LOT Delivered my favorite 100th episode of the
ldamena28 October 2021
Arrowverse. It had so much heart as Gideon and Astra/Spooner navigated her memories. As she became more sentient the more I felt. Also my emotions at seeing all those old, faces of the OG Legends: Captain Cold, Ray, Nora, Jax, Grey, Hawkman and Rip Hunter it was great getting to see them again. Also Gideon's memories showed as the character development Sara has gone thru, thru the years. She's grown so much and I love her so much more for it. Legends is such a gem, it's sad that it's one of the arrowverses most underrated shows. It deserves to be watch because seriously it deserves all the love in the world.

Warning: Spoilers
It was so fun taking a trip down memory lane with stein and captain cold (snart is one of those characters I have missed the most) as well as Nora and Ray and of course the better version of Zari...this show is so "off the rails" it's fun yet adventurous and has heart I love it!

What it means to be a Legend!
sbuhrman-7479828 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Every so often, this show has its episode that invites a new member. Unlocking their true potential and mapping their route towards redemption. As a 100th episode, it was extremely fitting for that person to be Gideon. Though a member of the team since day 1, she's been overlooked as a Legend many times before. If this decision stays and we get human Gideon from here on out, I think that's fantastic.

The call backs to moments both happy and sad were rewarding for those who've stuck by this show through it all. I'm confused why we really didn't get any Constantine or Rory scenes face to face. Especially if Matt Ryan is still on the show...The chopping block for what didn't make it in the episode was probably full of great ideas. Either way, we were well rewarded with classic Legends moments while also still following the current plot. Can't wait to see what follows!

100!
wetmars3 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Astra and Spooner have fallen asleep after doing some dark magic on Gideon to revive her since she got overworked for a historical pie. Suddenly, we see the two wake up in Gideon's mind. We see a familiar face who would be Jackson. OH MY GOD. We see our beloved Bishop again. I love the guy. Seems like the Flash tech didn't properly work on him. Bishop discovers some hard drive that came from the future, suspecting that it is the key to making the lizard people. Jackson explains that Gideon's brain has been going through some weird ** since the ship- Jackson transport Astra and Spooner to her memory which was one year ago where they have recovered Spooner to find Ava's beloved Sara. Astra and Spooner are transported back from her key memories. Suddenly, her memories are repopulating which is a good thing. The three are transported back to a memory when WE SEE RAY AND CAPTAIN COLD. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. I missed them so god damn much.

It amazes me that Sara has been through a lot of character growth throughout her whole run. The same thing goes for Ray! The three are then transported back. Gideon requests Jackson to go back. We get to see Gray where Gideon sings a classic song. Hawk-Man, too! Jackson discovers that Gideon's A. I. is filled with viruses. Now, the three are trapped and Jackson cannot get hold of them. Gideon realized that there is a way to get out. She quickly refuses the wires and flies the ship where we see tons of memories. Now, they are finally back reunited with Jackson. The three are once again transported where we see our beloved Rip Hunter as Arthur Darvill which I widely know from Doctor Who. His performance has improved a lot. Gideon is taunted by her evil A. I. system for a brief moment. We return to 2213 where Bishop revives Gideon's hard drive which he has stolen in the finale of Season 6. Gideon refuses to give 2213 Bishop information about the Legends. 2213 Bishop threatens her that he will find a way.

Astra and Spooner are transported back since the OG Legends can now see them. Evil Gideon reminds Gideon that one time where Gideon was suddenly killed by the villain of S5. Man, that was an enjoyable season. (( Looking back at my reviews on those episodes. I have seriously approved reviewing content. )) A lot of painful memories fill Gideon's mind. Man, this makes me emotional. Evil Gideon taunts her to betray the Legends and to betray them. She refuses the offer. Behrad and Zari block their way, but Jackson uses his gun on her. The same thing goes for Nat, Sara, and Ava. Astra and Spooner come to save the day convincing Gideon to snap out of it. We are greeted with a happy memory where we see the Legends celebrating Christmas! (( My favorite Holiday. )) Then another happy memory where we see Gideon gossips and Sara singing after they saved the world in the S5 finale. Gideon has enough but talks about the solution to all of this. "Welcome to the team, Gideon." Gideon, Astra, and Spooner eventually wake up. Back in 2213. Bishop is becoming the man he has to become, resetting Gideon's system.

