right mash-up of scary monsters is as crucial as its title. Lou Diamond Phillips stars in and directs the latest project with the LOL-inducing name from Stephen Niver and Robert James Roessel's newly formed company Monster Machine.

If you liked Sharktopus, Dinoshark and Shark Swarm, you’ll be excited to hear that the co-producers of those movies have formed a new production company. Stephen Niver and Robert James Roessel have formed Monster Machine and have already lined up a new slate of films, including Arachnaconda, Grizzligator, Sea Scorpions and Maneater Mountain.
Writers Matthew Chernov and David Rosiak have been hired to work on the scripts for these films and they are expected to be released on video, cable and VOD. Each film will have a budget of between $1-3 million and Arachnaconda is the first project moving forward. The film will be directed by and star Lou Diamond Phillips. Expect more information on these projects in the coming months.

When Sharktopus came out, a local radio station out here in L.A. ran an on-air skit about a bunch of guys making tacky monster movies featuring animal hybrids proving just how ridiculous you can get with these movies.
Monster Machine is making that skit a reality.

Why does anyone love to watch terrible movies? Maybe we’re drawn in by the bad acting or we wonder why someone like David Carradine was in Dinocroc vs. Supergator. It could be because we want to watch an preposterous concept like Sharktopus, and we hope that just this once, it will actually be a masterpiece. For me, I’m always waiting for the creature reveal. When it comes to recent Roger Corman releases, you can bet on a spectacle of the fantastic and absurd.
With nearly 400 titles under his belt as a producer, Roger Corman is the king of B-movies. While Corman’s monster films might not be for everyone, you can’t deny that he has played a significant role in the horror genre. His work in horror spans decades, bringing us classics like Piranha, The Little Shop of Horrors (1965), and The Terror. Of Course, the movies included...

Alex Stapleton is the director of the new documentary “Corman’s World,” which opens in theaters Dec. 16.
I have always been fascinated by Roger Corman. I loved his low budget genre flicks like “Not of This Earth,” “Deathrace 2000″ and “Attack of the Crab Monsters.” Never having the opportunity to go to film school, books, films and DVD extras, and served as my personalized film course. I was recently afforded the opportunity to talk to Alex Stapleton, the director of the wonderful documentary Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel (review here) about the many sides of the “schlock king” Roger Corman. Through a tenuous phone connection (I do have an At&T iPhone and live in New York City, after all), we discussed the process of making this film, how she got roped into doing crew on a Corman movie, Jack Nicholson‘s lounging gear, and doing interviews from the barber’s chair. The Film Stage’s questions are in bold, Alex’s responses follow.
Is there going to be a big premiere out there?
Well we had our kind of fancy premiere at Lacma [Los Angeles County Museum of Art], actually as a part of Film Independent’s series that they were running with Elvis Mitchell. So that was kind of our fancy night. So we will have on the 16th of December,...

Last week I had the pleasure of talking with Actor/Director Joe Lynch. As a fellow fan of B-Movies, it was hard to stray from topics surrounding his great segment in Chillerama, the living B-Movie legend Roger Corman, and how The Blob remake basically changed and shaped his life.
While he’s currently steeped in the B-movie world with Wrong Turn 2 and Chillerama, it’ll be exciting to see how his future projects fare. Knights Of Badassdom was a Comic-Con hit and will be released in 2012, and he’ll be starring in the Fear Net television show Holliston. The most exciting and intriguing tidbit of them all though was his teaser about his upcoming project, Everly. While sounding completely different than his current body of work, somehow it sounds like it makes total sense as a career move.

Though he's most recently responsible for producing SyFy originals like "Dinoshark" and "Dinocroc vs. Supergator," Roger Corman has a legacy that would make most producers in Hollywood jealous. Not only has he produced more than 300 features (almost all of them profitable) but he's launched the careers of dozens of filmmakers and actors including Peter Bogdanovich, Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson, Martin Scorsese, James Cameron, Ron Howard, Joe Dante, John Sayles, Peter Fonda, Pam Grier, Bruce Dern and William Shatner among many others. He's been making movies for over half a century and looks to have no signs of slowing down with 6 projects currently in active development. (Just try scrolling down his IMDb page without getting exhausted.) He received an honorary Oscar earlier this year but outside of film buffs and horror fans (who will probably remember his Vincent Price-led Edgar Allen Poe adaptations), he's not likely to be mentioned in the same.

