Up until recently I worked the night shift in a hotel, so I know how creepy it can feel at times, especially when you’re getting used to the place with all of the building’s odd little noises and quirks. That’s the position Gwen finds herself in.
Recently moved into the area and in need of money, she’s answered an ad for a temporary overnight position at the All Tucked Inn. The owner Teddy, who seems to be making his story up as he goes along, tells her the woman who regularly does the job has been sidelined with medical issues. He’d love to stay and help, but he has a date. But there’s nothing to worry about, this is a quiet, peaceful place where nothing ever happens.

"We're all just men. We're not invincible, just trying to walk a line between courage and fear." Saban Films has unveiled a new US trailer for the Australian crime thriller called Transfusion, marking the feature directorial debut of Matt Nable. It's now arriving in the US in March this year, after first playing in Australia earlier in January. A former Special Forces is operative thrust into the criminal underworld to keep his only son from being taken from him. In between performing his roles in the Avatar sequels for James Cameron, which were filmed in New Zealand, Sam Worthington took on this role. He plays a father suffering from Ptsd and without identity after retiring from the Special Air Service regiment (Sas) of the Australian Army. The thriller also features Phoebe Tonkin, Edward Friday Carmody, Matt Nable, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, and Sam Cotton. It looks pretty generic overall, though there might be some good performances.

Stan has announced a slew of new local commissions as it ramps up ambitious plans to have around a third of its first-run slate come from original production.
These include Hoodlum Entertainment feature film Christmas on the Farm, Matchbox Pictures drama Bad Behaviour, and a number of projects with Roadshow Rough Diamond, with whom the Nine-owned streamer has extended its partnership. With the latter it is readying a third season of Bump and a spin-off, Year Of, as well as a Gregor Jordan-helmed crime drama, Ironside.
Last year, Stan flagged it intends to invest in more than 30 productions per year within five years, drawing on Nine’s production facilities and co-productions with international partners including Hollywood studios and international networks.
Earlier this month, the service announced a children’s feature film initiative with the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (Actf), and it has a lengthy list of upcoming local projects...
