Akshay Kumar's Copy-Paste Of Ratsasan Sparks Lower Magic & Less Thrills.
SAMTHEBESTEST2 September 2022
Cuttputlli (2022) : Movie Review -

Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet star in the Hindi remake of Ram Kumar's Tamil thriller, titled "Cuttputlli". Except for the rhyming metaphorical title, the Hindi remake of Ratsasan has nothing better than the original, nor does it try anything different. Ratsasan has a few low-grade scenes due to budget issues, or maybe it's natural or common for Kollywood films. However, the amount of thrill and suspense is more than any other modern Tamil flick. That indeed works - for Tamil audiences, of course, if not wider. The Hindi dubbed version of Ratsasan has been watched by more than 40 million people on YouTube, and by almost double that number of people through torrents, telegram, and other movie download sites. The viewership amounts to more than the number of people who saw KGF Chapter 1 and KGF Chapter 2 in cinema halls. So the basic question is, was this remake really needed? The audience for the thriller genre is always low, and then there is an OTT release which hardly has clarity in viewership. Who's gonna watch it? Those who haven't seen Ratsasan, right? How many are left, by the way? Anyway, let me clear it for you that Cuttputlli sparks lower than Ratsasan's magical, thrilling show. Does that excite you? The choice is completely yours.

Cuttputlli is about aspirant film writer and director Arjan Sethi (Akshay Kumar), who joins the police force after a string of failed filmmaking attempts. As soon as he joins the Kasauli Police Station, a serial killer goes berserk in the town, kidnapping and killing teenage girls brutally. Arjan's senior officer, Sho Parmar (Sargun Mehta), treats his filmy brain low at first, but then realises the mistake after one more brutal murder. Arjan falls in love with a schoolteacher, Divya (Rakul Preet), and continues his search for the mastermind killer. Will he be able to save the other girls? Will his smartness be enough to beat the mastermind? Find out all the answers in Cuttputlli, in case you didn't read the answer sheet already in Ratsasan.

Ram Kumar's script is loop-free, be it Ratsasan or Cuttputlli. You can't guess the killer even with that storming brain that has seen more than a hundred classic thrillers. I guess that's the fun here. But can I say the same for the screenplay? The answer is a clear No. What goes wrong is flawless momentum. In the beginning, you waste more than 15 minutes building things up. Then you have a love story running in the thriller (as if that's mandatory for every Indian film), just to link up the characters later. The idea is brilliant, but the backdrop isn't. Nonetheless, this psycho thriller thing has to have some nonsense to keep the dramatic elements alive. Cuttputlli cuts many useless scenes from Ratsasan and gives it a good trim. But it fails to add something of its own. It's just a frame-to-frame copy, with no soul and body of its own. Aseem Arora's screenplay has a few glitches, but overall it's a decent remodelling of Ratsasan.

Akshay Kumar as Arjan Sethi is neither impressive nor dull. There was nothing different to do from what Vishnu Vishal did, and therefore the comparison makes it look dim. Of course, whoever is the first always goes away with more praise, and that's what has happened with Cuttputlli too. Rakul Preet looks gorgeous in every single frame, and the cinematographer has made her look even more beautiful with close-up frames. To be frank, performance wise, there was no scope. Suzane George did look devious in Ratsasan as she had such a face and body, but here Sargun Mehta looks too gorgeous to be devious. Chandrachur Singh, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Gurpreet Ghuggi, and the child artists are decent to good in their supporting roles.

Cuttputlli looks like a very low-budget film on screen. The screen filters are bad. Even the prosthetics are visible, from eye brows to powder to every cosmetic. Didn't the editor see it? What was Ranjit Tewari doing in front of the monitor anyway? Julius Packiam's background score with no words and dance is better than Tanishk Bagchi and Dr Zeus's boring songs with lyrics and dance. Cuttputlli is badly edited and shot, just like any low budget thriller from a substandard industry. If they trimmed so many scenes from Ratsasan, why didn't they trim songs? Wasn't it a good chance to show your cinematic intelligence? Cuttputlli sounds better than Ratsasan's Hindi dubbing just because it was the original language, but Hindi-dubbed viewers won't understand this. Those who watch films in the original language with subtitles will understand the difference here. So the question remains, is Cuttputlli better than Ratsasan? Hell No! Is it as good as the original one? The answer is a clear No. Does Cuttputlli offer anything new from the original? The answer is No. Can it be watched? The answer is, it depends. Those who have seen Ratsasan should skip it for good, and those who haven't, can watch it - only to acknowledge why the original was a 'magical show'.

