Not even really a movie
TheBeardedWonder15 December 2021
I'm not sure this even qualifies as a flick. It's clearly made during Covid and from people who have never met each other once. Just random people speaking awkward dialogue into their webcams, then edited to what's supposed to resemble an actual scene.

Honestly anyone with 3-4 people and 1-2 laptops could have made this. It's utterly unwatchable. Most movies you can find something good about, but this is one you won't be able to.

Not even so bad it's good, skip it...

Not even close to hacking. More like script kiddie.

First 15 minutes were boring. You meet the back story of the protagonist, which makes internet dating even more laughable. Think of is it as the Blair Witch project of hacking. The plot was thin as paper and does not keep your attention for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Monstrosity

Budget: -10£ Actors : 1/10 Plot: 2/10 Hacking: My mother's view on it Chick: kinda hot Production: Filmed on a nokia phone and a GoPro 2 I mean the movie is not even to watch as a meme, it's so bad it just disappoints me it has the tile Hacker. The only thing worth about this movie is the British Snoop Dogg character which is kinda cool ngl, but other than that do yourself a favor and don't watch it. I made an account just to submit this review so whoever wanted to watch it doesn't waste his time.

Lazy Lockdown Movie
f_jones31 March 2023
Hacker, aka Hacker: Trust No One (2021) doesn't acquire much hacking at all. Here, we focus on desperate loner Danny Miles as he searches for his partner online. However once he meets Alyssa, things start to take a turn for the worst as she's held captive online and it becomes more of a ransom story. This must have been made during the covid outbreak so things are very limited here in this dramatic thriller. There's too much talking to the camera and very little decent sound quality. The technical aspects are shockingly appalling. Sam Mason-Bell doesnt do himself much justice as it just looks lazy and uninspiring.

The future looks bleak

How did technology try to connect us then humans became completely disconnected. I miss the pocket full of quarters and the payphone days. I'm glad I grew up in the 80s and 90s I feel blessed to have experienced that kinda life. I'm actually happy I'm 53 with being able to see this drastic change to humans before I die.

Speechless.

Don't get me wrong, this movie was absolutely atrocious. From the acting, plot, dialogue, to even phone-filmed vertical footage.... this was a painful secondhand embarrassment-filled experience. Would never, ever recommend, nor would I have viewed it myself if it wasn't for my boyfriend, who found it on the explore page of a movie-pirating site, and suggested we view it for laughs. And laugh, we did. Endlessly. My stomach still hurts as i reminisce of certain moments, and I am chuckling as I write this review. Of course, it's comedic elements are unintentional by the producers, as its intended "thriller" aspects failed oh so horrendously, that ironic comedy was almost inevitable. Many bad movies exist, but so rare are the ones so bad, they outdo even some high-budget comedies.

A masterpiece for its budget.

About a guy who tries to find love online using an online dating app. But things take a terrible turn and Danny has choices to make.

It's not your box office style Film (If you expect this you will be disappointed) But I liked it as after the first 15 minutes your left wondering "what will happen next?". I straight away got friends to watch it too. They agree... although not a high budget film it was very entertaining.
