The film's title of "Nightmare Neighborhood Wives" is somewhat misleading because the only deeply troubled wife who appeared in this beautiful Atlanta suburb was Bonnie.
In the opening scene, we witness Bonnie murder Kira, who has been sleeping with Bonnie's husband Christian. Months pass without Bonnie being a suspect, and now she sets her sights on ruining the life of her new neighbor Charlotte, who works for the same company and is perceived by Bonnie as a rival.
The most interesting character was Christian, a man with conscience, who slowly recognizes that he can no longer keep silent about the deranged mindset of Bonnie. This was a character who genuinely evolved in the course of the film.
Unfortunately, this was an overly unpleasant movie due to the disruptive antics of Bonnie. It was also surprising that after installing a sophisticated neighborhood watch monitoring system that the footage was not viewed to detect Bonnie entering Charlotte's garage to sabotage her furnace.
The climactic scene that occurred in a restaurant was over-the-top in its melodrama. There could have also been a better denouement that allowed the viewers to know the fate of Bonnie. One can only hope that she is getting the help that she deserves and ardently needs, based on her actions that would appear to be an earnest imitation of Lady Macbeth.