RATING - 5/10*

Akshay Kumar Tried it's Best. But, it's Below Par As Compared to Ratsasan !!!
cs_rahul_prasad2 September 2022
Cuttputlli is the official remake of the Tamil film, Ratsasan (2018). The story is intriguing and has all the trappings of a thriller. Aseem Arrora and Tushar Trivedi's screenplay is gripping for most part. The writers have peppered the script with some fine thrilling and even light-hearted moments. Aseem Arrora's dialogues are conversational and have several humorous scenes.

It is the story of a cop trying to catch a serial killer. Arjan Sethi (Akshay Kumar), has passionately researched about serial killers and he wants to make a film on this topic. He approaches several Punjabi filmmakers in Chandigarh. However, all of them decline his idea and instead, advise him to make a comedy. He then goes to Kasuali to meet his sister Seema (Hrishitaa Bhatt), brother-in-law Narinder Singh (Chandrachur Singh) and niece Payal (Renaye Tejani) on Raksha Bandhan. Narinder is a cop and he insists that Arjan should give up his filmmaking dreams and join the police force.

Later on he becomes a Sub-Inspector and joins a police station where the SHO is Gudiya Parmar (Sargun Mehta). A few days later, the cops get the information that a schoolgirl named Amrita Rana (Saina Anarose) has gone missing. She was presumably abducted from outside her house. The killer leaves behind a gift box which has the mutilated head of a doll. Arjan realizes that the way the doll's head is mutilated is very similar to how the face of a girl named Samiksha Bharti was mutilated. This girl was found murdered in Parwanoo and Arjan had gathered information about her out of habit. He tells SHO Parmar that the Parwanoo schoolgirl killer has kidnapped Amrita. Parmar dismisses his theory.

Ranjit M Tewari's direction is fair, at least till the pre-climax. He manages to captivate the audience with his execution. The manner in which Arjan tries to get close to the killer and the investigation process make for a great watch. A few scenes stand out like Divya's entry, SHO Parmar admonishing Arjan, and Arjan nabbing Purshottam Tomar. The scene where Payal goes missing is chilling and the same goes for the scene where Arjan opens the trunk of his car. The sequence where Arjan, Parmar, and others follow Ayesha Khan (Divvya Wadhwa) to catch the killer red-handed is quite nail-biting. Sadly, from here on, the film falls.

The revelation of the killer doesn't come as a surprise, unlike in the original film. Also, in the original film, the backstory of the murder was established and the cat-and-mouth chase between the cop and the villain went on for sometime, which added to the fear factor. Here, the finale is very hurried. The way the killer's flashback is executed is very childish. The other major problem is that in many scenes, the United Kingdom has been passed on as Himachal Pradesh, and it doesn't work. Thanks to the different topography and architecture of the buildings, one can easily make out the difference.

Speaking of performances, Akshay Kumar tries its best and plays his part quite well. He shines in a few scenes like the scene where he has an outburst and where he catches the Maths teacher red-handed. Rakul Preet Singh looks stunning and is fine. Sadly, her character doesn't have much to do. Sargun Mehta puts up a confident act. Chandrachur Singh leaves a mark but disappears after a point. The same goes for Hrishitaa Bhatt. Renaye Tejani, Seher Bhowmik (Iti; Divya's niece) and Divvya Wadhwa are fair. Sujith Shanker plays the part with aplomb. Joshua Leclair (Christopher), Suhani Dhanki (RJ Roshni), Saina Anarose and Laaibah Ali are passable.

There is only one song in the film, "Saathiya", and it's forgettable. Julius Packiam's background score is very bad. Rajeev Ravi's cinematography is breathtaking and captures the locales of the UK and Himachal Pradesh beautifully. Amit Ray and Subrata Chakraborty's production design is rich. Rushi Sharma and Manoshi Nath's costumes are appealing, especially the ones worn by Rakul. Parvez Shaikh's action is realistic. Famulus Media and Entertainment, Number9 VFX, Aisolve and Redefine's VFX is appropriate. Chandan Arora's editing is too quick in the last act.

Overall, Cuttputlli is a decent watch except the final act, all thanks to Akshay Kumar and his performance.

