This is part of my review for every episode of the show. (This is my first viewing by the way)(I at the time of the review have watched several episodes ahead and forgot to review)
This episode really does make you hate Mustang. But first of all, I want to talk about how smoot characters pogress in this show. It's actually perfect. Whenever I feel something is off character (such as Al for some reason liking the guys who took him captive) but later it is actually well explained. Winry and Edward pogress so smoothly. Just great writing overall.
The first half of the episode is nothing special as we just feel sorry for Maria even though we know she did nothing. The moment where she is killed hits hard. Originally I hated Ray at the moment. And for the twist to come this was perfect.
