Comedy Dynamics has announced a handful of new stand-up specials as part of its “Spring Originals” slate.
Among the comics with new specials are Jay Jurden (a writer for “The Problem With Jon Stewart”), Bob the Drag Queen (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”), Chris Porter (“Last Comic Standing”) and Jiaoying Summers (host of the “Tiger Mom” podcast). All four specials have wrapped filming and are currently in post-production. Each are expected to debut in late 2025.
All four specials were filmed at the Joy Theatre in New Orleans and are directed by Comedy Dynamics founder Brian Volk-Weiss, who calls the “Spring Originals” “some of the funniest specials we’ve ever filmed.” He serves as executive producer alongside Cisco Henson.
“I think it’s the best introduction to My style of comedy, which is trying to give you 10 pounds of jokes in a 5 pound bag. It’s Black, it’s queer, and dammit it’s funny as hell,...

Jon Stewart has always been the kind of comedian who blends sharp wit with serious conversations, making complex issues easier to digest. With his show The Problem With Jon Stewart, he aimed to create a space where real-world issues could be dissected with humor and depth. Instead of just pointing out problems, Stewart brought people together—those affected, experts, and policymakers—to discuss how meaningful change could happen. It was a refreshing take on current affairs, different from the usual news or talk shows.
Despite its promise, The Problem With Jon Stewart met an unexpected end in 2023 when Apple TV decided to cancel it after just two seasons. Given the show’s popularity and Stewart’s reputation, many wondered—why did Apple TV pull the plug? Well, Stewart himself had some thoughts on that.

My Kind of Country is an American country music competition series that pits up-and-coming country artists from around the world against one another, competing as teams to see who will win the grand prize of $100,000 and earn an advertising campaign from Apple Music. Created by Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon and Grammy-winning recording artist Kacey Musgraves, My Kind of Country season 1 first premiered on March 24, 2023, and the series ended with Micaela Kleinsmith from Cape Town, South Africa as the victor.
Music competitions and game shows are always popular and My Kind of Country messes with formula just enough to feel exciting and fresh while still providing plenty of what fans have come to expect from similar series. In the show, three judges, Mickey Guyton, Jimmie Allen, and Orville Pick, select a team of four artists and guide them through showcases and workshops. The teams battle it out until only a handful of competitors are left.

Jon Stewart went on Conan O’Brien’s podcast and talked about how tech-giant streamers like Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime Video are changing Hollywood.
“There was this legacy business, and you’re seeing it change now as Silicon Valley comes in,” Stewart said. “The ethos of legacy entertainment is: we’ve created this incredibly eccentric business, where you need an agent and a manager and a lawyer, and they’re going to take about 60% of what you make, but without them there’s nothing you can do! And you join the studio, and the studio will give you a deal, and you’ll sit in your room. It’s the most inefficient way. Silicon Valley walked in like in the way Elon Musk walked into Twitter and went, ‘How many people work here? 10,000? Make it two.'”

Jon Stewart isn’t one to stay silent on the major issues of the day, even when a few tech giants wish he would. Before returning as Monday night host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” the comedian and activist held a brief tenure on Apple TV+ with his political talk show “The Problem with Jon Stewart,” a platform that skewed more aggressive than his former (and now current) gig. This eventually earned the ire of the studio’s parent company, Apple, which cancelled the show when Stewart refused to agree to censor conversations around artificial intelligence, Israel, and China. He’s also spoken in the past about how certain news networks will keep their anchors from being interviewed by him.
As reported on by Deadline, speaking in an upcoming interview on the podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend,” Stewart went further in his assessment of tech’s toxic influence on entertainment and how,...

Late-night comedy has undergone a dramatic shift in the past few years with the exits of David Letterman, Jon Stewart, and Jay Leno from the late-night desk. Stewart then returned for a weekly election-season slot on his hit-making show, The Daily Show, but only after his show, The Problem With Jon Stewart, was canceled by Apple TV + when he refused to censor his views. We saw the arrival of many fresh faces, turning the late-night wars into a fractured battle waged on many fronts, from TV ratings to YouTube views. Many of those newer names have lost or left their shows, like Trevor Noah left The Daily Show and the loss of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and Desus & Mero.

