Assassin-In-Training Plot is Killing Killing Eve.
jamericanbeauty6 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Make it stop. Please. It's killing the flow of Killing Eve. Why introduce a new character to the final season? There's enough going on. The Twelve origins and what's their endgame, Who is The Real Carolyn, Who killed Kenny and why, and Eve and Villanelle's obsession-hate-love-hate again-cat and mouse are part intriguing and part thrilling enough. If you were to poll diehard Day 1 Killing Eve fans like myself, I bet almost-all would say the ex-mortician turned assassin-in-training is boring and adds nothing. She's mopey and a drag. The actress playing her lacks the charisma and amazing acting range of Jodie Comer. Villanelle is a dynamic beautiful monster and if the show is trying to make the ex-mortician the New Villanelle, it's an epic fail.

Oh Goodie, I'm the Winner

At long last Villanelle and Eve are once again circling around each other and playing cat and mouse games.

It only took an arrow that made Eve realise that she needs Villanelle but the latter seems to have had enough of Eve.

Carolyn might have been there when the Twelve were created. Now she wants the person who ordered her son to be killed.

At least the Twelve seems to be a decent big bad for season 4. It is a focal point for all the characters.

However the main writers have forgotten that at the centre of it all is Villanelle and Eve.

It only took 6 episodes for the season to really start.

After the first few episodes seeming to drag the hype train, we are finally getting a glimpse into the origin of the 12. Not sure what the point of Konstantin grooming a new killer especially towards the end of this series. Jodie Comer as always steals the show.

Electric

Warning: Spoilers
This was a bomb of an episode, I even enjoyed Pam scenes, which I normally don't. Jodie Comer should win awards for her perfomance especially in the scene where she's killing Helene. That was one of the most electric scenes of this entire series and it drew out dark parts of me I didn't know existed. In short, I had the same turned on expression as Eve did. It was mindblowing how she conveyed so many emotions without any words. I barely noticed Helene in that scene and she was being killed. Those looks between Eve and Villanelle narrated their four-year story in just a few moments. Exceptional performances and great writing. I'm stoked for the last two episodes especially because Eve will have to do some grand gesture or big statement to change Villanelle's mind and I can't wait for Villanelle to finally get that from Eve. Villanelle gave her so many openings in this episode. Eve, baby, use your words.

Finally some action

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is what I have been waiting for this entire season. Villanelle is back at it again, killing, fighting etc. Cannot forget about the newish killer who is still in the early stages of character development. We're learning more about "The Twelve" than ever before. That ending scene with Eve, was it a mistake or did that journal contain some much needed information. WEE SHALL SEE! Excited for the final two episodes!

I doubt this show will have a good ending, but hey atleast eve and villanelle got some scenes together. I hope we get the ending we want, and this show doesn't get ruined.

Mind blowing mixed emotion, reaction and intense between Villanelle and Eve!

My fave episode ever! Best written script and performed by the cast.

Villanelle's look at eve when killing Helene is beyond words, stunning, brilliant acting! What a fantastic performance.

Eve's look when taking care of villanelle also one of the best scene of the entire series.

I am blown away, blown away!

Disappointing

Warning: Spoilers
We were looking firward to the fourth season. Started watching it with high expectations. We were so confused with what they dis with the characters that we stopped to check whether we missed an episode or so.

The star of the show, Villanelle fades away, gets so little screen time, suddenly Eve becomes a wanna be badass who is also an colossal idiot, the new characters are so weird that one cannot form an attachment so on and so forth. What happened to the fun show with interesting characters, do the writers hate Villanelle's character so much that they opened the season with an unbelievably stupid episode, stole her thunder?

Eve and Villanelle were the core of this series. They made Nelle a ghost who shows up occasionally and they made Eve the least likable character in the show.

We are genuinely disappointed.

[5.2] The glorious human body

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 6: A better episode than the previous one with unforgivable and unforgettable Villanelle's actions, some interesting vibe & flow, one-half crazy laugh

with still too many characters lurking around (for a final season) and a sad sense of safety and destruction at the same time for main and side characters up until the intensely lame ending. That was an artificial draw.

Also, the music score decibel is definitely too loud and ruins each scene, desperately trying to turn the volume down.
