Amazing show
Crimsonarmor13 April 2022
I thought I was going to watch Megan Fox's til death but it turned out to be something completely different. And I have to admit that I was very impressed. I've never seen a Lebanese TV series before but this was incredible. The plot was quite straightforward but Very well acted, great locations, local culture and dialogue exchanges. The tension is well maintained with some good twists. Everyone really brings their characters to life. Not to mention a Gorgeous cast. The subs for me move quickly but I can get the gist of what's going on. The scenes are visually appealing and I hope Netflix picks this up because people need to see this. There's a lot of TV shows from Japan and Korea Netflix is picking up. They need to get this one of they haven't already.

Lebanese beauty ....story and actors...
grhgeneric5 February 2023
As American to me to Lebanon several times, it one can't help but be struck by the beauty of it's people and love of life, in spite of the circumstances. This is true-life story of the wealthy, the poor, the governmental problems and Lebanese people's hope of getting me the most out of life in spite if it's corrupt government. The two seasons are about two girls that grow up as strong women trying to out live their desperate origins. The story demonstrates how difficult it is to simply earn a living and provide for their families and the corrupt who do anything to rise above the property. Acting, clothing and scenes are masterful. A little redundant in parts but overall a winner with actors who could give the Americans lessons.

Slow and depressing
rigo22221 July 2022
The storyline is good. But because it's a Ramadan show (it needs to last for the 30 days of Ramadan), the pace is slow and the story is stretched to the max. All the actors speak in a soft manner all the time, which makes you want to fall asleep. Too melodramatic!! Violins throughout the 30ish hours of it!!

There's A LOT of smoking, all the time. It's disgusting how much every character smokes. And it's not particularly useful for the story of the characters identities. Mix of Lebanese and Syrian accent, which just makes it weird. Anyone watching this thinking this is a realistic depiction of Lebanese society, it's not! Maybe 60% accurate, not more.

Good aspects: 2 strong leading female roles and some minor female roles that are strong too. The visuals are beautiful and the camera angles are well thought. The colour themes and the decors are stunning.

Marvellous Lel Maout

I highly recommend this series. Do not be put off by subtitles or you will regret missing a first class quality storyline and acting. It is a bit of a slow burn at the start but it really does heat up. Fantastic acting, great storyline with lots of unforseen moments. Its like a spiders web where everything is linked.

This show is outstanding!

I can't even begin to put into words how amazing this show is. Please, if you do not understand Arabic, use subtitles!! I would hate for anyone to miss out on such a great show just because they don't comprehend the language. The subtitles are spot on.

Asides from that, this show has you on the edge of your seat the whole time. A must watch, 100% recommend. 10/10.

Glamour, luxe and true love
kateroselove5 December 2022
Wow. This show is glamorous and luxe, and absolutely stunning in every way. I JUST LOVE the acting. High quality storyline, intriguing plot, and beautiful cast. It manages to weave hard-hitting storylines about the realities of Lebanon into a thrilling and unusual drama. The juxtaposition of rich and poor is astounding. Most of all, it is a portrayal of true love, and the truth of life that you can't choose who you love. The Arabs have a saying, "the heart wants what it wants". No matter what.

The two female leads, Reem and Sahar, complement each other amazingly and are played by incredibly talented actresses. Just a treat to watch, and the male lead, Hadi, has the most loving, heart-wrenching eyes you could ever imagine.

I will say that you have to watch season 2, it is more gritty and the plot gets very dark and twisted. It is worth seeing how the story weaves together and unravels. The story is passionate, tragic, intense, and speaks of great love, loyalty, war, betrayal and revenge.it is deeply human and speaks to the stories buried within all of our psyches.

PURE BRILLIANCE
ashdodlodakko-617671 November 2022
Powerful Performances by the Leads Maguy Bou and Daniella Rahme. It's my first watch of an entire season of a Lebanese Series as I am from India . I fell in love with both female leads ...I was able to see their light shining through despite the darkness their characters Reem and Sahar have to display . As a woman watcher.... I was SO MOVED by their passionate acting skills... I actually found myself kissing their foreheads on screen in the last episode to empathize because Maguy and Daniella were believable.. convincing ...they felt so real . I WISH TO THANK THE ENTIRE TEAM ...on and off screen SCRIPT WRITERS CAST SELECTORS PRODUCERS DIRECTORS EDITORS ALL ACTORS for composing a Masterpiece filled with a cast who remain power houses of talent each in their own league. I was so hungry and thirsty for a good story ...TILL DEATH exceeded my expectations and turned out to be a spiritually soul-searching series about love and loss, forgiveness and repentance, family....friends and enemies. It also takes betrayal to an entirely new level, but I believe our sad world is indeed filled with wolves in sheep's clothing. TILL DEATH makes you expect the best.. but prepares you for the worst. I was at the edge of my seat in suspense during so many scenes and could never guess what would happen next. I AM A FAN NOW OF THE ENTIRE CAST...I PLAN TO WATCH THEM AND LOOK FOR THEM NOW IN OTHER LEBANESE SERIES....the STARS both positive and negative roles, played their parts perfectly with legends of Lebanese Cinema in it too . I VOTE .. TILL DEATH THE BEST FOREIGN SERIES I WATCHED THIS YEAR 2022. Please allow India to see Season 2. On Netflix. Beebbik kittir MAGUY AND DANIELLA my sisters !!! Masalama Au Revoir Thinking now to the characters of Reem Sahar, Hadi, Basel, Najah, Omar, Sariah & Her Husband, Amir, Darling Hanane & Darling Abdallah, Mahmoud with his parents, Lamees Rasheed , Mona..and Little Khouloud as I LEARNT SO MUCH FROM THEM. I can still hear the VIOLINS play in my mind...Je t'aime..Je t'aime. .all of you. Much love and prayers from India. GOD be with you all. We are One Love...One Family. Ameen.

