Have you ever seen the s**t influencers pull? They're all obnoxious and conceited. This episode just takes that idea and dials it up. And yeah, it reads as cheesy. But that's the whole point.

It's Supposed to be Obnoxious

Okay, I hated the first three episodes, but I sort of enjoyed this one. Of course the acting and the plot is extremely horrible. Of course this is the internet at its worst. That's the point though! It's satirical.
Charles Melton remains hot, no homo.

Hopefully Ryan gets out of this funk for AHS 10

I feel like the cringe dialogue was necessary for the material of the episode. Definitely attempt at social commentary and a dig at 'internet influencer' culture. The second half was surprisingly gripping but the first half felt way longer than it actually was. Second hand embarrassment throughout the entire episode.
This was unbearable

Close to black mirror this one is taking a stand about social network... what people and specifically young ones are doing in the followers hunt.... Pitiful craving for attention ...
The dark humour on that one is pretty good.
I supposed those who didim't like it were into the follower type...

If the people who hated this highly entertaining episode are sore because they like the people being lampooned?
Only reason not to enjoy seeing the dregs of the Internet get killed by Danny trejo is if you enjoy this stuff or wish you could've been these people in the day.
It's horror, it's meant to be fun and this was.

Satirical...

Anyone giving this a 1 needs to take their head for a wobble. Was it the greatest ever Ryan Murphy episode... absolutely not. But it summed up a growing desire to become an "influencer" and "online presence". The santa character is also very interesting without taking a deep dive in to the clearance needed to be a santa and the types of people it attracts.
None of the stories episodes have been a patch of the usual series. But with less time to attack the lore of each, I think its been well throughtout.

Okay so, yes. The episode was awful. It was supposed to be awful. I love the satirical jabs at YouTubers. I loved the fact that I hated the characters, because you just KNOW they're getting offed later.
It has got to be tricky going from a season-long storyline to a condensed, 38 minute episode. I found myself wondering when the carnage was going to ensue. When the characters are that loathsome, the payoff is usually fantastic. This fell slightly short in that respect. This was partly due to the acting, partly due to time management, I think.
My boyfriend pointed out that the rudest boy in the house was like a version of Logan Paul. I did not know who Logan Paul was while watching the episode, but received a brief education.
THANK YOU, Ryan Murphy! THANK YOU, Brad Falchuk! THANK YOU, Manny Coto! Thank you for making a statement about idiots like this and how people in social media worship them. They worship the stupid. They worship horrible people like Logan Paul, who would disrespectfully exploit someone's death for viewership.
I wish the payoff was greater. I love that blondie's head was at the top of the Christmas tree at the end, but he should have been last, and some suffering might have been okay too.

For the love of god don't watch this

That was without a doubt the worst thing I have ever seen. It made no sense, the plot was just awful. Danny Trejo deserves better than that. No one should watch this. The first two episodes were awesome. I am regretting ever being excited about this. If this is any indication on how the new season is going to be, I will not expect anything good. I mean my god this was just horrible. If I could give it a zero rating I would. God damn it was so bad. Watch Evil instead. Whoever says this episode is good clearly has been living under a rock their entire life or they know someone or are affiliated with the show to get viewers.
SO Bad
lockewasalwaysbest30 July 2021
I get what they were trying to do with this. I do. It's social commentary and there's even a nod to how they're too old to be doing this (not just the characters but the writers). But this was really just boring and predictable. Poor Danny Trejo is so much better than this. And I'm pretty sure that most fans of the AHS franchise don't much care about Logan Paul or Pewdiepie making problematic videos when the whole franchise is intensely graphic about problematic issues. SMH I had hope with episode 3 but this was not the Christmas in July present I would have liked.
Wow, in a bad way

I thought episode 3 was bad. This is just god awful.
They go out of their way to make the influencers unlikable - but there's so much of their content in the show, it feels that the "horror" of the mall Santa killer is shoved in at the end.
You don't care about what happens to the characters. Obviously its commentary about influencer culture but this was just cringeworthy.
Whilst the idea of a new story each week seemed great in theory, it's certainly been poorly executed. You'd be best to use your time to watch your fave AHS episode (or watch paint dry... grass grow... literally anything else).

Funny and gory satire

The characters are despicable and it satirizes "bro culture" ( toxic masculinity) well!
I agree with other reviewers that it reminds me of Creepshow as opposed to the AHS series, which I liked! Unfortunately some reviewers don't understand satire.

This was funny cuz I DESPISE tik tokkers
jfarnham-833601 August 2021
This was like making fun of all the idiotic tik tokkers like the "sway house" and "hype house" and I can't stand any of them irl so I actually enjoyed watching Danny Trejo take out these nimrods in the show because it's pretty spot on 2 how these idiots act in real life!! So I found it HILARIOUS.
Pretty good.
jhedgepeth3-40-71996629 July 2021
Honestly, I thought this was pretty good, probably the best so far. The main characters are insufferable which makes their fate all the more satisfying. And the outlandish, over the top bros are actually pretty representative of real life bros. And despite the absurdity of it all, it had the most realism of all the episodes so far. Sure, the bros are disconnected from reality, but that's bc theyre bros, not bc theyre written as such.
I hate it so much but in some ways it's accurate

Warning: Spoilers
I literally hate everything about "The Bro house" but sadly it is shockingly similar to things that actually exist in our modern world it is not even funny. I'm reminded of the likes of Jake and Logan Paul, mixed with jersey shore, and love island. The only thing positive about this episode at all is danny Trejo killing the people who run the bro house. But it is definitely a reminder of the things our society fuels and finds as entertainment. Thank god at least in the show they all die.
Absolute Trash
acc-4137829 July 2021
So I have come to the conclusion that I won't be watching this garbage anymore. The idea is great; the execution not so much. It seems like this entire series was written by a drug addict hard up for cash. There's no cohesion in the episodes. Half of the plot points are thrown away as soon as they're introduces. It's literal garbage.
