Coronet tries to move past the 1950s in this short film in which it tackles the question of what makes a minority in the United States, and winds up talking about race without talking about race.
By this time, Coronet had been producing short films for the class room and the 7AM farm report for a quarter of a century. Usually bolstered by someone with academic credentials and a style of narration that indicates they were speaking to morons and trying to slip one past with long words.
This one falls right into that category, and tries to make its self-declared up-to-date attitude by speaking with people on the street who talk with Urban Black or foreign accents.