A One Time Watch
sharmarakshit-098932 September 2022
Before starting, I would like to clarify that I haven't watched Ratsasan yet so I'm judging this as a stand-alone film and not as a remake.

Now, coming to the film, my expectations weren't too high from Akshay Kumar's 4th release of the year since all the other 3 have been absolute duds. Surprisingly though, the film did manage to keep me hooked. The storyline is engaging, the performances are good, Akshay Kumar doesn't deliver anything special but he does a good enough job, the same can be said for the rest of the cast, decent, but not pathbreaking.

The screenplay is a bit too fast at first but settles down after the first few minutes until Akshay Kumar & Rakul Preet Singh break into a horribly tragic song called 'Saathiya' that has no place in a film like this. It made me wonder why on earth was it even made? Specially when they were gonna release it on hotstar? Like, just let us stay invested in the case no?

Putting that aside, the film is gripping and had me curious to know who the killer actually was and for a suspense thriller, I think that's good enough.

I have just two complaints though, 1) the BGM. It didn't have any impact at all, average at best which kinda hinders the film & 2) A RUSHED CLIMAX (which has been a feature of recent AK films tbh), would've loved to see a more detailed origin of the killer, it seemed odd to just end the film like that after so much of building up. A lukewarm ending I must say but an above average film nonetheless.

Last Word : Cuttputli is a one time watch for those who haven't watched Ratsasan. It's nothing special but it's a fairly decent watch for the weekend.

Better than average Nothing special about it
faltuwalemails2 September 2022
Yes as everyone has heard its an exact copy of Ratsasan. So for those who already have watched the southindian movie on youtube save your time. Though you can watch it as the dubbing was poor on youtube. Acting wise this everybody fails to leave a mark. Akshay to akshay hai.. emotional scenes me bhai lagta hai he is gonna gilggle now. One more thing is the runtime of the movie, could have been atleast 20 minutes shorter. Song was NEEDLESS. They fail to capture the beauty of mountains.. sigh! And its about time akshay considers doing roles his age. We can clearly see the greys in almost every scene. Wrinkles can be seen even after buffering.

A miserable remake that doesn't even have the decency to complete the story
tkmce20082 September 2022
Simple fact - don't remake a thriller/whodunnit! Especially of widely acclaimed movies like Ratsasan. Two months ago, we had a similar situation with the Rajkummar Rao starrer HIT. Cuttputtli follows the same pattern by adopting the original scene by scene with no ingenuity whatsoever (except the massive cut).

Ratsasan's plot shifts to the scenic Himachal, where newly inducted SI Arjan (Akshay) has to hunt down a serial killer, who is targeting teenage girls.

The biggest issue with Cuttputtli is the timing. Dumped on OTT, just two weeks after Akshay Kumar's last release seems to convey how the expectations from the actor has dropped. The other one is obviously the rushed climax that destroys the movie. The antagonist is reduced to a two-dimensional (rather one) caricature of a character. The backstory is reduced to a 10 second montage (pathetic!).

Akshay Kumar doesn't seem like the right guy for this role. This could have done by a newcomer instead. At least it would have given them a good launchpad. The other actors don't matter here because they don't have to do much. Chandrachur SIngh's presence is welcoming though. His renaissance has been one of the better ones the industry has seen.

Cuttputtli is a miserable attempt at remaking a film. Akshay Kumar's choices are akin to those of Mohanlal or maybe he just has a lot of free time on his hands to do five films a year. Whatever it is, I have almost lost faith.

It is "The Black Phone" from Bollywood tilted more towards reality
ReelShahid3 September 2022
It's sheer bad luck for Akshay Kumar that they choose classic like this for straight away OTT release. For a fan of thriller movies the plot may seem predictable, but then it is the authenticity in the narrative of the sequential events that will keep your interest in this movie alive till the very end.

Usually Bollywood thriller's are more focused on a happier than the real life narrative and a saviour supercop but the simplicity of all the lead characters in this classic makes it more relatable and hence a memorable experience.

It was also good to see Chandrachur Singh back on the screen after such a long time and he manages to display his now polished acting skill in a limited role.

Considering the plot, Rakul Preet aptly justifies her screen time.

Cuttputtli (puppet) is a fine piece of work that is being shrugged of by few due to comparison with other relatable stuffs.