Thoughts?

I am sorry if this review was a mess because way too many things were going on (( in a good way )) since the writers are celebrating their 100th episode. Overall, the episode was great loads of fun and entertainment with "nostalgia". I enjoyed the presence of Gideon in the form of a human being. I honestly thought that Gideon was going to be an A. I. throughout the show, but the writers did a bold move where they give her actual character. Astra and Spooner's chemistry never gets old. This is easily Amy Louise Pemberton's best performance so far. Also, the soundtrack is brilliant.

Honestly, this might be my all-time personal favorite Legends of Tomorrow episode ever. You have everything to make it an absolutely phenomenal episode that manages to be creative, filled with humor, emotional, full of twists, etc. Although, I am a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see Constantine. Well, ladies and gentlemen, it looks like that 2213 Bishop will be the main villain of this season. I am glad to see him back. There's something about Bishop that I love about him, and I think Raffi Barsoumian brings all of his energy to this character. My final words are that I have massive respect for low-budget shows that manage to make it work despite not having a lot of money in their budget. It is pretty amazing if you ask me.

This Was Legends of Tomorrow's Best Episode! And no, it's not a Contest!
demigodshmurda28 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I don't think I've smiled so much while watching an episode of television in my entire life. I have no words that can possibly express my utter joy watching this episode from beginning to end. I'm not usually a person that cries while watching tv, but I was almost brought to tears by this episode. I've never seen an episode with so much heart and soul put into it.

And you wanna know something funny? Some people are really gonna sit here and say that Legends' is a parody of itself, that it's jumped the shark, that it was better during seasons 2 and 3, and that it's utterly unwatchable. Is Legends of Tomorrow a perfect show? Absolutely not. But saying that this episode is anything less than a love letter to every aspect of this series is a complete and utter lie.

For starters, I don't normally acknowledge the directors during my reviews, but I can't not give Caity Lotz props for how well this episode was shot, and how well every line of dialogue was given. This direction was nothing short of perfection, and I think it speaks to the series as a whole that the last original Legend left standing directed the 100th episode of the show.

Onto the actual episode, when the CW usually does these big milestone episodes, they just kinda exist in this bubble that doesn't really progress the story of the season forward, or introduce any new ideas that end up sticking around. The one exception to this was Arrow's 100th episode "Invasion!", but that was part of a crossover, so of course it had to push *some* narrative forward. "wvrdr_eror_100<oest-of-th3gs.gid30n> not found" on the other hand doesn't just look back on the previous aspects of the series we all love, but actively pushes the season's narrative forward in two key ways.

Firstly, there's the narrative with Bishop in the future. He cloned Gideon's AI during the season 6 finale "The Fungus Amongus" and is on a journey to regain his memories and destroy the Legends for foiling his plans to improve humanity. And by the looks of things, Bishop is gonna be coming back as the main villain of season 7. And I'm not gonna lie, I'm down for that! Raffi Barsoumian is such a fun presence to have on the show, and his character is as well as a result. He's clearly having fun playing Bishop, and that makes him fun to *watch* on screen! If Bishop is coming back as the main villain of season 7, or even just a side villain, sign me up!

And secondly, there's the nature by which the episode presents Gideon as a human. Gideon has always just been the AI on the Wave Rider, and I'll bet that the majority of the audience never accepted that Gideon would be anything more. I certainly didn't. So when it was announced that Gideon would be joining the Legends in human form this season, I honestly didn't think much of it. I was just like "Oh, that's kinda cool", and then moved on. And I'm not gonna lie, I really need to stop doing that. I did it with Stargirl's first season, I did it with Superman and Lois, and now I've done it with Gideon, and every single one of these things has impressed me.

