Do these writers do any research?

I like this show, but the depiction of Omaha and Nebraskans in this episode is ridiculous. We don't speak with Southern accents. Omaha is not a farm town - it's a CITY. We don't eat nothing but chicken fried steak and pork rinds (gross). For crying out loud, Omaha is the home of OMAHA STEAKS! We're not a bunch of hicks and good ol' boys "looking out for our own." We don't assume that every black man we encounter must be a football player that girls scream at and beg for autographs. And MMA is not a huge sport here. Good grief. TV writers need to do their homework before they try to depict a place they've clearly never been to and know absolutely nothing about. Bad form, Leverage. Bad form.

    Nebraskans Aren't Stupid Hicks

I hated this episode for one reason: they made people from Omaha look like stupid hicks. One line in particular was so condescending that I almost puked. Eliot said something like, "The farms are drying up and Omaha is nothing but strip joints and pawn shops. these boys have nothing else to do." Give me a break! Have you been to Omaha? I don't think the writers of an otherwise outstanding show have ever set foot in the middle of the country. Get out of LA for once and then you'll see that Nebraskans aren't idiots. They also don't have southern accents. Next time you want to produce a show that takes place other than LA, NY, or Boston, perhaps you should check out the location first.

    OMAHA!!!!

I think what they did for Nebraska in this episode should be rewarded mightily. As a matter of fact, they probably oversold how smart & wealthy people of Nebraska are. Ever heard of Larry The Cable Guy? That "N" wrapped around his neck doesn't stand for "neurosurgeon", folks. Shockingly, I'm sure, it stands for Nebraska. They are amazing people. Look at Warren Buffet. Or is it "Booooofaaaaay"? I think it's Buffet, just like the incredibly tasty breakfasts at the Holiday Inns across the world - well, at least on this continent.

    Thx,

Mr. Omaha, 2012 Stuart A. Absents

Not a Lincoln or Omaha I've ever known

Episode must be from an alternative timeline. Omaha has a population over 475,000 and Lincoln's pop is around 283,000. Neither is a struggling little town. Also football, not wrestling, is king. I think this episode's inaccuracies irreparablely tarnish it At least for people who have lived there at some point.

It's Hollywood Folks, not Michelin or Zagot's

    This is more a review of the reviews;

Being from the South and all the dumb hick expectations most folks have of the South as compared to reality is something I am well aware of. Get over it! Unless it fits you and that's why your panties are in a wad.

The show is what is supposed to be rated here. As a Leverage fan, I say it was good as most. Not necessarily believable, but I watch for the entertainment not reality.

As far as requiring 600 character reviews for a sitcom that is like most out of Hollywood; Wash, Rinse, Repeat. Money, Time or lack of it because of so many channels require so many shows it is very hard to get something truly new.

This episode takes place in Nebraska; however, the GPS on Hardison's cell phone shows the target heading towards I-20 despite the fact that I-20 does not run through Nebraska nor any neighboring state.

Eliot Spencer: [on the mat getting pummeled]

Sophie Devereaux: You drugged him, didn't you?

Jed Rucker: What makes you think I would trust a bunch of lying grifters to keep their word?

Sophie Devereaux: Get the doctor, Parker. Now!

Jed Rucker: No need, it will be over in a couple of minutes.

Sophie Devereaux: Oh my, you don't get it do you. Eliot's not like other fighters. He doesn't play games. He fights to survive, that's his training. It takes all his control *not* to kill somebody. You've just made him more dangerous. You've take the safety off the gun!