Lina Khan, the youngest person to chair the powerful Federal Trade Commission, has come down hard on monopolies and anticompetitive behavior, so some business leaders and Wall Streeters are nudging Kamala Harris to dump her if the Democrats win the White House.
Kahn, who became FTC chief in 2021 at age 34, declined to comment on the presidential campaign, but told a New York conference, “I think it’s true that, over decades, enforcement has not always been so vigorous, and so that type of change can be uncomfortable for some people.”
LinkedIn cofounder Reid Hoffman came out publicly against Khan in a CNN interview calling her efforts a “war” on corporations. Barry Diller told CNBC, “I think she’s a dope,” but walked the comment back later.

The Daily Show was named best talk series at the 2024 Emmys on Sunday, winning the category for the second year in a row.
The 2023 Emmys saw The Daily Show win for the final season of Trevor Noah’s tenure as host — and the first time since Jon Stewart left as full-time host in 2015. Stewart is now back as a part-time host of the Comedy Central staple; his prior show, The Problem With Jon Stewart on Apple TV+, was nominated last year as well.
“To have the opportunity to work with this incredibly talented group … once a week, it’s really made my Mondays,” Stewart said in accepting the speech. He also gave props to his fellow hosts Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, Desi Lydic and Jordan Klepper (“they just kick ass”) and showrunner Jen Flanz, who has been with The Daily Show since 1998 and an executive producer for the past 15 years.

Jon Stewart is back winning Emmys.
Stewart, who won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Series, one of the categories previous iterations, for 10 consecutive years between 2003 and 2012 as host of The Daily Show, returned to Emmy winning ways in the Outstanding Talk Series category.
Stewart, who got a kiss from Stephen Colbert on his way to stage, said that the win has “made an old man very happy”.

“I would think it’s an embarrassment to those news organizations,” said Jon Stewart today at the top of his The Weekly Show podcast.
Specifically, he was speaking about NBC and CNN which, he said, “refuse to allow their reporters to come on a podcast (his) to talk about the issues of the day.”
Stewart went on to detail the difficulty the show was having booking pundits from those two networks, saying, “it’s unlike anything I’ve really ever seen.”
Specifically, the once-a-week Daily Show host says that the reporters themselves want to come on the podcast but, when Stewart’s staff have made official requests, the networks “politely decline” without explanation.
“Let that sink in for just a a moment,” he continued, punctuating the irony. “Organizations that rely on access and transparency refuse to allow their reporters to come on podcast to talk about the issues of the day.

The Daily Show and Jon Stewart found themselves in a familiar place Wednesday morning — among the nominees for best variety talk series at the 2024 Emmys. The category may be just as notable, however, for the shows that didn’t make the nominee list.
The Daily Show — which won the talk series Emmy last year for Trevor Noah’s final season as host — will compete against Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night With Seth Meyers and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert for the award at the 2024 Emmys. All four were nominated last year as well, following a change to the Emmy rules that separated host-and-guest-oriented shows from the likes of HBO’s Last Week Tonight, which was moved to (and won) the new scripted variety series category.

If David Zaslav is trying to give Last Week Tonight with John Oliver the Coyote vs. Acme treatment as he’s been accused of doing by the show’s fans, Warner Bros. Discovery will find that any attempt to silence Oliver and his following is more likely to blow up in their face than a bundle of cartoon TNT.
Oliver has never been one to hold his tongue on topics of corporate fuckery, even when it upsets the latest “business daddies” of his many parent companies. Whether it’s AT&T, Warner Media, Discovery Inc. or some unholy combination of the three that’s holding the keys to Oliver’s castle, he has habitually refused to toe the company line when it comes to his political commentary, often mocking his “masters” by name in the process.

Trevor Noah went out with a bang on “The Daily Show.” After seven years behind the anchor desk on the comedy news series, he stepped down at the end of 2022, and then won the 2023 Emmy for Best Variety Talk Series. Did he take the awards mojo with him, or will “Daily Show” prevail again in 2024?
After Noah’s exit the series cycled through a series of celebrity guests. Then the correspondents started taking turns as host. And in February came the return of the man who could be key to the show’s Emmy fortunes: Jon Stewart. When Stewart originally hosted the show from 1999 to 2015, he created an awards dynasty: “The Daily Show” won Best Variety Series 11 times. Then he passed the baton to Noah, but a new dynasty started elsewhere: “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” began its winning streak in 2016 and hasn’t lost the top program award since.