The master of shlock, Roger Corman, has got his own documentary. After influencing a breadth of filmmakers and actors from Francis Ford Coppola to James Cameron to Martin Scorsese & Robert De Niro (both featured in this trailer), have been heavily influenced by the legend, director Alex Stapleton has set out to provide an account of his life.
While getting his start with films like The Little Shop of Horrors and Joe Dante‘s Piranha, at 85-years-old today, the icon is still producing films with Dinoshark, Dinocroc vs. Supergator and Sharktopus being his latest work. We saw the documentary at New York Film Festival, stating it is “wholeheartedly an appreciation” of the “unfathomable” amount of work the man was behind. Check out the trailer which seems to indicate just as much below via Apple.

Roger Corman is an interesting character. He’s a provocateur, a goof, a “schlockmaster,” a great assembler of talent, an independent film legend, an international film buff, an under-appreciated master of concepts and execution. All of these sides are shown in Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel, director Alex Stapleton‘s new documentary that attempts to reconcile all of these disparate character traits and titles into one cohesive piece. And, happily, he mostly succeeds.
The film is a combination of Hollywood luminaries relating to the audience what makes Corman so unique through talking head interviews mixed with a mostly-chronological telling of his story to inform us of what exactly we should be admiring about him. The crux of the story seems to be that he is under-appreciated not only amongst the film elite but also from an entire new generation of film fans that grew up without drive-thrus or grindhouses (alas,...

Eric Balfour Eric Balfour caught his first big break with Six Feet Under, but it was his work in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake that made horror and sci-fi fans take note of the actor. Even though his character was one of the first to die, he showed considerable screen presence, charisma and charm in a limited amount of screen time. He followed that with roles in such efforts as Dinoshark and Skyline. A role in Lie with Me stirred up plenty of controversy with its explicit sexual nature, but it established him as an international sex symbol (something that he says surprises him). Enter the Syfy channel's Haven, based on the Stephen King novel The Colorado Kid. Haven gave Eric Balfour fans the best of both worlds as it allowed the actor to continue working on horror and sci-fi projects, but it also showed off the considerable sexual energy that the actor radiates.

Spores Monster movies have been making a comeback, due in part to maverick producer Roger Corman (Piranha), who has brought monsters to the mainstream with a series of cheesy, but fun horror films such as Dinoshark starring Eric Balfour, Sharktopus starring Eric Roberts, or the upcoming Dinocroc vs. Supergator featuring David Carradine. Now the Russian film market is jumping in on the action with Spores. Spores looks like it is the type of film that delivers that sense of cheesy fun just like all those other monster movies that Corman produced only with an attractive cast of teen actors at the fore front of the action. So take a peek at the film's trailer, seen below after the jump.
Raven Banner Entertainment is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of independent Russian filmmaker, Maksim Dyachuk, sci-fi creature feature Spores. Inspired by Gareth Edwards’ critically acclaimed, self made feature film “Monsters...

What's more awesome than a giant dinosaur or a super-sized alligator terrorizing innocent bystanders? Genetically engineered monsters comprised of the spliced DNA of both animals terrorizing each other, obviously.
Thankfully, Roger Corman and Anchor Bay Entertainment have us covered. Last summer's hit Syfy movie, 'Dinocroc vs. Supergator,' is coming out on DVD and Blu-ray July 12, and in honor of the cinematic masterpiece (not sarcasm, by the way), AOL TV and Anchor Bay Entertainment have three copies of the Blu-ray of the film, plus three copies each of Corman's 'Sharktopus' and 'Dinoshark,' to give away to three lucky readers.

