Bad acting, bad film work, bad story. The inaccuracies are to many to list. A ship gunner wearing a WW2 German helmet, LOL. Don't waste your time with this excuse of a movie. If it was possible to give it a minus rating, I would.

I'm pretty easy going. I like most movies, particularly about giant creatures.. King Kong, Godzilla, Megalodon sharks, crocodiles, spiders BUT this movie was such a disappointment. It was disjointed and boring.. I had to fast forward through most of it. What I found most disappointing was Tom Sizemore.. I've always liked him but his appearance in this movie was bizarre. He was always sitting down and looked like he had a rod down his back.. he did not look well.. I also didn't quite get his exact role and why he was always in a seated position., I just found it strange .. I did not like this movie..

Worse movie ever seen,.. Just annoyed listening 'Yes Mam' from all over.. $10 acting crew and cast..What a concept and VFX. Most funny thing the guy just sitting in the table and using PS4 joystick to fight with shark🤣🤣🤣

Not sure how asylum survives putting out all those bad movies, they are not even entertaining the least.

This film does not have a single redeemable feature. It's just garbage from the opening scene until the closing credits. Terrible acting, script, effects, everything.

Where to start I wonder? Tom Sizemore, what in the name of god happened to you? Sweating, out of breath, were you drinking or off your medication. Seriously Tom, you should have given this a miss and be remembered as the great actor you were.

The rest of the cast: seriously? Pinocchio was less wooden and more believable as an actor. Best actors are not even credited, especially Lisa Lee who had a look on her face that said 'I don't want to be here'. Lisa is worth much more than this.

CGI: state of the art battle ships, but the set: borrowed WWII scrap and it showed. Rusty anti aircraft guns, peeling paint, 80 year old equipment.

The highlight of the movie other than Lisa Lee..... The WWII Piss Pot German helmet the guy was wearing.. Hilarious.

How to spot low budget

If an action movie is shot indoors, where the action isn't happening, if the screenplay keeps inventing imaginary conflict, if time-constrained decisions keep getting put off, if almost all the exposition is contained in phone calls, when the same shots are repeated, when a cast of hundreds is represented by six people and they keep saying the same things, in short, where every possible economy is visible and risible, you're watching something that doesn't merit the use of your senses.

So very bad. 10,000 reaction shots recycled because they have no plot structure or story. This movie is 2% sharks, and they are cartoons. Everyone making comments here is a better actor than those in movie. Are they intentionally this wooden? Great movie in certain state of mind., but giant POS.

While the acting may not be the best I still found it quite enjoyable and entertaining. I do not understand all the 1 star reviews. It's not really low budget like they are saying. It just looks low budget compared to the Marvel, Dc, etc. Movies we are used to. They had a decent budget that was genuinely realistic. People who are trashing on this have no sense of how much work goes into !Every! Movie. When I first started I thought the cgi was pretty bad but came to appreciate it once I remembered it's not some Hollywood movie with a budget of $250,000,000 dollars. Just because you may be used to high produced movies take the time to enjoy some movies that may not be of as high as a production quality. I'd recommend it if you have time to spare. If you are looking for a Marvel level movie there are many out there.

Bad acting, worse script.

How many actors did they use in the entire film, counting the crew of two larger ships? Maybe 12.

I liked the first "Megalodon", al least Jason Statham is a real actor and the plot make sense.

"Megalodon Rising" has no pay actors, maybe acting students making their first appearence in a movie... And what happened with Tom Sizemore? He looks fat, sweated and you note that the make up assistant forgot him.

The worst movie in many years.

This is one of those movies that touts a known "star" (Sizemore) who is barely in the movie.

In addition, they add a prehistoric shark to rise the interest level. And for some reason throw in a CHinese connection to pander to hem.

The main actors -- you know the ones who are in every scene -- are talentless. Literally. Looks lke this was largely an equity hire. They are unwatchable.

Sizemore pops up periosically from an office separate from the rest of the movie. It's obvious he did all his scenes in a few hours from the office and they just cut it in later.

For some reason he's sweating profusly. Frankly, I think he's back on the juice.

Youll be hard pressed to check out the shark -- it's only in it for like 3 seconds at the end when all the bad actors try to kill it with rifles -- inclding one guy with a nazi helmet on (I'm not joking)

The lower depths of movie making for the megashark of the moment. It could have been just bad, it's worse. The acting is so bad that you wonder if the actors had to pay to appear int he movie, the six are non existant as the said megalodon doesn't really make an appearance in the movie. However mandarine translation seems to be very important in the plot for reasons which escape my cantonese.

Well there are so many movies with teeth pleading for your attention out there, go see them.

The acting was awful, the story was hideous, and the Captain Chick kept hoping she'd die but sadly she did not. The sharks teased you with never actually showing themselves and when you did it was just glimpses. 1 star for the sharks, that's it. Not worth watching. Either don't buy it or donate it to your local library.

Holy Sharknado! When I saw that the low-life thug Tom Sizemore was the leading name in the cast, I was drawn to give it a look-see just out of curiosity. His role was little more than a cameo, but even in his brief appearances, he seemed amateurish next to the earnest, young unknown supporting cast. Even his first scene near the beginning was disastrous! Even though he's sitting still, talking on the phone - and long before any megalodon confrontation - he's sweating profusely for no dramatic reason. Even worse, he sounds as if he's reading his lines. He speaks in a staccato, William Shatner way, in bursts of 3 or 4 words. Then a pause, then 3 or 4 more words. One feels sorry for the mostly young and unknown cast who are there to support Sizemore, but, in fat, have to do all the heavy lifting in moving the wafer-thin plot along. The "action" consists mostly of much talking on claustrophobic sets. Interspersed with brief long shots of military vessels just sailing along. Don't waste your time.

Someone paid money to make this! At first the title got me, but 5 minutes into it, I was dumbfounded that I was actually watching it. Terrible acting and CGI, I wasted 1hour and 30 minutes of my life watching this trash. The acting was just so bad. The move jumped all over the place not explaining much at the beginning. I had to figure out the story line of the first 30 minutes myself. Because they is no build up to what was going on. There is a ship USA and Chinese war ships and then there three big ass sharks. Who is fighting who, you will have to watch it. I would should have just rewatched a movie I already had seen. Do yourself a favor and watch something else.

This was not that bad of a movie. I gave it a 6 just to try and balance the rating out a little bit. I've seen a lot worse rated 4 plus. Don't know why everyone has to be so hard on a decent cheapy creepy. What do they expect.

I searched why is the megalodon rising so trash and this review site came up so I decided to write a review. The acting is HORRIBLE, there's not one good actor, the movie makes no sense, and the CGI, don't even get me started on the CGI, movies from the 70s have better quality. Trash movie do not recommend, unless you want to scream at your tv.

The movie title should be 'yes ma'am' because thats the only thing that matters with the entire crew.

Theres no character development bad acting bad directing bad cgi bad plot

what else you can ask for? The whole reciper for a bad B-movie is right there 'yes ma'am'

By telling the narrative through the eyes of a 'yes ma'am' destroyer crew , the producers made a point in leaving it a low graded B film.

I created an imdb account just for the sake of writing a review for this stupid film 'yes ma'am'.

I dont understand why the actors choose to create a dumb film of this kind.

Total trash 10/10.

I could not help but laugh at how horrible this truly is! So unbelievably bad I cannot believe it is a 2021 movie. If you are into super cheesy shark flicks, thos one is definitely for you. The writing is mediocre at best.