Jon Stewart is opening up about the problem with Apple.
After his current affairs show The Problem with Jon Stewart was canceled in October following two seasons, the Emmy Award winner explained that he “knew we were in trouble.”

He recalled an interview with economist Larry Summers, who asked him if he thought “Apple was somehow gouging, or doing something wrong.” At the time, Stewart responded with an immediate “Yes, of course!”

Jon Stewart continues to open up about his split from Apple after parting ways with the tech giant after hosting two seasons of “The Problem.” Stewart debuted the talk show in 2021 as part of a multi-year first-look deal with Apple. The first season of the show aired episodes every two weeks, while the second season switched to a weekly format. The streamer confirmed last October that Stewart’s program would not return.
“They didn’t censor me, it wasn’t free speech,” Stewart recently said on “The Town” podcast (via Rolling Stone) about the end of his Apple relationship. “When you work for a corporate entity, that’s part of the deal, even at Comedy Central. There was much concern within the late-night community that there would only be three nominations for the Emmys’ Outstanding Talk Series category.
However, this morning as voting for nominations opened, it has emerged that the category will have four nominations thanks to 14 submissions in the category.
This means that the category has only lost one nomination slot from last year, as opposed to two, which was the worry before voting opened.
Last year, The Daily Show, then hosted by Trevor Noah, won the Talk Emmy, beating out Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Problem with Jon Stewart.
Emmy rules suggest that because there were 14 submissions, this is divided by four and rounded up so 3.5 turns into four nominations. Had there been one fewer submission, it would have only been three.

Fleishman Is in Trouble author Taffy Brodesser-Akner is adapting her upcoming book Long Island Compromise for Apple.
Following a multiple-platform bidding war, Apple has landed the rights to develop the dark family drama for television. The drama, which marks a reunion for Brodesser-Akner with Timberman and Grant, is currently in the development stage at Apple. (The iPhone maker and streamer declined to comment.)

We now know at least one problem that “The Problem with Jon Stewart” ran into.
Stewart, hosting “The Daily Show” on Monday (as he now does), had FTC Chair Lina Khan as his guest. It was a conversation he says he wanted to have during his days as an Apple TV+ host. It needed to wait for Comedy Central.
“I wanted to have you on a podcast and Apple asked us not to do it,” Stewart told Khan. “They literally said, ‘Please don’t talk to her.'”
Feels a bit more than “creative differences.”
“I think it just shows one of the dangers of what happens when you concentrate so much power and so much decision making in a small number of companies,” Khan responded to Stewart.
Stewart’s inference was that Apple, which he says “has bought 30 AI models,” did not want him to have an AI conversation...

Jon Stewart made headlines in February when he appeared on “CBS Mornings” ahead of his return to hosting Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” and said that Apple canceled his previous talk show, “The Problem With Jon Stewart,” because “they didn’t want me to say things that might get me in trouble.” On the April 1 episode of “The Daily Show,” Stewart went into greater detail about Apple’s concerns over the direction of his now-axed talk show and corresponding podcast.
Stewart was interviewing Federal Trade Commission chair Lina Khan on “The Daily Show” and told her that he once pitched to have her as a guest on “The Problem” podcast. Considering Khan’s work at the FTC targets tech giants’ monopolistic practices, Apple allegedly did not want Stewart bringing her on the program to presumably talk about such topics.

Last month, the U.S. Justice Department and more than a dozen state attorneys general sued Apple, claiming that the tech giant has an illegal monopoly over the smartphone market and warning that Apple’s monopoly on smartphones could extend to other areas of the economy, including entertainment.
Tonight on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart offered a view into his own tussle with Apple related to his Apple TV+ comedy show The Problem With Jon Stewart.
“I wanted to have you on a podcast and Apple asked us not to do it,” the Daily Show host said to his guest, Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan, referencing the podcast that was an extension of the Apple show, which the tech giant canceled in October.

