Waste of time
millybp29 April 2022
I usually like all of Bruce Willis movies but this one sucks. The fighting scenes was so staged and the actors didn't seem to know what they were doing. This seems to be one of those low budget movies just thrown together. Please don't waste your time watching this!!!

Probably the worst film I have seen in a very long time.
Top_Dawg_Critic4 July 2022
If you thought the first one was bad, that one is Oscar worthy compared to this mess. This is the worst directing I have ever seen. Josh Sternfeld just kept filming ridiculous long dragged out and unnecessary scenes, of which at least half the length of the entire film needed to be cut out. His filming of the action scenes was so bad, when all you saw was two pairs of legs tripping over each other or a bunch of hands flailing around. Was this even edited, or the entire filmed scenes all pieced together uncut?

But even worse, was the most ridiculous screenplay I have ever seen. Alan Horsnail wrote in the laziest and cheesiest dialogue I have ever heard. The story was such utter nonsense, cliched and boring. It was riddled with plot and technical issues. Ninety percent of the entire 97 min runtime was all useless filler and irrelevant dialogue and scenes.

The pacing was so bad, the film felt like it was more than three hours long, and you'll end up begging for the ending credits. Who even funds and approves this nonsense? Even Kelly Greyson's Daisy Duke outfit was so cheese and out of place, we couldn't stop laughing. If it was meant to be a pleasant eye-candy distraction from how horrible this film was, it didn't work, it just added more cringe to the mess.

Casting and performances were adequate by most - including Bruce who was on par with the rest, except for Chad Michael Murray's annoying character, that made me want to fast-forward all his scenes. But I'm sure at least half the blame goes to Sternfeld, who clearly failed in directing his cast. The only redeeming quality of this film was the bearable score - which usually is annoyingly overbearing, constant, and unfitting. It's a very generous 2/10 from me, and I do mean generous.

Bruce Willis gets another paycheck.
mluinstra8 May 2022
Any Bruce Willis movie from around 2019 on is crap. I think he basically retired but does these low budget movies that require him to be on set for 10 minutes just for extra cash.

You can't trust his name in movies anymore. In fact, I avoid anything with his name on it since 2019 or so.

I find it sad that an A-list actor is willing to destroy his image and legacy for a few extra bucks. I'm not an actor or rich but I would never do this.

Some people have no heart
gavinmillwall30 September 2022
This is not really a review of the movie.

Let's be clear it's not very good but it's the amount of reviews saying how bad bruce Willis is in this some reviews after he announced he was ill!

Have you no heart or did you not read about it?

He made these movies as best as he could to get a bit of extra money before calling it a day.

Please think about what you write in the future or do some research first before stating one of the best action stars ever to come out of Hollywood!!

Happy retirement bruce thanks for everything I for one am a true fan and we raise a glass to you nest time I watch die hard..

half of the movie they show scenes from the first movie
bitnicat30 April 2022
I don't understand why half of the movie they show scenes from the first movie and talk about what happened in the first movie, As if whoever sees the sequel didn't watch the first movie. It's simply unnecessary.

Even worse than the dubious predecessor...
paul_haakonsen5 May 2022
Well, the 2021 movie "Fortress" wasn't particularly impressive, so it was with some hesitation that I sat down to watch the 2022 movie "Fortress: Sniper's Eye". And truth be told, I wasn't harboring much of any expectations to the movie from writers Randall Emmett, Emile Hirsch and Alan Horsnail, since a lot, and I do mean a lot, of the recent Bruce Willis movies have been dubious at best.

Yet, I opted to give director Josh Sternfeld's 2022 movie "Fortress: Sniper's Eye" a chance, as I do believe all movies need a fair chance. But the movie was actually as I had anticipated, nay, it was actually worse than anticipated. While the 2021 movie "Fortress" was pretty bad, then the 2022 movie "Fortress: Sniper's Eye" was even worse.

Talk about a swing and a miss of a storyline from writers Randall Emmett, Emile Hirsch and Alan Horsnail. Not only does the mundane and boring characters from the 2021 movie carry on in the 2022 movie, but without any improvement. The character gallery in "Fortress: Sniper's Eye" is insanely boring and mundane, and I just simply didn't care one ounce about these mundane and pointless characters that milled about on the screen.

