Fairly Downbeat...
derek-duerden3 August 2022
... given the topic, but it is mostly well-handled by the young cast and raises some interesting philosophical points about life plans, transitions to adulthood and so forth.

Quite French (especially in that everyone smokes *all* the time..) but it also had me in mind of a typical Enid Blyton scenario where the parents are nowhere to be seen while the teenagers wrestle with these life challenges.

Worth a look.

A very nice sensitive piece about grief ...
... and a group of 18-year-olds dealing with that in their own separate ways.

At times meandering and seemingly rudderless ...

The acting from all involved pretty good; it seems subplots or multidimensionality of tales would have added to this film here.

But maybe it simply wanted to deal with this particular issue and never stray.

It does this pretty well; it has originality, one could never say they have seen this film before elsewhere so that in itself is an achievement.
