Remarkable plot and well portrayed by entire team including kids

A sensible family drama to understand the emotions of human being. The plot depicts that kids ain't toys and not the substance of our amusement to relish the best moments with them whenever you want; they also, do have their own preferences and emotive states. Before taking any inevitable decision in life, kindly consider it's repercussions too.

Nice But Too Many Short 9mn Episodes
indianature6 July 2021
I watched Teen Do Paanch, a web series on Disney + Hotstar in orig. Hindi with English subtitles.
Each episode is an irritatingly short 9mn run and almost half that time is spent in fast forwarding through the titles and credits. There should have been fewer episodes of at least 30-40mn each. A 9mn episode makes no sense at all.
The concept is interesting, and indeed there must be a few such real life cases too where a couple adopt and then have their own child(ren), though here it is compounded as the title proclaims: 3 (adopted) +2 (own twins) = 5 = too many to handle :-)))))
Vishal (Shreyas Talpade) and Priyanka (Bidita Bag) are 7 years into a marriage. Priyanka badly wants a child and convinces Vishal they must adopt. At the adoption home, Priyanka is smitten with a little girl Diya. But Diya is a triplet and the agency will only let the three kids be adopted together, so to Vishal's initial discomfort they suddenly find themselves the parents of 2 little boys and 1 little girl. Life goes helter skelter with 3 small kids to care for, as the bonds between the kids, their adoptive parents and their Chacha (Akashdeep Arora) grow stronger day by day.
Priyanka is suddenly pregnant. With twins. She just cannot cope with 3 toddlers and 2 infants and convinces Vishal that they must return the 3 adopted kids to the adoption home where the trustee Gambhir Ji (Brijendra Kala) roundly ticks them off for creating so much stress in the lives of the 3 kids being returned.
Time goes by. Priyanka and Vishal are desperately missing the triplets. One fine day they go back to the adoption home where again Gambhir Ji scolds them and informs them that the trio have been adopted by another couple. They somehow manage to visit the couple's home where the new father tells them to leave. But the kids who have spotted them rush to meet them outside .... and its happily united ever after ......
All the characters are well essayed by the respective actors except for Bidita Bag who comes across as stilted in many frames. There are several humorous moments in Vishal's office and in other scenes.
Teen Do Paanch is light hearted and quite watchable but the extremely short 9mn of each episode is very annoying. I fast forwarded through all the credits, which was like almost one third of each episode :-(((

Warning: Spoilers
A good example of a web series that has a simple story with a lot of depth. The writing, the atmosphere, the nuances, the attention to detail, the characterisations, and the performances by every actor is what makes this Web series what it is. Everything comes together, thanks to the wonderful production by Mehran Amrohi... This film is about family life.
