Watch 'Koihime musô' before this
Tweekums9 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This series follows on from 'Koihime musô' so if you haven't watched that I'd advised doing so before starting on this series. Most if not all of the characters from that series return and are joined by several others; most notably the Chou Sisters; these have little to do with the main characters from before, they are a musical trio who hit the big time when they are given a magic book which enables them to make 'magical microphones'! These don't only amplify sound but also make the listeners do whatever they are told. At first they just ask for various presents but as the series draws to a close they use the power to raise an army which will lead then into conflict with Kan'u, Rin-Rin and their friends but not in the way one might expect!

This series featured rather less conflict with the bandits although there was some including a good episode where they tried to drown the bandits by opening the floodgates above a dry river as the bandits crossed. As before there is a fair amount of fan service; mostly in the form of the girls rather revealing costumes; there are however far more sexual comments made this time. If you didn't enjoy 'Koihime musô' then don't bother with this but if you did you'll probably like this too as it is more of the same.

These comments are made based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.

Even better than the first! Warning: Spoilers
Now, I have watched season 2, and I have to say that I enjoyed it! In this season, it follows the continuing adventures of Kan'u (Aisha), her sworn sister Lin Lin (Choui) and Chounn (Sei). While in this new season, even more characters are introduced. I will not mention all of the characters, except one particular one; Ryuubi. Ryuubi is a girl who was cornered by the recurring bandits, and they tell her that they "could make her feel good." As usual, Kan'u and her friends come to their aide and whoop their butts into kingdom come. It was revealed that a bandit was using her name Ryuubi Gentsoku, and led a peace group. However, he was revealed to have been a fraud, and he then runs off. Before that, he stole her blade that was passed down from each generation of family members that began with an infamous emperor. Like the first season, hardly anyone dies (except maybe in flashbacks), and the action scenes seemed brief, and no one ever mentions the scenes again. And like in my review of the first season, it balances out adult humor, and has a serious tone to boot. I highly recommend this to anyone who loved the first season. Ten stars out of ten! However, much like
