- After the untimely death of Colin Robinson, the vampires have a new portrait made for the house without him. Guillermo believes this is an unhealthy way of coping with their grief, which the vampires deny vehemently.
The vampires all start making grandiose plans for the future. Nandor wants to spread his wings and travel the world, which prompts Nadja to ask Laszlo if he'd consider traveling back to his native England with her. However, he has sworn to never set foot there again after he was booted from the seemingly exclusive "Sherwood Club", his reasoning deemed petty by Nadja.
Guillermo doesn't want the family to split up and does everything in his power to sabotage their plans. Nadja reveals that she has been offered a seat on the Supreme Vampiric Council in London, and wants to move there. As Guillermo attempts to remind Laszlo of his solemn vow to never return to England, Laszlo reveals that the reason he was kicked out of the Sherwood Club is because he chose Nadja, a "simple peasant girl", as his wife. When Nadja reveals, however, that they'd be a part of the vampire upper class because of her job offer, Laszlo concedes and agrees to move to England with his wife.
As Nandor prepares for his trip around the world, in an ultimate attempt to stop him, Guillermo says that the only reason Nandor's still alive, is because Guillermo let him live. When Nandor ridicules him, a short altercation breaks out and Guillermo emerges victorious. Held at "gunpoint" with a crucifix, Nandor agrees to take Guillermo on his trip as his protector, and swears that by the banks of the river Tigris in his native El Qalnadar, he will finally make Guillermo a vampire. Tearfully, Guillermo agrees.
Before taking the train with Nandor, Guillermo heads to the Port of New Jersey to see off Nadja and Laszlo. He's supposed to seal them both in their coffins to ship them on a sea journey to England, but Laszlo pushes Guillermo into his coffin and seals him up. In an emotional letter to Nadja, Laszlo explains that he sent Guillermo to England with her as her protector, but he believes she doesn't need one. Meanwhile, Nandor believes Guillermo has abandoned him, and sadly gets on the train alone with a backpack of his native soil.
In a flashback to an earlier moment in the episode where Laszlo is seen visibly shocked by something he has seen in the basement, the truth is finally revealed. Much more emotionally affected by the death of his friend Colin Robinson than he wants to admit, Laszlo goes to Colin Robinson's room to pay his respects one last time. As he uncovers the body, it has heavily decomposed and blood and mucus appear to be trailing from it. Laszlo follows the trail into another room, and finds a reborn Colin Robinson in baby form.
Feeling compelled to take care of the child, the last shot of the episode shows Laszlo hanging up the new portrait in the house, with a little Colin Robinson in a crib wearing baby clothes. Credits roll as the child cries to camera.
