X-Men ‘97, the latest project from Marvel Studios’ animation department, is set to take fans back to the golden age of Mutant storytelling. The show is a follow-up to X-Men: The Animated Series, which ran from 1992 until 1997. While fans will fondly remember this Saturday morning cartoon mainstay, it’s hard to ignore the impact that the arcade game also had around this same era.
Konami’s X-Men launched in 1992 and has succeeded in creating a legacy that is intrinsically linked to the Mutant mayhem of the 90s. So how did X-Men actually contribute to the popularity of the team? Well to work that out, we first have to go back to the beginning.
The X-Men’s Origins & Rise
The first X-Men comic debuted in 1963. With the incredible Stan Lee and Jack Kirby collaborating on the comic, history was made and a series of characters were born that would forever shape Marvel’s storytelling.

Epic Games’ Fortnite is one of the most popular titles, and it owes its popularity to its amazing gameplay and freedom of customization, not to mention that it’s free to play. The developer also brings in collaborations from time to time that have now become a big part of Fortnite.
While the crossovers have helped the game garner more players, they have also overshadowed the main gameplay that first appealed to players. A survey from developers has now been sent to players, asking them about new crossovers they would want in the game.
A Fortnite Survey Suggests New Collaborations Are on the Cards Fortnite seems to be going further away from its gameplay with more collaborations.
The latest Chapter 5 Season 2, Myths & Mortals, was released on March 8th in Fortnite and brought Greek gods with their unique powers to the game. It was also revealed that a collaboration with the Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel,...

When it comes to sci-fi universes, Doctor Who can claim to have one of the biggest. Beyond its 60 years and counting of TV adventures, the show has three spin-off series (so far), two animated stories, one failed pilot, and a collection of licensed Doctor-less adventures, countless audios, comics, books, board games, tabletop RPGs, and that’s not including the stuff we missed which people are going to remind us about in the comments.
But there is one area where the Tardis just can’t quite seem to properly land – the world of video games.
If we look at Doctor Who’s compatriots in the Holy Triumvirate of Science Fiction Mega Franchises, Stars both Trek and Wars, this has never been as much of an issue. Star Wars was one of the first licenses to really fully embrace video games as a medium, and even if we only count the pure...

Hollywood star Jason Momoa shared his experience of riding a vintage motorcycle on the busy streets of New York City, and warned that it is not for the faint-hearted. “I was scared,” he said on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on the night of November 16.
“I was really scared.”
“I got out there, I was like, ‘Oh this is amazing’. It was like a video game. I don’t even play video games but if I were to imagine what a video game was like, it would be driving a motorcycle in New York City,” he told Fallon, according to Page Six.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actor compared his harrowing experience to that of a real-life version of the popular video series ‘Grand Theft Auto’ and ‘Frogger’.
“The people are scarier, they don’t give a c*** they just walk across the street,” he went on.
“The cars at least respect the people.

Exclusive: There’s a change at the top of Eureka Productions, the company behind unscripted series such as Fox’s Farmer Wants a Wife and Netflix’s The Mole.
Eden Gaha, who joined the company in May 2022, is leaving the business to “return to his roots” in independent production.
It comes as the former Endemol Shine unscripted chief helped the Fremantle-backed company launch seven original series including recent Fox order The Floor.
Gaha said he wanted to return to being a creator and showrunner, a role he was in before he joined the Chris Culvenor- and Paul Franklin-founded firm. He previously served as showrunner on Frogger, Eureka’s series based on the classic video game, for Peacock.
In addition to The Mole, which launched on Netflix in October, Farmer Wants a Wife, which was renewed for a second season in May, and The Floor, which is based...

Welcome to Streamers on the Rise, where we find streamers who are growing their channels, content, and audiences in extraordinary ways. Each week we’ll talk with a creator about what goes into livestreaming–both on and off camera.
Storymodebae hates editing videos.
If it’s short-form, she’ll drag herself through it. But long-form? For YouTube? She’s got mad respect for the people who have the patience for it, but she’s not one of them.
So, when someone told her to try Twitch–where it’s all in the moment and editing is simply not a thing–she was immediately intrigued.
She’d originally joined YouTube because she’s been a gamer for about as long as she can remember. She’s got fond memories of seeing Doom on her dad’s work computer in the 90s, and choosing between games like Frogger and Crash Bandicoot for her first-gen PlayStation.

Exclusive: The CW is continuing its push into unscripted.
The network has hired former NBCUniversal exec Betsy Slenzak as VP, Unscripted Programming. She reports to Head of Unscripted Programming Heather Olander and will develop and run current production on alternative reality series, events and specials for the network.
Slenzak was previously VP, Entertainment Unscripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, where she worked across reality competition, talent competition and game show formats for networks NBC, Bravo, E! and USA Network and streamer Peacock.
Her slate included series including NBC’s American Ninja Warrior, Peacock’s Love Island, The Traitors and Frogger.
The move follows the departure of Cyle Zezo, who was VP and Head of Alternative and Digital Programming, who Deadline revealed was leaving after nine years and was planning a move into production.

This post contains spoilers for "John Wick: Chapter 4."
In the rather extended, multi-armed climax of Chad Stahelski's latest entry in the greatest modern action franchise, "John Wick: Chapter 4," the title character (Keanu Reeves) finds himself dodging a literal army of assassins in the streets of Paris. John Wick is on his way to a climactic duel, but has to spend nearly 40 straight minutes of the film (not an exaggeration) getting past hundreds of murderous thugs before he can get there. A portion of his fight takes Mr. Wick to the traffic circle around the Arc de Triomphe, where he takes control of first a car, then a motorcycle, firing bullets into every adversary that wanders into his field of vision. During this deadly kerfuffle, John Wick is hit by numerous cars, bounces off of windshields, flips onto hoods, and generally suffers all manner of vehicular trauma. Because he is John Wick,...

This post contains spoilers for "John Wick: Chapter 4."
"Tick tock, Mr. Wick."
In "John Wick: Chapter 3 -- Parabellum," an unnamed homeless character played by comedian Jason Mantzoukas gravely warned the film's title character (Keanu Reeves) that his time was running out. Hundreds of assassins were closing in, John Wick had been excommunicated from his super-secret, high-class assassin guild, and the character appeared to be nearing the end of his rope.
Mantzoukas' grave invocation of the passage of time will be felt sorely by John Wick, by Keanu Reeves, and by the audience while watching Chad Stahelski's Greek mythology-indebted "John Wick: Chapter 4," a 169-minute cinematic explosion that is just as bogged down by action setpieces as it is strange, overwrought exposition about its own byzantine backstory. While the original 2014 "John Wick" was noted for the simplicity of its story and the lean, person-to-person action sequences, by "Chapter 4," Stahelski...

When US-based producer Eden Gaha meets Australians working in unscripted that have made their way over to Los Angeles, he usually tries to hire them.
The former TV host and now president of unscripted at Shine USA told If his two decades of experience across both countries had shown him the value of skills from Down Under.

“Otherwise, the landscapes are relatively similar but I would say Australians do a lot more with a lot less; they’re very talented and very good.
“Whenever I meet Australians who have made their way to the US, I make the point of trying to buy them lunch because to have come up in the ranks in this business in that territory, you’ve pretty much done it all...
