A Real Tony Finelli Says...
tfinelli23 January 2022
The Finelli's Movie is everything I've always wanted to see in a comedy musical, but never have, until I saw this gem. I'm certain if this feature was played in a theater packed full of an unsuspecting American audience, I wouldn't be able to hear a damn thing, during the short-lived non-comedic riffs, because the chuckles and bursts of spontaneous laughter would drown out the sound coming from the screen., similar to my experience watching the Naked Gun and South Park: The Musical in the theaters back in the day.

While Mark's multi-talent is uncompromising and obvious from the first scene, I must give a tip of the hat to Timo's filthy mouth and Tony's enabler-in-chief, similar to Jeff Garlin's role to Larry David on "Curb," but much dirtier. And I love it. There's never been a stand-alone feature film like this, and there never will be again. With the exception of parts 2 and 3 in a trilogy of Finelli escapades I can only hope Mark creates for us all to enjoy. Please, America, catch up with The Finelli's. It's time we start appreciating something totally unique to a Western Europe audience. Just admit it. They're much more sophisticated than us knuckle-draggers anyway. The Finelli's Movie is proof of this. Grade A.

a sort of a masterpiece

We were blown away by the Finellis because this is exactly the sort of comedy including very good music, unexpected twists, and a kind of humor which is rare in its inherent intelligence.

Reminded me in some scenes of "The nanny" which is one of our favorites.

A must see!

Wacky, wondrous family drama. A touching true ish story about a cross dressing Italian hoodlum from New York.

Refreshing to see the campy side of the Italian underworld. There's more to these people than Calzones and Lin.

CAN WE GET MORE?

A lively mix, from a lot of comedy with always great depth and very touching scenes that make you think, great music and comic. The film is very entertaining, fast scene changes but still well told story. Great cast with an outstanding lead actor Mark Janicello, who not only plays the main role and also enlivens the film with his wonderful voice, but to whom we also owe the idea for the film and the script. The film makes you want more......es are still many questions open at the end, for example, what happens next with Tina and Toni, do they find each other or do they just become friends...questions about questions!!!!! We hope for answers in a sequel!!!!!

Different to all i have ever seen ...

Comedy meets drama, musical and comic. Not possible? Yes it can! 93 minutes of roller coaster rides for the emotions. One moment a belly ache from laughing, the next moment tears in your eyes. The charm with which is led through the story is enchanting and unique. The cast is convincing with great acting joy, each character is caricatured to the point. Outstanding is Mark Janicello, who knows how to present each of his talents. The film delivered more than it promised in every respect. For me an absolute highlight with "I WOULD LIKE MORE OF IT" FACTOR.

A funny, unique romp that brightened my day
contact-9041227 January 2022
"The Finellis Movie" is a joyous romp, with a colorful cast of unforgettable characters, a mind-blowing storyline and fantastic music

Mark Janicello is both the comedic glue and the beating heart that holds this story together. Like a singing Rocky Balboa, he takes the beating life gives him but keeps standing back up to fight for his dreams. Janicello is ably aided and abetted by Timo Merkhoffer as his hilarious, foul-mouthed womanizer of a manager, and as his Russian Ex-wife Bianca Karsten is the perfect comic foil.

The rest of the cast is uniformly good. A special mention must be made for Kim Tatum as the Transgender Nightclub owner, Eva Gutierrez. The sequence with Janicello and Tatum is an unexpected twist in storytelling that proves "The Finellis " has more on its mind than just the 90-minutes of belly laughs it so ably delivers.

5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Sweet story with lots of witty one-liners
nonnyn6 February 2022
I found out about this movie through a recommendation and must say that it was a fun watch. Overall a sweet story, with lots of witty one-liners. Each character brought something different to the table and were all lovable in their own ways, well, except the Mrs... until the end. Worth watching. 10/10.