And that made the laughably bad storyline even more difficult to get into. Not only was the storyline here in "Fortress: Sniper's Eye" rubbish, but the lack of interesting characters or dialogue just simply made it nearly unbearable to watch.

Even with the likes of Bruce Willis, Chad Michael Murray and Jesse Metcalfe on the cast list, "Fortress: Sniper's Eye" just simply stood a snowball's chance in hell of being an entertaining movie.

Sure, if you enjoyed the 2021 movie "Fortress", then you might find something entertaining in the 2022 movie "Fortress: Sniper's Eye". But I wouldn't go betting on it. "Fortress: Sniper's Eye" is not a movie that I would recommend you waste your time, money or effort on.

My rating of "Fortress: Sniper's Eye" lands on a two out of ten stars. It just simply was rubbish.

Why another??
ctufan245 May 2022
Poor dialogue & acting. Nothing more than another cheap low quality independent film featuring Bruce Willis. Why make a sequel to this Fortress garbage.

This movie should be in the sniper's eye
gb-1167 May 2022
Terrible. Worse than the original. Boring and uninspiring at all levels - storyline, action, dialogue and acting.

Kelly Greyson looks fine and was the only thing that held my interest. The rest of the cast should either retire or quit or take up another hobby.

The Fortress itself was the only thing interesting in this movie concept, and it was all explained in the original.

The rest of the movie should quickly be placed into environmentally-friendly toxic waste removal.

American original film

Absolutely the first part was better and we didn't see the overcome of technology on that,.. in this film I see the naturalist sense that have been cinematic too.... The story has bugs like most of the similar movies in tow decades ... Not bad at All.

Watching the first one was an absolute struggle. Had to shut this one off. Bruce Willis is becoming the new Nicholas cage. Accepting any role in any movie, no matter how terrible it is.

Dying husk of one self
nogodnomasters17 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This film picks up where the last one leaves off. They must have made it at the same time before the reviews came out. Essentially they resurrect a character and make the same film over again. Kelly Greyson parades around a government facility in short-shorts and a bare midriff top. It appears to be family day at the ultra top secret facility. Bruce Willis has trouble moving and has simple lines. Action scenes with Willis never show his face.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Bed Ridden Performance
therealljessemac1 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Bruce Willis in a bed ridden performance, that's not a joke but mostly he laid on the bed through much of his appearance in the movie, a girl is saved with no remedy to her safety. The action scenes are badly coordinated and Bruce Willis does little justice to save this movie. Is this an action thriller ? If yes where are the trills we expect to get ?

The storyline is quite simple but there is difficulty in understanding it, if you are smart enough to analyze this movie when you are done with understanding its storyline you may get confused in the head ' no jokes ' the film navigates from flashbacks to recent happenings, from ' inside set ' to miniature forest. If you get too bored look at the beautiful bodies of the actors you won't regret it.

There is nothing innovative about this movie except for one fact we could say it is a Bruce Willis movie because he made multiple appearances unlike others where his face was shown on the poster and this wasn't the case. I can't describe this movie as an action thriller which would be appropriate for it but instead I must say this is a Bruce Willis movie which is a waste of useful time.

Even worse than the terrible original
mcummings-8909224 June 2022
The first movie was terrible, when they announced they wanted to make a trilogy I laughed and assumed they had no chance especially with Bruce Willis announcing his retirement. Yet somehow here we are, a movie released a month or two after Willis retired. Same low budget, fishy acting, embarrassing script and woeful plot. I had to really motivate myself to see Willis penultimate movie because he was always one of my favourite actors but god this was a struggle to get through. Suggest you don't waste your time because it's so bad it's not even funny.

Spoiler alert
RickLWright4 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Seems to me, if there is an escape vent from the bathroom, you would at least close the vent so it's not immediately obvious where you went. Also, why are vents in movies always hinged, like architects expect people to routinely crawl through the air ducts? And why are they lit!? This one had a red glow which I didnt see a source four. Even more frustrating was that time after time the bad guys are not dispatched (merely knocked unconscious) so they keep coming back which seems to be the theme of the movie since most of the bad guys are miraculously back from part one. The title should have been Fortress: Resurrection.

Not gonna even watch this and review it
nitai3416 June 2022
Seems Bruce Willis just went on a rampage of crappy films before he retired. Seems like he knew he'd be quitting films so he just made a bunch. 8 in 2021 and 10 films in 2022. That's got to be some kind of record.

