Fun episode an at the same time just as intense.

It was great having Matt Ryan back! He's one amazing actor because I saw nothing of John Constantine in his new character. Great that the show runners decided to keep him around even though his old character is not available anymore. Beautiful moments between Ava and Sara. And I'm enjoying the friendship of Astra, Spooner and Gideon best relationship on the show.

Season 7 Is Starting Off Strong
TheReaper67511 November 2021
Wow, after a mediocre season 6, Legends really managed to turn their writing around and make an incredible S7 so far. All the episodes have been incredibly fun and entertaining, and this episode (E5) is no exception. Gwyn Davies marks Matt Ryan's first return this season, and he delivered well, as Gwyn is a good character and I wonder where he'll go. I loved Sara's relationship with Ava, as she jumped in front of the shotgun blast to save her, and became so distraught after she disappeared. I'm really interested in Nate & Zaris relationship as well, as I'm a big fan of them. Gary is such a "comic-relief" and he's so entertaining as well. Spooner & Astra were also amazing, I really like their friendship with each other as well as with Gideon, who I still really like even in her human form.

So far, I've given good reasons for this episode, and you may be wondering why it's not a "10". Well it's mainly due to Bishop being the main villain again, because he made S6 unenjoyable at times. It's a nit-pick but I really dislike him. However, other than him, this episode was phenomenal! I haven't enjoyed a season of legends this much since S2/3!

Get Lucky.

Warning: Spoilers
The Bullet Blondes has arrived in New York City. They are then attacked by an old man firing his weapon at Ava's upper thigh which suddenly heals. The Legends relocate the mansion to find Dr. Davies to time travel out of 1925. The Bullet Blondes come across our beloved actor playing as Constantine, but playing as Dr. Davies. He is in a hurry to discuss big plans with Edison. Ava picks up a file of the concept design of the time travel machine.

Meanwhile. Gideon, Astra, and Spooner are hitchhiking in a big cornfield. They come across a car, giving a thumbs up. But the driver didn't care less. Then they come across another car, and this work they are picked up. The Legends are still planning on the mission. I have to say is that I love Ava's new haircut. Ava sneaks into Dr. Davies' laboratory coming across his time travel machine, but it's missing one important part that it needs.

Meanwhile. The car has come across a problem that requires a mechanic to fix it, but again another car arrives. A man steps out to introduce himself to the ladies to find the fastest route to Cleveland. The three hop on the far in agreement. Ava encounters Davies again ordering files from Edison. Gary finally finds the missing part and remarks that he is the world's greatest scavenger hunter. Oh, yes you are! Zari hijacks into Robot Hoover's to-do list reading that Step 4 is to eliminate the Legends. Gary comes across the famous Thomas Edison. What a nice interaction here. Gary tries to fool Edison, but he isn't dumb enough, so he calls security and terminates Davies to a location. I must say that I feel bad for the poor man as he worked hard on this. Meanwhile, the guy is stopped by an officer asking for a license. Astra convinces him that he is going to a historic car race that worked on the Officer. Behrad presents the world's very first time machine- oh- most of the members are disappointed due to many footprints. Now it's up to Sara and Behrad.

Sara arrives at a mental institution rescuing Davies, but he refuses to go with her and calls a Guard, but Sara quickly pulls out a small knife up to his throat to not to. I do like how they gave so much character to Davies that makes him feel human with anxiety attacks. Sara tells the truth to him about the meaning of all this that well convinces Davies to help her. "I don't know Zari, but he's giving me 'Terminator' vibes." LOL. Hoover, Zari, and Nate have a discussion with Edison about stuff. Sadly, the plan is all ruined as they watch Hoover having a system failure. That causes him to have a heart attack resulting dead. Sara and Davies make a run for it resulting in a dead-end. Davies uses a plan convincing the nurses that he's about to slash Sara's throat which eventually works. HOLD UP- So, Edison wasn't Edison, but a robot. Wow.

Meanwhile, the car that the guy was riding on gets stolen. The guy escapes using a bike abandoning Astra and Spooner. Sara brings Davies to assemble the final piece of the puzzle powering up the machine bringing back Ava and Gary. AHAHA, Gary joins in the hug with Sara and Ava. Astra and Spooner run to the city as Gideon bashes the lucky rock on the guy. Davies pushes the lever as Astra uses her magic spell that is supposed to make the city have a blackout. Gideon runs for her life to stop the machine. Astra and Spooner finally reunite with the Legends. Zari receives the chip from Hoover-Bot giving it to Davies to put it in the machine. AND WE FINALLY MADE IT TO 2021! (( nope. ))

Thoughts?

I am so p1ssed that I'm so behind, and the last time I said something like: "I need to catch up." Then boom, a few weeks later; I haven't caught up. This time, I do hope that I will catch up as I have been spoiled by the event of Armageddon.

So yes, it's a fun entertaining episode that has high suspense, intense moments, a great performance was given by Matt Ryan as a guest member, unexpecting twists, the team dynamic is always amazing, wonderful pacing, and an easy-to-follow entertaining plot. I love the fourth wall break jokes whenever one of the Legends recognizes Davies as someone else in the team, but incorrectly guessing.

9/10.

I really love that storyline. Too bad this is the last season

Warning: Spoilers
Nice jokes, great development of characters, and I'm really surprised to see new character played by Matt Ryan. He is really different.

This episode is also intense, you sit and wait, and in the end it's so much dynamic and suspense.

Also, there is a good development of relationships between Nate and Zari.

Can't believe that in a 2 episodes there will be one big final goodbye.

Period superhero drama

Warning: Spoilers
Why's this show getting boring? Why did they have to get stuck? Plus they already told everyone who the villain is and and why the other Waverider is. Spoilers! It's the same as last season and the other Waverider is on autopilot trying to get rid of things causing problems in the timeline and anyone who has seen the earlier seasons know this. You see it even in this episode. No, Mr. Hipster Villain didn't order the ship to kill The Legends. The ship is on autopilot trying to erase problems and who causes problems. Yeah, anyone with past knowledge of the show knows this.

Historical facts

Set in 1925, they shoe an electric pylon in this episode but first ever one wasn't installed until 1928 in Scotland. Seriously this show gets so many historic facts wrong.
