It's very easy to sympathise with Harry here:Kate and especially Toadie just come across as self-righteous.The characterisation of Steph is all over the place, she tells Toadie she doesn't want people being kind to her then treats Harry as the enemy for being nasty to her. It's almost like you're damned either way. It's a shame Steph and Harry's interaction seems to be a case of "whoever shouted last is the one in the right" when there's room for give and take on both sides.
Not so easy to sympathise with Declan.Having him go for lunch at the exact same time that Steph's taking part in the pregnancy celebrations is ridiculously contrived. The characterisation of Paul is a bit strange as well with the writers apparently convinced he's never looked after a baby before.(Even more strange given that his son is apparently coming back.)
Karl becomes the latest person to get a job at the Erinsborough News without having any journalistic credentials, although having him as a medical expert does at least make sense.Too soon to tell whether pairing him and Paul up is going to be a success or not.Nice interaction between him and Kate who seems to be integrating into the show well.
