8 characters skew lifelines that never really intersect in the suburb of Heliopolis in Cairo within a frame of time of 24 hours all in a very stagnant state and never achieving goals.

This film takes place during one night in the quiet neighborhood of Heliopolis in Cairo. The films jumps between the stories of six people. While a soldier stands on guard and a hotel receptionists disappears in her imaginary life in Paris, a couple is hunting for an apartment, Ibrahim is researching minorities, and Hany is preparing to migrate to Canada. None of them will achieve what they intended to achieve today. The day will be repeated almost identically tomorrow.—Writer

The events of one day in the lives of a number of Cairo residents is a portrayal of unfulfilled dreams and frustrating details of life in the overpopulated Metropolis. Their paths cross and their stories overlap but they are caught up in their struggle and are oblivious to one another against the background of what used to be one of Cairo's most glamorous neighborhoods. The City's vanishing glory and fading history is documented through the characters strife to make it through one day in Heliopolis....
