GENIUS! A very unique, artsy, clever, original and heavy Swedish psychological drama - with original perspectives.

ART!

Abit of a bad start - but a interesting, heavy, raw and pretty intense perspective of psychological health and psychological disorders, stress and anxiety, dare to stand up for yourself, perception of time and reality slowly falling apart. And grief that wont let go.

However...

Please let the beginning take it time, cause the film only gets better and better.

A extremely heavy, surrealistic existential and deep piece about our vulnerability from memories.

The atmosphere is very well put together into the film!

It displays anxiety in a very unique way.

A FANTASTIC EXAMPLE OF SMART, WELL PUT TOGETHER AND UNCOMFORTABLE FAMILY DRAMA. A very thought provoking film.

A very unique Swedish drama - with original perspectives, clever style and interesting ideas about society.

Acting is not anything over the usual. But it actually feels pretty authentic. However It gets much better the longer into the film.

Very good soundtrack!

But its a pretty well made and clever, deep film and very well put together. Abit funny aswell.

Well made characters and nicely and smoothly filmed and edited. Very good cinematography! A very interesting story and very well written!

Very great twists in the story! The ending gives alot of explaining to the mind of the main character.

I totally recommend it! A must see! One of the more better Swedish produced films!

Woods: A Journey to Wellbeing"
Plymone-se13 September 2023
"The Swedish feature film, focusing on exploring psychological health from a unique perspective, offers viewers a deep insight into human emotions and challenges. The film attempts to shed light on the complex aspects of mental health, doing so through strong acting performances that imbue the characters with depth and authenticity.

Despite the film's ambition to delve into this important subject, it unfortunately lacks a certain atmosphere that could have further enriched the narrative. At times, it feels like the film falls short in creating the right ambiance necessary to truly immerse the audience in the characters' emotional journey.

The storytelling can sometimes feel a bit rushed in its presentation, which means that certain nuances and pivotal moments may not receive adequate time for development. It's a challenge when tackling such a complex topic as mental health within a limited time frame.

Despite these shortcomings, the film remains a valuable addition to the Swedish cinematic landscape. It raises essential questions about mental health and provides viewers with an opportunity to reflect on these subjects. The actors deliver strong performances, and the film offers a different perspective on a pressing issue. Hopefully, future productions can build upon this foundation and find ways to deepen both the atmosphere and storytelling."

Unique swedish drama

Warning: Spoilers
By acclaimed director Andreas Öhman, who has previously directed several very thoughtful dramas with lots of humour in a unique blend, comes another masterpiece, and one of the better swedish films of the year, which is not a faint praise given the land's rich filmography.

With an acclaimed cast of actors, Öhman coveys beautifully the sense of tragedy and trauma, with an incredibly clever script that features some interesting dialogue and a blend of cartoon images and live action.

It all works beautifully and features some breathtaking cinematography and imagery, a truly deep and unique, yet also funny experience that is definitely recommended.