Akshay Kumar plays Akshay kumar in every movie.
arrf-321732 September 2022
If you don't know, the movie is a remake from Tamil movie.

That being said I don't mind remakes but rather how it's made, the movie feels like a rushed product. The dialogues are lame and doesn't help in setting the serious tone of the movie. At this point writers and directors have assumed that there is a suspension of disbelief by default for every movie watcher and that's just insulting to us as viewers.

The acting is subpar for all the actors, as the title suggests Akshay Kumar is just doing the bare minimum at this point, he is too big of an actor atleast in his mind that he doesn't even bother to understand the character which he is playing, just doing same old stuff which he has done in past movies. Story is good but you cannot give credit to makers since it's a remake so overall the movie is a dud.

Welcome
nurjamanmia2 September 2022
Wow, that was quite the film. I held my breath the entire 170 minutes... Despite my dying battery, I couldn't tear myself away from the screen. Seriously, man, Cuttputlli is incredible. The film is fantastic, and I enjoyed every minute of watching it. I highly suggest everyone watch this thrilling film. While I recognise that not everyone may agree with me, I believe that a film's success is directly tied to the quality of the score, and I'd want to thank the composers and the entire sound design team for their efforts. Like you, I thought the images were fantastic, and I especially appreciated how the film made use of surprise elements to heighten the tension. Ranjit Tiwari, the film's director, does an outstanding job. Simply put, I adore this tale.

Imperfect with disappointment
sanskartamrakar-3878431 October 2022
I didn't watched other movies following same story . I directly came to watch this version of Akshay Kumar. After hearing lots of dialogue are copied as film my respect is gone for this movie.

Now talking about movie, young school girls are getting killed one by one and a newbie cop who wanted to be a crime thriller movie director finds a pattern in killing. Story is only main factor of this movie and nothing else add anything. You can't find anything interesting other than just story making progress for finding criminal, love story of cop and songs ruined this parts also. Last fight between killer and cop is also kind of lame.

Why such need of love story angle in ongoing murder? Its is the biggest question should be asked from bollywood movies makers.

Good that it was released on OTT
opotraining2 September 2022
Another lame so called thriller with no thrill at all. There was hardly any story. Its so boring that you can directly watch the last 15 mins to find the culprit. The director just focused on AK throughout the movie with little preference to other characters. As usual Akshay Kumar is the Good Cop(this time without muscle power) and is stuck with Bad cops. He is ideal police who doesnt hit the people and help them on the way whenever he can. A sadistic serial killer without any motive.

The movie would have been a disaster if released on theatre. And again unnecessary love songs are added in between.

Ending was not complete
akhilsyngal11 September 2022
It's surprisingly something new which is offered to us & I must admit this movie is definitely a worth a watch . Surprisingly this time around Akshay Kumar did a fantastic job with his role . The film keeps you engaged till the end with some thrills but the ending was not complete because as a viewer you felt that this movie has suddenly ended .

Yes there was some unnecessary romance in this film which could have been avoided as it didn't add anything to the story but if you exclude that then it's a must watch for thrill lovers. It's good to see that being a lover of Bollywood film we are getting to see such content .

Its a giant crater of plotholes. Reham karo bollywood.
rahul4122 September 2022
Movie is pretty boring, don't understand why in bollywood movies only lead star is portrayed as intelligent and all other police force as dumb and their sole purpose of their existing is to oppose the lead star even if they sound stupid while doing so. Script is pretty juvenile and loose and makers of this movie should watch Netflix series delhi crime to understand how to present a police story. All in all a time waste am sure the original South Indian movie would be much better. On top of it movie even has a love song which is totally out of place and pls remind me what is Rakulpreets role in the movie? Oh yes our hero needed a heroine so she had to be adjusted in script. Bollywood tumse na ho payega.. Pls rehne do.. Reham karo janta pe.

Fails To Pull The Right Strings
Zeus-pro2 September 2022
This is a text book example on how to mess a classic film like "Ratsasan". Akshay Kumar's character lacks the timidness that was displayed by Vishnu Vishal's (Arun Kumar). His emotional scenes too, come across as feeble. Rakul Preet Singh is a pretty sight on screen as Arjan's ladylove. However, there isn't much for her to explore in her latest role. After Sushmita Sen's Aarya, Chandrachur Singh makes another on-screen appearance in Cuttputlli which is effective in parts and pieces.

