• Blood spatter appears in-game when attacking enemies, some of which will stain the player character's clothes. Blood spatter can be disabled for gameplay in the settings, although it will still appear in some cutscenes.

• This is the first Final Fantasy game to contain an uncensored F-bomb, it is said by Jack, where he says to Lich that he "Doesn't give a fuck" about who he is. The trailer version of the quote toned this down to "Damn" but it serves the same effect otherwise.
