I gave it 4/10 purely based on the audio visual parameters. From an historical and factual pov it's a 0/10 . Same old blind sympathizing act towards your perpetrators. I would have enjoyed it if this show actually portrayed what Babur did to the people whome he ruled , What his preachings actually were along with the obvious gagging celebratory scenes of him doing something heinous and us clapping. But yeah ... Guess that's bollywood eh . Can't expect more 😅

Pls dont go on the negative reviews as they are totally baseless Don't watch this series with grudges or racism in mind this is just a fiction and based on the novel empire of the Moghul
The series is made in a very extravagance like Hollywood series..we should be proud that a Indian film maker has attempt this huge venture
It is made in a very colourful mode and the props used are extraordinary.. the direction is also good with great star cast specially dino who gave a good come back..
In 3/4 episodes the story gets stucked and gets a little slow but then the pace gets picked up and comes to a conclusive climax..little edits was necessary..background scores were up to required standards
You will see a huge colourful bonanza on your screen.

First of all, know this well, all the reviews written are mostly based on hate speech, which is wrong on all accounts. Get a life you people, seriously.
The 8 Episode series is based on the life of Babur, an emperor and his hardships that were faced achieving all.
Kunal Kapoor has carried out wonderfully, Shabana Azmi, the legend, showing why she is called the same. Drashti Dhami was also very good in her role. Dino Morea, well he is fairly good, but perhaps he was copying too much of Ranveer Singh played character.
A good budgeted series, with good direction and work. A good watch.
There will be arguments on change in the history but it was nevertheless the same and Nikkhil Advani has done a good job.

Watch a series or a movie without hatred and racism and you'll enjoy, specially it has been made in a very good way, specially for indian makers, Indian should be proud of it and also in this series there is no where related to hindus or Muslims or showing mughal as great! It's a struggle story of babar and also the things happen bcz of throne! It's a story muslim against and also against muslim in India also.... No need to be triggered, whoever hate this they are just fools..

Well, let me begin by saying I started watching this series with zero expectations. Given the really low opinion everyone else here has, it was really a chance I took to start watching. And boy! Was I blown away! I have yet to see an indian series with such production values. The story is fictional of course. Based on Alex Rutherford's book by the sane name, this work of fiction is just that! It's great fun to watch. The charatcers are all well etched. I was pleasently surprised by Dino Morea's acting. Also worth mentioning is Drashti Dhami. She brings grace and beauty to her role.
I'm definitely going to be waiting for Season 2!

Don't know why this show got such low ratings, it's a brilliant experiment done by the creators and in my opinion it succeeded in many way. Be it set design, costume, camera work or the drama everything worked perfectly for me. There are some scenes which were presented in such a Beautiful way. E.g. In episode 5 where Babur and Khanzada Begum met after years, that moment was visually so good looking. Everyone acted nicely, l loved Dino Morea, Drashti Dhami & Shabana Azmi the most.
Many were saying that it didn't show the Babur Horror during his 5 years in India, that's totally director's choice. We have nothing to do here. Here, Director choose to adapt the early life of Babur by following the novel, 'Empire of the Moghul.' Lastly, I loved this series, I even can say that it's one of the best Indian Web series in recent times. I'll wait for the next seasons. A Brilliant Political War Drama.

Hey Guys, don't believe the ratings(it's 3.9 while I'm writing this). Don't know what's wrong with the people possibly they didn't watch it or couldn't understand it all. So, what's good in there, I think the greatest take away is, it will take you back in that era and wanting for more and more. Shabana Azmi and drishti performances were top notch, Rahul Dev was brilliant as wazir khan reminded me of Jorah mormont of GoT. Kunal justified his presence as emperor.
Things I expected could've been better, the opening theme, not shown babur other battles in India with Rana Sanga and Medini Rai. Qasim, I feel was little irritating as his diction didn't match with others. Overall, it's a good show that you won't regret watching.
Honorable mention: Aayam Mehta as aitbaar.

Below expectation not up to the mark
all though quality was good actor was good but story was weak and they were totally gloryfing him that was totally different from the history that my teacher taught me so don't waste your time in this 8 episodes.

I have really enjoyed it, quite impressive to, acting is awesome without doubt from all the casting of this show; i must appreciate how much creators focused on the details in this series whether it's jewellery, costumes, setup, weapons, weapon techniques and focusing on era during shoot. Those who have watched turkish historical drama they can easily co-relate. Watch it without prejudice, you gonna feel it.

From Uzbekistan to Afghanistan to india .. from Fergana to Samarkand to Kabul and then to Delhi, his final destination. He was faced with defeats but that never let him down. The series fails to depict the account of his days as an emperor in india...the story is embroidered with superficial and somewhat repetitive components that makes this more of an entertainment rather than a docudrama... Exemplary direction, breathtaking cinematography, awe-inspiring sound design, production design, art and costumes and overall good performances.. however, poor VFX, Kunal Kapoor falls little short with some urun-of-the-mill performance in the initial episodes, Shabana Azmi and Rahul Dev are right choices for the roles, Drashti Dhyani shines, Dino surprises mostly in a good way (except some overplayed) Great watch though.