THE VERDICT : The film "Cuttputlli" too had the potential to be a thrilling watch. Instead, Ranjit M Tewari & Co, deliver a gift box which contains a bland remake that barely sends a shiver down the spine.

All Good but the Climax
mdjahidhasan-437732 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is Wonderful.... Especially the work of Akshay Kumar 🔥 He just nailed the character 🖤 Akshay Kumar looked so good in this movie.... His makeup was very good... He looked very young, very much more energetic.... I can say that our Old AKSHAY KUMAR is back!!

Now get back to movie.... Though I watched "Rathsasan".... I still felt connected with this film... Though I knew the whole story... Still I couldn't stop wondering that what'll happen next... I felt this one very refreshing instead "Rathsasan"... Kasauli looked perfect for the movie... I just got disappointed in the climax... I must say the climax was better in "Rathsasan"... They should worked harder in the climax... Climax looked so poor.... It could be more brutal, more suspicious, much more exciting....!

If they could do better the climax... I would say that this was an MASTERPIECE!!

Shameful copy paste
pjmanya7 September 2022
This is a remake of Tamil thriller " Ratsasan".

Excellent example of destroying a masterpiece. I was expecting some changes atleast for entertainment but this is even worse.

I don't understand what happened to Bollywood. They are stealing stories of other movies, and not even stealing ideas they are just copy pasting from other movies, not putting 1% of effort.

My suggestion is to boycott such remakes and watch original movie. It's available on you tube (free) with very good Hindi dubbing. Bollywood is only making remakes and earning more than orignal movies. So guys go for original talent.

I would have given zero rating if that was possible.

Well made remake !
ashish-cooltech4 September 2022
Its a well made remake of Tamil thriller Ratsasan which was released in 2018. Screenplay is fast paced which keeps you gripped. The amount of disturbing images shown on screen is a bit new by the standard of Bollywood movies, who always try to mellow it down for a family audience. One thing better in this movie from the original is that they were able fit almost same content in 2 hours; which the original did in 3 hours. Akshay Kumar's acting stands out and supporting cast has done a good job as well. Despite good execution, since this was very closely copied movie, rating of 6 is the most I would give.

Third-class "third remake" of tamil masterpiece suspense-thriller Ratsasan(2018).
Vivekmaru454 September 2022
Firstly the word Ratsasan means demon. Rakshasudu(2019) is the official Telegu second remake of Ratsasan. The word Rakshasudu also means demon. Rakshasa, Sanskrit (male) Raksasa, or (female) Raksasi, in Hindu mythology, a type of demon or goblin. Rakshasas have the power to change their shape at will and appear as animals, as monsters, or in the case of the female demons, as beautiful women.

Cuttputlli, also kathputli means puppet. There is no such word as "cuttputlli". I think the word means a puppet with cuts all over its body.

All three movies, Ratsasan, Rakshasudu and finally Cuttputlli center around a serial killer that targets young teenage girls. Thrust into the mystery is a new recruit to the police who is also an aspiring filmmaker that wants to make a movie based on a serial killer. He had also written a script and submitted it, however it was rejected. Failing to do this he takes the role of a sub-inspector with the help of his brother-in-law in order to earn a living.

He soon becomes embroiled in the murder mystery surrounding the discovered bodies of the missing teenage girls due to his imaginative mind.

The original Ratsasan was very suspenseful. The subsequent remakes are watered-down versions that will not appeal to fans of the original 2018 movie.

I found the acting mediocre and even the star-power of Akshay Kumar fails to save this film. Pointless and I don't recommend this if you've seen Ratsasan it is an unnecessary remake and just a waste of money and time.

You should also see: Article 15(2019), Netrikann (2021), Cadaver(2022).

Fantastic thriller story
divyanshsharma-722279 September 2022
This one is for you if you enjoy murder mystery thrillers. Arjan, a would-be filmmaker, is the protagonist of the story. Due to family obligations, he had to give up his goal and become a police officer. The major plot of the movie is how he solves the case of the crazy killer after receiving it. You won't want to stop the movie in the middle since the screenplay is so compelling. You will undoubtedly get chills listening to the background music. All of the actors, especially Akshay Kumar as Arjan, have proven themselves in their roles. It's challenging for a thriller film to keep audiences glued to the screen for an extended period of time. Excellent thriller film.