The last thing TV needs right now is another reboot. So when it was announced in January that Jon Stewart would be returning home to “The Daily Show,” hosting the show on Mondays through the 2024 election and becoming an executive producer full-time on the program, I found myself curious what the response would be from longtime fans.
During his first run as host of the Comedy Central news program (1999-2015) Stewart paved a new kind of infotainment that inarguably shaped how a segment of the population consumed news. In his wake, he was far from the only one. When Stewart got the Mark Twain Prize in 2022, former “Daily Show” correspondent Bee cracked, “Satire solves the world’s problems. Don’t believe me? Just look at all the satirical shows we now have and how amazing the world is doing!”
Does that world still need Jon Stewart? Perhaps more pressing: Is...

Is television dying? It’s a claim Jon Stewart pushed back on during his return to Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.” Taking pre-show questions from the audience, Stewart was confronted with one viewer who asked about TV in the age of social media.
“What do you think about young people getting all of their information and entertainment from social media?” the audience member asked before outright claiming: “TV is dying!”
“Is that true?” Stewart answered back. “You still watch TV but you just watch it on your computer [or phone]. You understand that’s still TV? You’re just watching it on a different delivery service.”
“It’s like, heroin is heroin whether you snort it or shoot it,” Stewart continued. “It’s still an opiate for the masses as is television, you’re just getting it in smaller bites. But it’s still TV. We make it.”

Jon Stewart returned to “The Daily Show” on Monday night for the first time since 2015 with a simple question: “Now where was I?”
The Emmy Award-winning host, whose tenure as “The Daily Show” host dates back a quarter-century, quickly got back into the swing of things by dunking on the 2024 presidential election and the way conservatives have responded to the much-publicized relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. But first, Stewart addressed his decision to come back to Comedy Central for “The Daily Show,” which he’ll host weekly on Mondays through November.
“Why am I back? You may be asking yourself and that’s a very reasonable question. I have committed a lot of crimes from what I understand talk show hosts are granted immunity. It doesn’t make a lot of sense but take it up with the founders,” Stewart joked. He then indirectly referenced his previous gig...

Some 8 1/2 years after leaving his iconic host seat on “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart returns to the Comedy Central staple tonight at 11 p.m. Et/Pt and will remain as host each Monday thereafter through the 2024 Election Cycle. His first guest be Zanny Minton Beddoes, editor-in-chief of The Economist. The debut episode will be simulcast on CMT, Logo, MTV, MTV2, Paramount Network, Pop and TV Land. The every-Monday hosting stint follows in the recent tradition of Rachel Maddow’s similar set-up at MSNBC.

Ahead of his return as host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart stopped by “CBS Mornings” to explain why it was finally time to return to his old job. Stewart hosted the network’s flagship news show from 1999 to 2015. He’ll now be hosting only Monday episodes throughout the 2024 election cycle. Stewart said he needed a platform to speak about the upcoming election, which he no longer had after Apple canceled his talk show last year.

Jon Stewart is heading back to “The Daily Show.”
More than 25 years after starting on the Emmy Award-winning late-night show and nearly nine years after his exit, Stewart will host Monday episodes of “The Daily Show” through the 2024 presidential election. The Emmy Award-winning host will also serve as an executive producer on “The Daily Show” during this run.
“Jon Stewart is the voice of our generation, and we are honored to have him return to Comedy Central’s ‘The Daily Show’ to help us all make sense of the insanity and division roiling the country as we enter the election season,” said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, in a statement. “In our age of staggering hypocrisy and performative politics, Jon is the perfect person to puncture the empty rhetoric and provide much-needed clarity with his brilliant wit.”

The night is always darkest before the dawn (or so they say), and just when it seemed like all hope was lost ... a hero made his dramatic, last-minute return. Okay, today's news isn't quite on the level of Christian Bale's Batman coming out of self-imposed retirement in "The Dark Knight Rises" or a bearded Cap stepping out of the shadows in "Avengers: Infinity War," but we'll take what we can at this point. Jon Stewart, everyone's favorite talk show host and political humorist, is making his grand -- and rather unexpected -- return to hosting duties on "The Daily Show" just in time for the upcoming American presidential election.
The news was announced by President/CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios Chris McCarthy (via The Hollywood Reporter), though with a wrinkle. Rather than returning full-time, Stewart will merely host one episode a week on Mondays while the network cycles...