The tag-line on the cover of the blu-ray for the latest Roger Corman produce SyFy Chanel sanctioned crap-fest Dinoshark, states: “Fear What’s Just Below the Surface”. This could be clever if something actually were below the surface, and I don’t just mean the physical ground/water that is obviously being reference here. No, I speak of the surface of the film itself which, as it is, is barely stable let alone in any position to claim that there is anything under it. In other words, Dinoshark is filled with false promises. I mean, the title alone implies a creature of epic proportions of which a modest SyFy Chanel budget clearly cannot achieve. But that ends up being the least of the film’s problems.
To even attempt to describe this films plot seems futile as it does not really exist. The title basically says it all in one word.

Roger Corman was in St. Louis last weekend as Guest of Honor at Vincentennial, the Vincent Price 100th Birthday Celebration here in St. Louis, the city of his birth. Corman had directed Price in the series of Edgar Allan Poe adaptions in the 1960′s and was our first choice as a special guest for the event. Last Saturday, May 21st, we screened a 35mm print of Tomb Of Ligeia (1965) at the spacious Hi-Pointe Theater preceded by an on-stage interview with Corman moderated by Tim Lucas, editor of Video Watchdog magazine. This discussion centered on Corman’s collaborations and friendship with Vincent Price. On Sunday May 22nd, we brought Corman back for a second interview, this time discussing his overall career as a director and producer of over 500 films. Corman spoke candidly about his start in show biz and the rigors of ultra-low budget filmmaking.

A one-man movie factory, Roger Corman is now the subject of a film himself. The 'pope of popular cinema' speaks to Xan Brooks in Cannes
Down at the Cannes Marché du Film, the stalls sell monster flicks and "erotical thrillers", gun-toting revenge dramas and a film about a band of kung-fu ninja girls who join a beach volleyball team ("very romantic," insists the sales agent). It is a jumbled, lively place, teeming with circus barkers and recalling a bygone B-movie heyday when you could escort Betty-Sue to the drive-in, watch some screaming teenagers being chomped by a radioactive crustacean and still have change from a dollar. If Roger Corman walked in now, they'd probably hail him as a god.
Instead, I find Corman a little further up the prom, resting his bones in a hotel salon. He explains was up until 3am the night before, attending a reception on Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's yacht,...

Durham, N.C. - During lunch a filmmaker tells me that of all the festivals he’s attended with his movies, the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival is the only one he wants to attend as a spectator. He enjoys how the various screens and activities aren’t spread all over the city. There’s a relaxed atmosphere as the festival-goers aren’t hustling hard to get tickets to sold out screenings. It’s a sweet Southern festival in the middle of Tobacco Road. Even the world’s biggest superstar just hangs out with the festival goers inside of hiding behind a wall of security.
Who is the superstar? Elmo! And we have an exclusive chat with him at the end of this column.

You loved him in Skyline. You were astounded when he faced off (in mid-air!) against Dinoshark on a jet-ski. And who can forget him as Comanche in Hell Ride, and as the dude whose face becomes the new mask for Leatherface in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake? Now, Eric Balfour is stepping behind the camera for his feature-film directorial debut: Jesus Hates Zombies, for which a teaser poster has also emerged.

Dinoshark
Stars: Eric Balfour, Iva Hasperger, Aaron Diaz | Written by Frances Doel, Guy Prevost | Directed by Kevin O’Neill
Recently (very recently!), I reviewed The Devil’s Tomb. I didn’t like it. My main criticism was that it took its stupid concept seriously, without humour or irony and I concluded that it wasn’t even worthy of being deemed ‘so bad, it’s good’. I watched The Devil’s Tomb immediately before I watched Dinoshark – now this is how to do a bad film well. Dinoshark is an unaccountably terrible film. But it knows this and is utterly hilarious.
The film begins with a chunk dropping off an ice shelf, from which several tadpole-like things emerge. Cut to three years later and behold! The Dinoshark! (Which, if you hadn’t guessed, is essentially a big shark with a tyrannosaurus Rex’s head.) The abominable being swims to Mexico to...