Mediocre...
sudhirshah-369203 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I would like to know, which progeria patient live so long that comes even after 12 years and does martial art so well (some shots even better than Akshay Kumar 😄...) Also didn't reveal how the killer used to drop the dead bodies so secretly and that too in public that he never got caught???

Even once in to victim's father's car trunk???

Another laughable point... how Himachal police used to own expensive cars like Kia Sportage (not even launched in India), Jeep Cherokee, Mitsubishi Pajero etc. Were they run by private companies like adani???

If producer had extra budget he should spend on marketing & not do such silly mistakes.

Only Akshay kumar is the Center of attraction... 6 stars for Akki only...

Psychopath on the prowl, some thrills, a few chills
madanmarwah7 September 2022
I have stated earlier that the test of a good movie is if it keeps you riveted to the screen and has a universal appeal (not just to a particular section of the audience). Using this yardstick, this movie passes the test as it definitely keeps the audience glued to the proceedings unfolding on the screen. Basically a psychological thriller about a serial killer on the loose targeting teenaged girls, torturing and murdering them. It is supposed to be based on a Tamil film which I have not seen. As such my review is unbiased. Like in all cases of remakes the original may have been better movie . Anyway the plot is that Akshay Kumar a crime story writer with dreams of getting a movie made, joins the police force with guidance from his sister's husband, a police officer ( Chandrachur Singh). Very soon he gets involved in investigating a case where a serial killer is kidnapping and killing teenaged school girls. The strong point of the movie is the taut presentation of the plot, the suspense is maintained continuously and the scenes are thrilling. Director Ranjit Tewari has given a nice pace to the movie and his use of the camera specially outdoors is commendable. The may be minor technical flaws in the legal proceedings of the case but that needs to be overlooked in the interest of entertainment seeking audience. So in the midst of the tension we also have a romantic song which is a must for mainstream entertainment. Akshay is good as usual as the junior cop. It was good to see Chandrachur Singh after a long time. I also found actor Sargun Mehta very accomplished in the role of SHO. Rakul Preet is Akshay's love interest and looks pretty.

I would give 8 out 10 if it wasn't remake
sunilsagar-647102 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's a remake version of Tamil movie rathchasan. Just watched cuttputli for 30 mins and I was like bas karo yaar bhauth hogaya... Bollywood has become so boring these days because most of the movies are remake from south and some of the movies are senseless. If Bollywood continues to do same thing i think Bollywood movies will find hard time to release in OTT.. one thing Bollywood should always know when you make remake of South movie you already lost 50 percent of audience. We don't want to watch same stories with different faces. Movies has to be suspence... Thriller... When you already know what is the plot why do you watch again and again same story... It was good decision you released this movie in ott platform if it was released in theatre then definitely it would be utter flop and disaster. Akshay Kumar stop doing hell out of movie in 1 year and don't be so money minded... There is nothing change in your acting... Same acting same stunts everything same in all movies......

Great Views but lacks emotional intensity
mosheaston4 September 2022
This was a nice one time watch movie with no clue of its original version. Makes you want to visit the shooting locations however there was a slight haphazardness in story telling and emotional engagement. Also I wonder was it a deliberate decision to cast Rakul Preet Singh and Sargun Mehta who resemble one another. One could easily mistake one actress for the other. If yes then why?

Recently I also saw a South Indian movie with English subtitles called Dejavu and inspite of the language barrier, I was on the edge of my seat and enjoyed it. We should avoid sense less songs in Hindi movies might keep the story on track.

Not even close to the original one Ratsasan
abunasarminhaj4 September 2022
Unnecessary songs and poor acting by lead actors specially Akshay Kumar..he failed in acting at emotional scenes.

Background music and sounds were not good.if you are doing a copy then do it properly, some best scenes of Ratsasan were not shown.

Villain's role is not very strong as compare to Original movie.but rakul preet's acting was appreciable, she did her job property.by akshay's acting,at some emotional scene you will feel like it is a comedy film and failed to make you emotional.

I don't know how people appreciate akshay kumar for his acting in serious mode or emotional acting.

He is good at comedy but not for serious role.

Akshay's age can be clearly seen, white beard, wrinkles even after heavy make-up. Makers failed him to represent him as a 36 years old man.

Overall story (3/10) Acting(1/10) Music(1/10) Caste selection (2/10) Akshay acting(0/10) Songs(1/10)