After an eight-year hiatus, Jon Stewart is set to make a surprising comeback to The Daily Show, where he originally began 25 years ago. Stewart will be hosting the Comedy Central late-night show one night a week throughout the election cycle, and his return follows his impactful tenure that revolutionized late-night TV, fostering talents like Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, Samantha Bee, and Steve Carell. Many have speculated about Jon Stewart’s return to The Daily Show, especially after Apple TV+ canceled his series The Problem with Jon Stewart last year. Stewart will take the show’s prime slot on Monday nights to catch up on weekend news. Other weeknights will feature correspondents like Desi Lydic, Michael Kosta, Ronny Chieng, and Jordan Klepper. Stewart returns on February 12, producing episodes through 2025, reuniting with showrunner Jen Flanz. His return follows clashes with Apple TV+ over his canceled series, allowing him to reclaim The Daily Show.

Comedy Central is reaching back to the past to keep its long-running “The Daily Show” going in the present.
After scuttling a months-long search for a new host, the Paramount Global network said it has enlisted Jon Stewart, who presided over the late-night mainstay’s most popular era, to serve as its host on Monday nights throughout the 2024 election cycle and to run the program. He is expected to play an oversight role at “Daily” that could extend through 2025, and will start his on-air duties February 12. Various “Daily Show” correspondents will host the program Tuesday through Thursday nights, and Jen Flanz, the current executive producer, will continue her duties on the show.

Jon Stewart is returning as the host and executive producer of Comedy Central’s “Daily Show.” Before you get too excited, the assignment is part-time, and the plan is for him to stay on as host through the November 2024 presidential election cycle, and EP at least through 2025.
Stewart will host the program only on Mondays, but executive produce every episode. The other evenings will be hosted by a rotating panel of the show’s “All-Star Correspondents.” If you’re wondering why Stewart is taking the Monday slot, it’s because that’s traditionally the most-watched “Daily Show” episode of the week, and acts as catch up for all the news that’s gone on over the weekend.
Although “The Daily Show” began in 1996 with Craig Kilborn as its host, the show rose in the public consciousness during Stewart’s time hosting from 1999 to 2015. Under Kilborn, the show was mostly irreverent and focused on pop culture.

Trevor Noah’s Final ‘Daily Show’ Season Grabs Variety Talk Series Emmy: “We Got Rid of John Oliver!”

The cast of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” has a bone to pick with the Emmys: They want an award.

“They do. They get dressed up. They give each other awards,” McElhenney said. “And 16 seasons we’ve never even presented before.”

Saturday Night Live and Last Week Tonight With John Oliver each came into Monday’s Emmy Awards on a long winning streak. Thanks to being thrown into a new category together, at least one of those streaks was bound to end.
SNL’s six-year streak fell as Last Week Tonight took home the Emmy in the newly created category of scripted variety series. The category came into being this year thanks to a rule change that grouped Last Week Tonight with sketch comedy shows SNL and A Black Lady Sketch Show. The change moved Last Week Tonight out of the talk show category it has dominated in recent years as the Television Academy decided it is materially different than programs like Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, CBS’ Late Show With Stephen Colbert and NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Can experience generating viral moments on late night TV translate to a political campaign? The Biden-Harris reelection effort is betting that it can.
President Biden’s 2024 campaign operation has hired late night TV veteran Andy Crystal as its research director, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Crystal was most recently lead research producer on the Apple TV+ series The Problem with Jon Stewart, and before that worked as a senior news producer on the Netflix series Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj.
Crystal is expected to combine the traditional campaign research approach with creative tactics like viral videos and investigative reporting meant to cut through the clutter of social platforms, per campaign officials.
It’s a skillset that Jim Margolis, the executive producer and showrunner of Patriot Act, believes will translate well.
“Andy’s vision, vast intellect and passion for finding and reporting important stories drove our most memorable episodes,” Margolis says.

