A hidden gem!

As a film lover and a person that grew up in the Balkans during the '90s, this TV show is a marvelous achievement in storytelling and cinematography.

The 90's story very well describes the pain and the agony that Kosovars went through, without being cheesy propaganda like most Balkan films do.

I loved the transitions from the 90's tough life to the present times. The similarities between characters from different periods of time are very interesting, and the story overall is complex but very enjoyable.

Each episode has beautiful shots, and each episode is directed with care and commitment.

Even though it's a dark and sometimes disturbing TV show, I'd highly recommend you check this one out. And when you do, just give it some time, the story goes down the rabbit hole and pulls you in, in a wonderful journey.

10/10.

Amazing series

By far the best series produced by Kosovo film industry. The plotline/script is based on fictional scenario that seems so real on current events in Kosovo. Well played by the crew and cast.

Few flaws nonetheless good

Warning: Spoilers
The acting of the main characters was very good especially Rrushe's ( doresa rexha) who doesn't let you feel like she's a fictional character but a most realistic person. Mentor (shkumbin istrefi) was also very convincing. The best out of all (personal opinion) was Muse Lahu ( Ermal Sadiku) from the first second to the last where we graces the screen it was nothing but splendid. Also they did a great with the casting of an old and young version of Faruk Pirulli the younger actor was great at portraying an impulsive and scared man. The older actor was great at being the older more rueful and now in his old age suffering man.

The story is a fairly decent and realistic one. Traitors surviving and innocent men who sacrificed a lot dying or "disappearing" is something Albanians who grew up in the 90s as adults or teenagers can sing a thousand songs about.

Nevertheless it had some flaws. For example the for my taste way too early killing of Arben Rama or logical inconsistencies like Inspector Temaj raiding houses without any warrants or arresting Agim Pirulli and stating that he's committed multiple murders even though he was merely a suspect. Another weak spot in the writing was Berat Hoti recovering really fast for a gun wound. The already deceased friend of Armend being All the time with him was also a weak choice from my side. Especially the side plot with his friends mother was not necessary I thought. Armend could have been used much more in the main plot. We rarely see him interact or have a bond with his sisters, parents, uncle or grandpa. All we see of him are scenes at similar places with his old friend who's merely his imagination. Luckily they added the character Sarah and made Armends life somewhat more interesting and finally we see him develop a relationship with somebody. Last but not least the two most terrible things in this series and the reason why I couldn't give it a 9 are the terrifyingly horrible acting of inspector temaj and the cinematography.

Everything said I am sure that this series will pave the way for more great Albanian art coming in the future.