The episode treats Gideon like she's becoming a real person for the first time, and offers a new perspective on a lot of the moments that we've already seen in the series, and even some that we haven't seen. For example, Gideon enjoys the fond memories she enjoyed with the team, but doesn't want to remember Behrad's death in season 5. And yet, it was clearly traumatic for her. So much so that she remembers every painstaking detail about how he died, and Zari's reaction after. And yeah, we've probably seen this kind of tactic before in other series, but I've never seen it done with the amount of emotion that it's done with here. It's not just us seeing a character we remember from a previous season and being like "Oh, hey, I know that guy!". Instead, we're remembering it through Gideon being forced to remember it, and there's a huge difference between the two, especially in terms of a milestone episode.

When "Anti-Gideon" first brought up Behrad's death, I thought it would go one of two ways. The first would be that the writers would make fun of Behrad being a generally not well liked character. The second was that Gideon wouldn't remember anything in particular about him. And though neither of my assumptions were correct, I honestly like it better the way the writers handled it. Legends of Tomorrow knows when to take itself seriously, and the people that say otherwise are just wrong. The Legends writing team is probably the most talented and passionate group of writers that the CW currently has employed outside of the Superman and Lois writers, and it absolutely shows in the way this episode treats the characters.

I was at first put off by the episode seeming "low budget", and it absolutely is. There isn't any big fancy special effects or fight scenes, and it's just a lot of characters standing around and talking as ominous music plays in the background. But the thing is, that actually works to the episode's advantage. The Legends' team are nothing if not flexible with their budget (most of the time, I'm not forgetting about "The Fungus Amongus" and its less than stellar special effects), and they're able to make simple scenes of Gideon, Spooner, and Astra talking incredibly engaging in a way that other series just can't do.

And I have to credit the incredible cast with making so many of these scenes work too. Huge props to Amy Louise Pemberton this week for giving a really captivating and nuanced performance as Gideon coming to terms with her humanity. My eyes were glued to the screen every scene she was in, and that doesn't often happen these days.

And to cap off the episode, we get a truly remarkable shot of every major Legend wishing Gideon good luck and welcoming her to the team. In fact, the only Legends that aren't there in the final shot are Hawkgirl (who most people weren't the biggest fan of), Mick (who must've seriously wanted out if he wasn't willing to stick around for the 100th episode), Mona (who also wasn't the audience's favorite character), Amaya and Charlie (and I'm not really sure what Maisie Richardson-Sellers is doing right now, so I think it would've been cool to see her back for the 100th episode), and OG Zari (who wasn't there because the shot was a fun one take that featured New Zari instead and they didn't want to add Tala Ashe in digitally). But honestly, with the cast of characters that were there, it's more than a worthy cast to officially welcome Gideon to the Legends of Tomorrow.

If I had any nitpicks with the episode, it would be the way some of the characters were acting. For example, Ray wasn't usually as chipper as he was in this episode until season 3, yet he's acting like that in scenes with Hawkman and Snart. Also, we didn't really get to know Hawkman, so I wouldn't really know if he was acting out of character, but seeing that he's acting this way here kinda makes me wish that we did get to know the character more. We also didn't get to see Jax and Stein become Firestorm one final time, which is pretty disappointing. I'm willing to forgive those minor inconsistencies though because of the powerful narrative with Gideon, and the fact that this is a milestone episode that contributes to the season's overall narrative.

If you've given up on Legends of Tomorrow, give the show another go, because there's truly no other episode of tv I've seen in a long, long time that has this much heart and emotion put into it. "wvrdr_error_100<oest-of-th3-gs.gid30n> not found" is by far Legends of Tomorrow's best episode, hands down the best milestone episode in the Arrowverse, and manages to do more than just show us characters that we used to know and expect us to care. We care because *Gideon* cares, and we're seeing the episode through Gideon's eyes. The writers crafted this episode in such a smart way, and it's truly magnificent.

A Legendary Journey for the 100th Episode
MovieFreak86-415-91253128 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
What a great episode to celebrate 100 episodes of Legends of Tomorrow. Taking a stroll through Gideon's memories was such a good idea for the 100th episode.

We got to see key moments from the past 6 seasons that were important to Gideon's growth. We saw the moments that took her from just being the ships A. I., to becoming a member of the team, to becoming a Legend, and now to becoming the person she is today.