Worth watching
tildamutara16 December 2022
Till death is my best watch in 2022. Season 1 was perfect, season 2 not sure about it. I just don't like how Reem is too slow, Sahar on the other hand is what we call a genius, a real hustler. I liked the language and plot. I highly recommend it for anyone who loved love and its upside. The actors really gave their all, you will really hate some and like some but that's proof that they slayed their roles. The suspense is something else, you keep wondering what is going to happen next and you will keep watching. I really hope there will be season 3 even though I am still watching season 2. I am on episode 11.

Pretty Good Drama
geewhiz4619 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I have watched seasons one and two of this series - and both of them were consistently good.

The story and characters are strong - three street urchins grow up in poverty together - Reem - Sahar and Omar.

The girls when they are grown up go into the marry a rich man business - divorce him by using the other girl to seduce him - and then take him for as much money as they can. They are not breaking any laws.

However - when Reem falls in love with Hadi - the rot sets in and the deaths begin.

The scenes between the three scam artists work well and are interesting - it is the village scenes that let this drama down.

To my mind they were simply filler to stretch the story for thirty episodes. They were a mixture of the good the bad and the ugly.

Some characters are so despicable that you really struggle to tolerate them. There are too many to list.

One who deserves a mention (for all the wrong reasons) is the street child Khaloud - adopted by Abdallah - the grocery shop owner - and his wife Hanane. She is cheeky - disloyal - and ungrateful. She bites the hands that feed her - and yet she is never punished in any way. The actress was dreadful - she overacted every scene she was in.

There is some extreme violence in this series - and some extremely obvious history repeating itself scenes - not to mention the fact that it doesn't hesitate to rip off another film featuring two women friends which was why it misses out on a higher rating for me.

Love it absolutely hooked
bsislam9 March 2024
Loving this show I'm hooked thank god for subtitles.

Love big Hadi. The main characters are all so good looking makes for easy watching after a hard day at work.

Loving the scenery they've shown so far makes you want to fly out tomorrow to see for myself. Can see the writers have kept themes showing the struggles the country face as a side story.

Obviously some of it is a little far fetched but it's definitely not put me off watching it.

The show is full of more twists and turns than our scottish country roads built on whiskey hangovers

I'm hoping for another season or 2 full of more twists and turns... Keeping the drama all on the screen where it belongs.

Series 1 amazing Series 2 different genre
bqtjtgdzc12 May 2023
Totally enjoyed the sentiments and story of Series 1. Settled back to watch the second series and I am now into a gangster series - slow, no plot, too many superfluous characters who can't act, wooden emotions by main cast and quite frankly wondering if I can go on any more. Am on episode 4. The cliff hanger at the end had me looking forward to this but seems like Lebanon is full of beautiful men surrounded by the prostitutes they would rather love than the other beautiful women around them. Can't see the reason for the attraction because the story never gave it to me. You kill my mother and I will still love you - really?

Too slow
susantos-8478920 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Honestly I watched season 1 and was so attracted to the love story that I wanted to know morre and more and when season 2 came out I has high expectations. It's just way too slow. I don't even know why they're making a season 3 cause it's plain boring in the end. Too slow, too predictable and the romance was totally lost making it a complete waste of time. You never really get any answers and it's just keeps piling. After 60 episodes you still don't see Wejdan and Hady together, so if you're here for the romance just save your precious time.

I can't believe I spent so much time watching it. I just scrolled through some of the episodes because there's so much music scenes and smoking scenes and it's always someone called someone who called someone. Ends up being a complete waste of time.

Season 2 is not worth watching
mlea-5944120 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Season 2 doesnt come near as good as season 1. Hadi was so charming and tolerant acts now like psycopath and a assassin. Reem depressing behavior doubled up this season. Sahar acts like if she is the queen if south or something. Omar is just the most dumb person in the serie. The old newlywed acts like teenagers. Disgusting on screen. Lamees is as always sweet but naive. Rasheed always grumpy. Amine and his crazy wife still acting low life.

But how did hadi a succesfull bussinesman becaome a gangster? They are all just knocking on everyones door without any real dialogue. But just threaths and playing big. Big words with noactions.

Silly women hung up on their old life, blind to love
amazononly-805617 January 2023
The characters are beautiful but it becomes depressing when the film is stretched and not much being accomplished. These two women so blinded and hung up on their past that they fail to give themselves a chance to love and be loved. Good men lie in their paths and yet they fail to accept change.

Felt sorry also for my old friend who nearly died waiting to be loved back and when he finally was loved so many interruptions making it impossible to be alone with his wife.

Reem is stupid, Sahar is a total mess and I only believed she loved back that guy because he was dying and would leave her riches. #annoyed.

Season 2 AWFUL
bujarandmagida2 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Season 1 was AMAZING 10/10 but season 2 was slow, boring, redundant and cringey. Sahar is hard to watch and everything is either incredibly predictable or just overly lame and ridiculous. Hadi is not the same character he was in season 1. He has changed drastically and has become naive and gullibale which does not make sense for his character at all. They really shoild have ended the show at season 1. Now season 3 is coming?? Cannot imagine how lame that one will be. Unless they bring hadi's Character back to how interesting he was in season 1, there is no longer an interesting story to this show.
