Hot on the heels of his busy summer schedule, multi-Platinum artist Bleu partners with rap royalty Nicki Minaj for emotive new single, “Love In The Way”. Showcasing Bleu’s eclectic production skills, “Love In The Way” channels Amapiano-inflected drums which are layered with profound synths that evoke the sadness and heartache that both Bleu and Nicki Minaj express throughout the song. Topped with an infectious vocal sample of Sam Tompkins’ track “Whole”, all elements of the record create a powerful escapism that will transport the listener to a world of its own.
As the first single ahead of his album, “Love In The Way” gives an insight into Bleu’s journey as an artist thus far; from his early beginnings as Yung Bleu, to his fresh elevated sound as Bleu. The track kickstarts this new chapter for the versatile talent, who is also a Grammy-nominated songwriter, boasting production and writing...

Blake Shelton’s swampy ode to rural living, Alice Wallace’s examination of life on the road and Sam Outlaw’s laid-back Don Williams cover make up the list of must-hear country and Americana songs this week.
Matt Stell, “Prayed for You”
A God-fearing epic about faith, love and the salvation provided by a good romantic match, Matt Stell’s “Prayed for You” toes the line between Christian and country music. “I kept my faith like that old King James said I’m supposed to,” Stell sings, happy that he...

A dingy apartment door is kicked in from the outside and a slick-looking detective bursts in brandishing a gun. Bullets fly, kicks are roundhoused, and the cop is put through an interior wall, resulting in his arms and fists fighting off one foe, while his flailing legs dispatch another in the next room over. This choppy, exaggerated melee is not the typical beginning to a film selected for Cannes, even one in the occasionally genre-friendly Directors’ Fortnight, and though it’s quickly revealed to be imaginary — a bedtime story told to a little boy grieving for his dead hero-cop father — the tone of merry lunacy sets the bar for Pierre Salvadori’s “The Trouble With You.”
The loopy plot follows Yvonne (Adèle Haenel), a police officer on desk duty who, two years after the death of her cop husband Santi (Vincent Elbaz) inadvertently discovers he was far from the crusading...

Remake rights instead of original scripts are in high demand in the Hindi film industry and the trend is only going to go up with time. Three titles that should receive a lot of attention in this year's fest are: Jorge Michel Grau's contempo cannibal film to break out We Are What We Are (see pic), and Johannes Stjärne Nilsson's Sound of Noise – a high risk film because it mixes genres together like someone grabbing whole bunch of leftovers from the fridge. - The kings of the Croisette – Wild Bunch have got titles coming out of all orifices that they just supplied the fest with the last minute addition of Ken Loach's Route Irish. Earlier in the year they had one of the best comedies of the year in Four Lions play in Sundance (which has yet to be picked up for the North American market) and the steamy Rome in Room should fog up the Market Screenings.