It was also great seeing some past Legends return. Legends like, Ray Palmer, Captain Cold, and even Rip Hunter. That's a good thing about taking a stroll down memory lane, getting to see some fan favorites return.

It was also a great idea to have the 100th episode directed by Sara Lance herself, Caity Lotz.

And finally, I thought the biggest surprise of the episode was how it ended. I think we got a hint at who might be the big bad of this season, and I also think it's the same person who destroyed the Waverider at the end of last season. If I'm right, this might be one of toughest fights for The Legends. I can't wait to see what they have planned for the rest of the season.

Oww all those incredible OG characters i missed them all. This episode was like a gift for fans i loved it. Made me see the hell of a journey of the Legends up-to now, its beautiful and though sometimes.

This show is one of my favorite shows because its so creative, adventurous, funny AF with unique characters and it can sometimes get emotional but never bleak. I hope it goes on and on and hopefully with some comebacks too.

Great episode for a long long time!
rabbit_mini29 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Of course it's only going to mean something for those who followed through the series, but it's just so good that we got to revisit the journey altogether.

The last scene where Gideon walked through each member were absolutely amazing! You can hear that it was so well-thought with which legend is delivering which line, e.g. When Nora talked about darkness and Captain Cold spoke about mistakes! I cant help but looped that part for a couple of times!

Hope this shows still gets better!

Wow!!!!
sanjuparampil2 November 2021
This episode literally made me cry. It was indeed great to see the original characters back. Especially Rip Hunter.

However they could have added more scenes for Rory and Hawk girl. Also Amaya who was a major part of legends was not showcased.

The episode proved to be best. I loved it absolutely.

Cold is back
haoxuan-512485 April 2022
I'm so excited to see lots of OG back to this episode, just like they are my whole youth. Can you believe that it has been 7 years! I remembered how thriving I was when I first time to saw Cold show appeared in Flash, because Miller was my favorite actor(may be Prison Break was my first US TV series). Anyway saw them doing the exact thing what they did in the first season really made feel I came back in time. Especially what they did summary in the end, straight to my heart!

Spectacular

Warning: Spoilers
It was really awesome to see all (most) of the og legends back together. I would have liked to have seen mick one last time, or maybe charlie or amaya, but I am completely satisfied with what they did. And Gideons character development was phenomenal as well!! Not an action heavy episode but it made up for it in dialogue and emotion. (Rip's and Gideon's interactions. Were. Just. Perfect). (And also Nate and Ray! I love their friendship so much I cant even write enough about it). Not going to lie, I totally shed a few tears at that end scene.

Overall, I'm partial to the idea of Bishop being the main or side villain again in season 7. I liked him last season and I think he'll do well in this one too.

stephendibb7 November 2021
Bit schmalzy for my taste, but as 1000th I suppose they know what the kids want.

Really only wanted to point out that I think someone on the script team has been reading Becky Chambers for one plot idea. ;)

Best episode in years
krgoldman-564489 November 2021
The main thing this episode did was remind me how much I missed the original cast and how much better the show was then.

Even when they are in the past now, they push an agenda.

Reminder of how badly things changed
jontryingteach8 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Great episode only because we get to see all the people that made this show great, before the major downward spiral from season around season 5ish to the joke of a show we have now.

Great to see all those older characters, that may have had little flaws, but no where near the annoyance that almost all of the new characters are.

Gideon the best thing in this episode, along with the flash backs of the old teams. Can't believe the annoying big bad from last season is still on the go!!! Only watching through this most frustrating, annoying, and pointless b0ll0cks of a season as I made it this far. Though so much eye rolling for the stupidity, dumb dialogue, and frustration of how the show has become, is such a constant!

Again, why do they not care about screwing up the timeline!!! Spooner's mom should be dead! But hey, it's ok! This episode just points out how far they have moved from what the show was originally! Basically NONE of the current characters are "Legends", (except maybe Nate. Of course Gideon. Sara if I must (but never really liked her character)) It was getting hard to watch since mid season 5, but at least we had Rory and John.
