Sex & Nudity

  • Two men are seen holding pornographic magazines. The camera focuses on a close up of a woman genitalia from a distance, the man stares at it for a moment.
  • A man has sex with a woman who is bent over a table: we see a portion of her bare breasts as the man continues to thrust and three older men watch when the man gives them a thumbs up and continues to have sex with the woman.
  • A man opens a door, we see another man on top of a topless woman (her bare breasts are visible) and sex is implied.
  • A man asks a woman if she would like to kiss, and the man and the woman kiss passionately until the woman pulls away. We see a man and a woman kissing passionately.
  • From a distance, two women and a man kiss, the man pulls away and watches the two women kiss passionately.
  • Several people watch as two young men kiss, and one man lifts the other and spins him around.
  • Two men wearing underwear and jock straps crudely thrust against a man's hockey goalie helmet as they make crude remarks about the man's mother's genitals and having sex with her (we see pictures taped to the helmet and they are presumably the helmet owner's mother).
  • A man wearing nothing but brief-style underwear asks another man if he had ever masturbated while high on drugs; the man then puts on a robe and walks away, implying that he's is going to masturbate.
  • There are many very crude sexual references throughout the film, especially by Ryan. Every line that comes out of his mouth bar a few, are full of vulgar terms.

Violence & Gore

  • Two men circle one another on ice, they violently punch one another, they wrestle as they repeatedly punch one another (we hear the punching sound and see their heads bounce back from repeated impact), one man hits the ice and slowly gets back to his feet as the fight continues (one man's nose and mouth are bleeding and the other man's nose is running blood), one of the men drops to the ice and we hear the crunch of bone (it is implied that the man broke his ankle), he gets back on his feet and the two men continue to fight, throwing punches and we see blood spray from their wounds as the man with the broken ankle punches the other man so hard that he falls to the ground, unconscious; the man with the broken ankle screams in pain and the fallen man spits a spray of blood from his mouth (we see a tooth hit the ice as he struggles to stand).
  • We watch a montage of a man fighting other men during hockey games: we see a man punching another man repeatedly and knocking him to the ground, he punches another man until he slides to the ice and he punches another man in the nose (blood pours from his nose).
  • A man punches another man multiple times and we see blood smear on the glass of the hockey rink (in front of a girl, who looks impressed).
  • During a hockey game a man punches another man, knocking him to the ground and several other men rush to the knocked-out man's rescue while the punching man continues to fight, knocking eight men to the ground, including hitting one man with a hockey stick on his shoulders and neck.
  • A man slams another man against the ice in a hockey game, the coach sends a second man in to attack the man and blood sprays onto one man's face as the other repeatedly slams his fists into his face.
  • A man punches another man once, we hear a crunching sound and the man being punched repeatedly punches the other man (who is wearing a hockey mask); he continues to punch the man, blood spurts from a wound on the man's forehead and with the final blow the man is knocked to the ground, sliding backwards down a series of bleachers and his face appears swollen.
  • Throughout the movie we see many fights during hockey games amongst players, including the following:
  • A man punches and throws his body against another man (we see the man hit the ground and hear an older man narrate that the man had received a third-degree concussion and was lucky to be alive)
  • Two men run into one another, one of the men takes a swing, knocking the other man to the ground
  • All members of two hockey teams are seen punching one another, three men are engaged in a fight and another man is knocked to the ground by a man as a crowd watches and cheers; a man checks into another man, knocking him to the ground, and he moans in pain
  • A man punches another man repeatedly in the face as he intently stares at another man's face
  • A man throws another man from the hockey rink over the wall and the men inside the box shoves the other man to the ground; and two teams of hockey players are seen attacking one another in the background.
  • A man is hit in the mouth by a fast-moving hockey puck, he spits out a tooth and we see blood pour from his mouth and nose; two other men hit the man repeatedly with hockey sticks in the face, one man stomps on the man's ankle with an ice skate and the injured man is slowly skated off the ice.
  • A man kneels in front of another man, allowing the man to repeatedly punch him in the face; we later see the man with his face swollen and his lip split and bloody.
  • A man hits another man in the head with a hockey stick, and we see a second man come to the man's defense, knocking the attacking man in the chest with a stick.
  • A man punches another man, knocking him to the ice, unconscious (no blood is visible).
  • A man punches another man in the nose, holding him against a wall while another man watches and gives the man punching the other man a "thumbs down," implying to punch the man again; we see the injured man hold his nose.
  • A hockey player punches another hockey player and the two men punch each other as the camera cuts away.
  • A woman watches television footage of two hockey players punching each other violently until they are pulled apart (we see one of the men with a split lip and a small amount of blood is visible on his mouth).
  • As part of the opener we see drops of blood hit ice, followed by what appears to be a human tooth.
  • The violence in this film is extremely brutal for a comedy and features blood on many occasions, the scene where Doug repeatedly punches a man in the face whilst he is on the floor is especially brutal.

Profanity

  • 'Bitch' is said nine times.
  • 'Pussy' is said nine times in vulgar context.
  • 'Fuck' is said 231 times, including some derivations.
  • 'Shit' is said 39 times.

  • The language in the film is constant, there is rarely a scene without foul language in it.
  • The film itself only runs for 85 minutes excluding end credits which works out at 4.5 curse words every minute.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Men throughout the movie smoke cigarettes.
  • Several men chew chewing tobacco.
  • A man swallows a pill from a bottle and makes a remark implying that he had taken Ecstasy.
  • A woman sits at home drinking beer with many empty beer bottles around her.
  • A man snorts cocaine off a woman's bare back and we see men taking video with their cameras.
  • Throughout the movie we see men and women drinking alcohol at bars and at home,
  • A man drinks what is presumed to be liquor from a sports drink bottle while telling a man that a second man is drinking "a lot of hand sanitizer"
  • A man drinks to inebriation repeatedly, and a woman tells a man that she is trying to cut down on her drinking (we see a series of empty beer bottles in front of the woman as she takes a drink).
  • A man rolls and smokes cigarettes, men throughout the movie smoke cigarettes, and men chew chewing tobacco.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The fight near the end of the film is intense.
  • A scene between a son and his parents is somewhat emotionally intense.
  • The brutality of the violence might be frightening for some people.
  • The scene where Doug repeatedly punches a man in the face whilst he is on the floor until blood splatters all over him may be very disturbing to viewers.
  • The violence in the film is very brutal and for a comedy is disturbing at times.
