Incredible graphics and an exciting, short, bloody tale had me hooked and wanting to see more of this Borderland style world and its characters. 9/10.

The animation is mind blowing, make you wonder how far they can go with that! Very good episode with a good plot too.
The title of the entire series perfectly illustrates what is happening in this episode.
Love, death and robots - it's all an integral part of "Snow in the Desert". This story is extremely interesting, largely sentimental, which is surprising given the brutal world in which the action takes place.
This is another great episode.

The graphics are next level . Couldn't tell if this was real of CGI at many points .
We need a full 90 mins version of this .
The plot has potential .

I can't believe some of the ridiculous sci-fi big budget movies and the constant reboots and remakes they make these days when there is incredible material like this available!

This particular episode is my favourite. There's so much emotion in some of the scenes. It was amazingly well acted, and I'd love to see this script fleshed out for use in a full length film or TV show.

Netflix's "Love, Death and Robots" series returns for a second run. Overall, I enjoyed the first season and wrote short individual reviews for each episode and I think I'll take the same approach here.
Snow (Peter Franzen) is a wanted man on the desert planet that he lives on. As bounty hunters' corner him in a bar, he's saved by Hirald (Zita Hanrot). Having followed him back to his remote camp, Hirald explains that she represents an intelligence service, interested in exploring Snow's regenerative abilities. However, before Snow can decide if he wishes to go with her, they are attacked by another Bounty hunter team.
From the same Director as last seasons "Beyond the Aquila Rift" this is again a strikingly beautiful short, there is no other word for the animation other than truly amazing work. This is also a gory addition to the series, with plenty for violent death and dismemberment.
Storyline wise it's a little underwhelming though. Again it's short, so doesn't really have the time to explain everything about it's world and set up - but I felt I could have done with a bit more to it, maybe another deeper twist, or something along those lines.
Cannot argue with the technical capability of the episode though.

The uncanny graphics and interesting premise make for a really compelling short film that I would love to see fleshed out in some future iteration.

The graphics were incredible for this film, but great graphics can't make up for an average story line. It might look great but the story was a bit dull and pointless. Not as good as many of the episodes from season 1.
The only way I could tell this was CGI was some of the facial movements were a touch stiff. It was absolutely jaw dropping
As for the story, it was incredible, and really hits home for me. I don't age. (Or at least I haven't yet... still get mistaken for a teen, even in my 40's. Whole family ages quite slowly, but I seem to be the most extreme.)
I would absolutely *love* to see this movie fleshed out to a full feature film. It blows most of the **** we see in theaters these days completely out of the water.

Some people like myself have gone through things others couldn't ever imagine
Sometimes that involves incredible amounts of time alone... prisoners are a good example of people who are forced into this loneliness.. But others, like myself. Have been put in situations where we can not escape it, even if we are not in concrete cell. The mind can become that cell...
Never give up finding what ever brings you happiness... Cherish the healthy Relationships you have... many people do not have such a luxury.

There's a race on at the moment between animators to see who can make fully realistic animation of people that's genuinely indistinguishable from reality. This comes very close indeed, although it gets sloppier as it progresses, and the final action scene lets the side down a little.
And, once you have near-realistic animation, it begs the question of whether you're doing anything with it that you couldn't do with live action. That's sort of tackled here, but let's be honest, the premise, plot and character development is pretty basic, and play second fiddle to the visuals.
Still, it's solid science fiction that commits to a setting and a story, and eminently watchable.

Ok so the graphics were amazing but what about the story. Even duke nukem had a better story than this ep. Felt so incomplete.
'Snow In The Desert (2021)' is easily the best episode of 'Love, Death & Robots (2019-)' season 2. It's the sort of thing that could be expanded into a full feature; its interesting world, concepts, characters and themes make for an experience that leaves you wanting more, even though its story is capped off extremely well. It tells the tale of an albino with an accelerated rate of regeneration who must live his life with a massive bounty on his head. One day, he comes across someone who doesn't seek money; she seeks his company. The plot itself is, perhaps, a little thin, but the piece is character-driven and focuses on its enigmatic eponymous hero more than anything else. His backstory is explored just enough to make him relatable, a quietly tragic figure who easily commands your attention. The fact that he can regrow limbs is only part of what makes him intriguing. He's developed subtly but distinctly, which works surprisingly well given the short format. His companion, too, is given quite a bit of depth despite the small emotive bandwidth that both parties receive. On top of this excellent characterisation is an affecting atmosphere and several excellent action scenes, the latter of which are truly well-crafted. The set-pieces are fast, brutal and exciting, brought to life with crystal-clear choreography (almost definitely a result of motion capture) and beautiful rendering. The entire affair is absolutely gorgeous, too; at times, it literally looks photo-real. There's no issue with the uncanny valley here, even in the more emotional or dialogue-heavy moments (some of which are cleverly obscured to prevent such problems), and that's a feat in and of itself. As a whole, this is a compelling and enjoyable short film. It's thematically rich, atmospheric and, when it needs to be, energetic. 8/10.

They seem to have purposely cut out the nudity while increasing the violence in this story.
Trying to tell a provocative tale while trying to be politically correct is an unnecessary distraction, IMO.
I hope they are not trying to ruin this great Netflix series in order to be more puritanical!

Basic predictable storyline, horribly written female character.
Any other storyline would have the potential to be great as the setting seems super interesting.

This is what I came for, good stuff. The dead giveaway that it's not "real" is when he bites the strawberry, too clean of a bite! Other than that it's like it's real, very impressive. The story was cool enough, not disappointed there. It's very short, leaving you wanting more, but also satisfied, so it's kinda perfect there. Maybe it doesn't deserve a perfect 10, but oh well, I'm giving it that anyway.
