Hostile Witness

In the previous episode, I was dreading that a huge potentially illogical cliffhanger and twist would be revealed in the last episode and (undeservingly) pave the way for a season 2 for further milking. I hoped till the last moment that I was wrong and the episode seemed to do justice to that, seemingly wrapping matters up in a neat explained way, but!, in the last moments, I saw something so incredible, so unbelievable that not only does it destroy the whole episode flow, it blows the whole season up, making it look like just an unfolding of thrilling and suspenseful storylines with lots of dramatic moments and touches of teen drama.

To me all the great development, acting and engaging flow goes to dust into space. That's my true feeling, but I will stop here, making myself forcefully forget the last moments and keeping my good memories of the show. I won't belittle it, I wanted to give the episode a 9.5 rating, but with fans' permission I will downgrade it to an 8.2, keeping the high stuff of the show and this episode high on the shelf.

Goodbye Kate, goodbye Jeanette, you both deserved better... And Kate, get rid of Mallory, she is way out of your league and of the whole show as well.

I did not like the ending of the show. I know people are complex and cannot be all good or all bad but this episode made all the characters become even more unlikable than before. Also from a psychological point of view there are a lot of things that make zero sense like the relationship between Kate and Mallory or Jeanette's transformation trough out the season. We waited long time to understand exactly what happened and I don't feel like it was worth it.

Seriously this finale was amazing. Filled with some much. I love every second. The whole season wasn't as great but this finale really made up for it. Excited for season two. Hopefully it's not filled with filler half filler episode like this season. But this season for what it was , especially this final episode was good.

I honestly did not love the finale. It did everything it needed to do to wrap the story. It made sense. It connected dots. I just didn't love it. Until the very final scene, which we here in my home are still discussing.

The series gets a 9, the finale gets a 9. I loved The Sinner s1, and this had vibes of that. Which makes sense. Great watch, very enjoyable. And of course it's Kevin Smith's (Clerks, Mallrats, etc etc etc) daughter named Harley Quinn.

This episode changes everything we think we knew and that last bombshell has left me completely shocked. I haven't felt this way since the ending of the Maze Runner books (go read that series because it's awesome and I might reread it very soon). The song they chose to go with this scene was also perfect. I can't wait for season 2 (just 4 more days). Are they going to dig deeper into the bombshell or will season 2 just be a new story. What ever it's I can't wait for it to happen. I also hope they have Ben and Vincent back together, they were so cute in the limited scenes we saw. I just can't get over that last bombshell.