Civilisation
Blu-ray, 2 Entertain
Out on 9 May
Historian Kenneth Clark introduces this landmark documentary series with a quote from John Ruskin about how the key to understanding a great nation is to look at their deeds, words and art, the last being "the only trustworthy one".
So begins an epic voyage around the historical culture of western civilisation, taking in the greats such as Da Vinci, Mozart, Dante, Shakespeare, etc, working backwards from their art to discover how it was formed by their lives. Overseen by David Attenborough (when he was head of BBC2) and still as bright and informative as it was when first transmitted in 1969, Civilisation has yet to be bettered. Shot on film (the remastered Blu-ray looks stunning) and in colour (when most TV sets were still black and white), it's a precursor to many of the great shows from the golden era of factual TV such as Life On Earth,...

Dinoshark
If you can mix it with a shark, Roger Corman will fund it. Here, in Dinoshark, it’s a prehistoric beast with the maw of a T-Rex and the body of a shark. I’m sad to report that Dinoshark is not the star of his own movie, but Eric Balfour is. To use fishing terminology, this is a bait-and-switch, because, when I want to see some awesome prehistoric shark action, what I don’t want to see is Eric Balfour as a shadow of a shadow of a shadow of Roy Schieder’s character from Jaws.

The inherent...

Why does it feel like this review should be written in capital letters? Perhaps this is just the influence of the DVD tagline, which screams at high volume: Frozen For 150 Million Years… Now He’S Hungry! Following closely on the heels/fins/tentacles of recent schlock cult hit “Sharktopus” is “Dinoshark”, which basically sees legendary B-movie mogul Roger Corman serving up more of the same, with yet another beach resort being terrorised by an unlikely though hungry aquatic fiend. The film certainly has a suitable helmer in Kevin O’Neill, a man who previously swam similar waters with “Dinocroc”, as well as working on visual effects for the likes of the “Piranha” remake and the “Feast” series. Somewhat unusually for this kind of direct to DVD, made for cable foolishness, the film actually has a pretty decent cast, with a handful of semi-recognisable faces, including headline stars Eric Balfour (“Skyline...

Why isn’t my immediate reaction to hate this? Maybe because I’m cool with some Syfy Channel monster-mergers or maybe my senses have been beaten down? Or maybe secretly, I too am bored on a Saturday night and Roger Corman is still fine filler? D) All of the above. (Formats: Blu-ray/DVD) Jon says: Rent Donny says: Rent
Marvel’s The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (Volume 1 and 2 of Season 1)
The show debuted on Disney Xd last fall, but I have never gotten to them. Something tells me each episode...

Syfy and Korean monsters, machine-gun-toting Japanese schoolgirls, and some re-releases are the topics of this week's horror titles.
While Dinoshark (directed by Kevin O'Neill and starring Eric Balfour, Iva Hasperger, Aaron Diaz, Humberto Busto, Roger Corman) and Mongolian Death Worm (directed by Steven R. Monroe and starring Sean Patrick Flanery, Victoria Pratt) were on cable TV only recently, they're already here on home video. On top of that Chawz, the "Jaws with a wild boar" offering from Korea, and the hilariously unbelievable Machine Girl are vying for your purse strings all way from the Far East.
For the classically inclined, re-releases of Roger Corman's The Terror with a young Jack Nicholson, The Dorm That Dripped Blood, El Topo, as well as Francis Ford Coppola's Dementia 13 will keep you company this week.

- Destroy the Brain
Dinoshark is the latest creature feature to be unleashed on DVD and Blu-ray via Anchor Bay. The Roger Corman and Linda Corman produced Syfy hit puts on a good show for any fan of this type of film.
Eric Balour plays our hero Trace McGraw (no relation to Tim) in the movie and pulls off a good ob since I’ve seen him on both sides of the acting fence, good guy and bad guy. His acting is just a little dry but is still believable. He is partnered up with the good looking Carol played by Iva Hasperger who obviously is “the brains” of the operation to capture the loose creature Dinoshark. They end up fighting more with the local police than the big fish itself but end the end they get it on with Dinoshark but I’m not telling you who wins, it’s a bloody mess!