January 11, 1999, 25 years ago to the day, was Jon Stewart’s first night hosting The Daily Show.
The comedian took over from Craig Kilborn, who had hosted the Comedy Central show from July 21, 1996. Stewart’s first guest was Michael J. Fox, promoting Spin City.
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart went on to win the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Series for ten consecutive years between 2003 and 2012, before losing to The Colbert Report, a show that he exec produced, for a couple of years, and then coming back to win in 2015 in his final season.
It’s a run that Last Week Tonight with John Oliver looked like it might replicate with seven wins in the category – then known as Outstanding Variety Talk Series – starting in 2016.

As Oliver covered, these stores are often understaffed to the point of only having one or two employees working at a time – and the employees that do work are underpaid and not given adequate support. One employee detailed how, after an armed robbery of her store, her district manager’s second question was about how soon the employee could reopen the store.
“That is ridiculous. An armed robbery is a traumatic event that people need time to recover from,” Oliver said. “It’s not something you can just ignore like a spam call or a broken lightbulb or any show on Apple TV.”
“Did you know that Octavia Spencer starred as a true crime...

Stephen Colbert Says ‘Apple Has Canceled Jon Stewart Again’ After Telling Chinese Labor Joke (Video)

Stephen Colbert poked fun at his former “Daily Show” bud and late night peer Jon Stewart on Wednesday night, cracking a joke about the recent cancellation of the comedian’s Apple TV+ show.
During the opening monologue for “The Late Show,” Colbert discussed President Joe Biden’s meeting on Wednesday with Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to the New York Times, China’s economy has been struggling in part due to “anemic consumer spending and high youth unemployment.”
“It’s gotten so bad that second graders can’t get a job at the iPhone factory,” Colbert quipped. “And I’m being told that in response to that joke, Apple has canceled Jon Stewart again.”
In October, “The Problem with Jon Stewart” was canceled after two seasons. The shuttering reportedly came down to creative differences that had to do with the series’ coverage of artificial intelligence and China. The controversial topics...

A group of House lawmakers want to know: Was China the reason for Jon Stewart’s exit from Apple TV+?
Stewart’s show, The Problem with Jon Stewart, effectively ended last month when Stewart and his team parted ways amid “creative differences.” Sources told The Hollywood Reporter at the time that “there had been tension between Apple and Stewart ahead of the show’s third season return over topics featured on The Problem.” Among the topics was issues related to China and artificial intelligence.
Now, the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party has sent a letter to Apple and its CEO Tim Cook citing the THR story, and asking whether the tech giant’s long relationship with China was behind the move.
“If these reports are accurate, it potentially speaks to broader concerns about indirect Chinese Communist Party (Ccp) influence over the creative expression of American artists and companies on Ccp-related topics,...

Reps heading a special committee of the U.S. House of Representatives are questioning Apple CEO Tim Cook about whether the tech giant’s decision to cancel Jon Stewart’s Apple TV+ talk show was because the host may have been planning an upcoming episode about China.
“While companies have the right to determine what content is appropriate for their streaming service, the coercive tactics of a foreign power should not be directly or indirectly influencing these determinations,” the leaders of the House of Representatives’ Select Committee on Competition with the Chinese Communist Party (Ccp) wrote in the letter to Cook, released Wednesday.
News that “The Problem With Jon Stewart,” from the former “Daily Show” host, would not return for a third season on Apple TV+ came out in October. Per the New York Times, Stewart told staff members that possible upcoming topics for the show including China and artificial...

Members of a special House committee fired off a letter to Apple, questioning whether the decision to cancel The Problem with Jon Stewart was due to concerns over the company’s relationship with China.
Last month, it was announced that the Apple+ show was ending, and The New York Times reported that Stewart told members of his staff that the company was concerned about some of the show’s topics, including China.
In a letter to CEO Tim Cook, the members of the House of Representatives’ Select Committee on Competition with the Chinese Communist Party wrote, “If these reports are accurate, it potentially speaks to broader concerns about indirect Chinese Communist Party (Ccp) influence over the creative expression of American artists and companies on Ccp-related topics. It also highlights an additional reason, beyond the traditionally-cited national security rationales, why we encourage Apple to accelerate its efforts to reduce its dependence...