Thanks for the other films Bruce, too bad you decided to end your legacy this way.

Terrible and misleading title.
MoreDakka24 June 2022
There wasn't one sniper in the movie.

Plus, it was terrible. Seen Sharknado 6, it was better than this movie.

It terrible that Bruce Willis is affected by aphasia and I wish he wasn't part of this stinking pile of liquid garbage I just poured on my eyes.

If you want a good movie. Pretty much everything else is a good movie compared to this, go watch something else.

Bruce Willis...'nough said!
sviniodinio22 May 2022
Bruce Willis made one excellent movie in 1988 and another one in 1999. The rest is absolute and utter junk. The dude's a joke! Only utterly stupid hollywood minds can keep shelling out $1M per "movie" just to put his sorry face on the cover.

Bruce Willis is doing the best he can now that he is sick, I applaud his strength. I know that this movie is missing a lot but I know Bruce can do it better.

Good movie but its ok
moviesfilmsreviewsinc6 December 2022
It was announced earlier this year that Bruce Willis was retiring from film-making because his aphasia was making it increasingly difficult for him to perform. However, he seems to be having a bit of a farewell tour as the last few films he worked on trickle out. Perhaps in the light of this , critics should be a bit kinder, cutting both Willis and the films themselves a bit of slack. But this one is just as rubbish and pointless as all the other ropey action movies he has made in the past few years. Fortress: Sniper's Eye picks up in Russia two weeks after the end of the first film. A couple of goons are torturing Sasha (Natali Yura, Dead Trigger, Antidote) and filming it to send to her husband. Or at least they are until Robert (Bruce Willis, Death Wish, Breach) walks in and beats the crap out of both of them. Then we cut to two weeks after that and Sasha waking up from a nightmare back at the Fortress. Sasha, for those who didn't see the first film, was married to Balzary (Chad Michael Murray, Camp Cold Brook, House of Wax) who everyone thinks Robert killed in the first film. And we get a flashback to establish that. But if you saw Fortress you know otherwise. And soon so will everybody else. Much of the first act of Fortress: Sniper's Eye is spent recapping the events of the first film which means a lot of talk after the opening scenes. But by now I don't think that surprises anyone. Writer Alan Horsnail, who also wrote the first film, tries to keep all the introductions and expositions from feeling too forced, but there's so much of it that isn't quite possible. Given what we've recently learned about Willis' health I won't say anything about his performance in Fortress: Sniper's Eye beyond noting he's not in it much and is lying down in many of his scenes. Paul gets most of the screen time, but Zoe, Sasha and Ken (Michael Sirow, Primal, Jack Goes Home) get most of the action scenes. Fortress: Sniper's Eye is a major step down in script and execution from the first film. And if the title had you expecting a tense sniper's duel or a scene where our heroes are pinned down by one forget it, we don't even get that much excitement from this film.

Poor production, poor script, Disappointed
engraamirchaudhary20 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this movie because of bruce willis but I'm disappointed to the heart. I have never seen such low quality production. Even in one scene there is a blunder. It looks like after compiling they didn't even review the movie. There are too many coincidences that spoiled the whole fun of the movie. Two enemies were killed but both remained alive because of some coincidence. The production is poorer than any social media level content creator. There was not even things shown which are to be packed but packing would take two weeks. Even after they were attacked they remains so calm like nothing happened.

Another worst sequel! Full of boring conversation, and annoying overuse scene! Not recommended!
kwenchow7 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This film start with a woman been tortured in a room, and a man saving her scene! As turnout, this film is about a villain "Balzary" need to take revenge on a former CIA agent "Robert", who he accuse stole his money! Entire film full of boring conversation, and annoying overuse scene! Such as, overuse of the walking scene, overuse of the searching scene, overuse of the arguing scene, overuse of the calling names scene, overuse of the staring scene, overuse of the flashbacks scene, overuse of the changing camera angle scene, overuse of the blackout scene, overuse of the slow motion scene, overuse of the video recording scene, overuse of the holding gun scene, and overuse of the driving scene! Make the film unwatchable! All the action scene have blood, explosion, and things broken at certain point, but overall portray by sideways, have slow motion, and occur in too short of time! Make the film frustrated to watch! At the end, Robert kill Balzary by a grenade! That's it! Another disappointed film!
