Just one episode left
lareval26 September 2021
Even if the masked man identity is predictable and the runtime (just 30 minutes) make this kind of a filler, the performances and the anticippation towards the climax made my heart race. Plus, it contains probably the most infuriating death of them all.

Good episode to set up the finale
Jayslapit28 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I liked this episode alot. Everything worked for me whether logically or emotionally. Don't get why ppl complain for this being filler when the episode in only 32 minutes gives you a major twist, compelling moment between Gi-hun and Sae-byeok, and the death of a main character in a great ending that really sets up the final episode.

Only complaint would be that i found it frustrating Sae-byeok kept her wound hidden, I dont really get why she did that.

Still a wow

Can't believe people are moaning . Yea we all knew who it was going to be , it's not the point ... the twist was the climax . Honestly after 6 I was shattered but I'm left exhausted after this last one ... why do I actually feel like I'm in the room in the last 10 minutes . I felt so angry and hurt and upset and of course decreased , I genuinely Felt all the emotions as if I were there . It's totally understandable this episode and left a mess abs covered in snot . No other tv show has made me feel like I'm part of the cast before and honestly I need a holiday after this series . Amazing amazing amazing . Still mashed up on 6 tbh.

Amazingly good.

This was a simple episode but it was good. The scenery and camaera work is beautiful. In the end it sets up the final game.

Solid episode
8512225 November 2021
Greetings from Lithuania.

8th episode of "Front Man" was the shortest in its run time episode. Yet it was solid, explaining some mysteries and putting few new ones. I liked the pacing of it, and that i brings the story forward finale. Looking forward to see the ending... of season 1 perhaps?

Short and good

Warning: Spoilers
Sure some predictable things, but it removes part of the assumptions for the final episode... Also, the frontman, who was emotionless, now has some emotion....

It can change the character (not seen the final yet)

Ain't the philosophy of the game being on equal terms?

Treat the wounds of her and then we have consistency. This episode is the weakest link.

Waste of character
mohammadpghazi30 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The girl was one of the best characters of the series. She should've died in a better way. This was both predictable and flawed. Isn't the purpose of the game, being equal? Treat the girl and then this would be an equal game.

It's sad and tragic, but not as much as episode 6. But still, it's a good episode.

Satisfactory!

Man!!! I fell in love with the character who played Sae-byeok. She is very realistic throughout the series. In this episode, she has crossed the line. Great acting performance!

But the episode was too short. Only a few minor plot developments for the final episode. Nothing more!

Good episode

Warning: Spoilers
Although I saw almost all these "twists" before (the Front Man knew too much about police work, he HAD to be the police man's brother, the girl cursed at the end of episode 7, so it was clear she was hurt badly), I didn't expect Son-Woo to kill her. It seemed unnecessary too, given her state, but I know they did it to make Son-Woo the main antagonist.

I'm curious what #1/the old man will explain in the final episode, for he is clearly the mastermind behind it all.

Although you can see some of the twists on this show(there are clues), I still think it's a good one. Koreans are very, very good at writing (sad) stories and although some People might complain how "slow" it is, I think they forget that this game isn't about being a violent jerk, I am sure the ultimate reason is much deeper and has to do with Gi-Hun and the old man and their past.

An episode that shouldn't have existed
abdassy23 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I felt like this episode was so much of wasted time.

The twist in this episode was so predictable, I knew it from the second episode.

And the ending was good with emotions but it was a waste of a great character.

The final game
AvionPrince168 October 2021
This episode is so so much sorter than the others episodes; its still pretty intense and have some dramatic moments. We know more about the missing brother. And the final game is coming. We have also some others reasons to see each people win. And we asking wo will be the winner and who will fail : whats gonna happen?

Only 30 minutes but that's everything!
dakuchonekobing13 November 2021
I wondered what happened to the length of the episode or if something was wrong, but the truth is, this is a special meal.

I love everything about this episode, from the lines to the character development. Everything is perfect. I wonder why they didn't do the same in previous episodes, giving the other side characters time to show their own development.

The story of the character Sebyeok is so good.

I love the dialogue at the beginning of the episode between Gihun and Sangwoo, I can watch it over and over without getting bored.

There are still things the director could have done better, like the exploding glass bridge resulting in injury to our girl, it's not convincing. There's no point blowing up the bridge, or the masked guys want more work to do.

And so did our policeman, who swam to the shore but naively dropped his heavy wetsuit on the ground for the masked men to find out. His story is as bland as his own innocence.

I just wish our Front man took off his mask earlier (since the audience didn't know him) and showed more emotion. I feel like the director forgot about him in the previous episodes.

Flawed but immersive
Leofwine_draca7 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A very short episode, surprisingly so, but contains a couple of major plot developments. My main issue was with one particular character end as I found the writing in this case quite clumsy although it's not a big enough flaw to detract from the overall quality.

Sad and somewhat disappointing :(

Warning: Spoilers
I really wanted Sae-byeok to live, but sadly her death was the last time the show was interesting, as it felt like I was just waiting for the ending after that point. Brilliant acting as usual though! I look forward to seeing Jung Hoyeon in more stuff in future!

Well could be worst!
mm-3923 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Well could be worst! Front Man started out with who is behind the games and the savage entertainment is the why! If one has so much money and can buy anything I guess this crew has resorted to cheap thrills. The detective works his way deeper and deeper to finding his brother. There is a predictable plot twist here! The character development leads into new story lines for season two. The contestants are pitted against each other. The two best friends and the loner gal. Finally the two opposites fight the businessman vs the slacker. There is a few plot twists. The game is beyond money now, and has become personal. A memorable but predictable ending. I did not mind this episode, but there was potential for so much more. Well directed, acted, but could have been written in a less predictable manner. Six stars!

Eh
raffaellofilipus17 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is the weakest of the show in my opinion. Sae Byeok's death is still heartbreaking, and the detective side plot is finally concluded in pretty good plot twist, but after that, I think they should've just went into the final battle to fill up the time and be the longest episode of the show. In the end, this episode could've just had a bit more creativity to it.

Worst episode in this Series
digambarchavan-7700828 September 2021
The masked man was totally predictable if you use a a bit of your brain. Other than that there was nothing more to this episode except for a a bit of emotional moment between the characters. They could have simply summarized this episode into 5-10 minutes and added this to the last episode. After watching this episode you would definitely get your mood derailed and would be bored for this and the next episode.

Sweet! SPOILERS ALERT

Warning: Spoilers
SPOILER ALERT : DO NOT READ UNLESD U READY TOO

This Show has Been very enjoyable even though 75% of it was so predictable according to how asian movies/Tv series do their plots and Conflicts. The production was amazingly done as well as scenery was well made. Truly this show was on a different level then most asian Movies/Tv shows due to Netflix bein the one producing this show. I hope more collaborations occur between Netflix & Asian Tv shows/Movies directors/Actors/actresses

- My prediction for the masked man was right! Hoorah. Sadly it seems i was wrong about the Vips. I originally thought the Old man that played marbles was really a VIP trying to see the game up close lol.

I assumed cause early in episode 3 i think they had turned off all the lights and the big brawls happen in their dormitories and just as the old man climbs atop n yells im scared! Then the Frontman turns the lights on to end their fighting. I thought that was clearly foreshadowin it but it seems im wrong lol.

But so far everything else has been predictable especially that crazy woman that first told the gangster if u ever betray me i will kill u, from their i already knew she would be the one to kill him.

As well as the guy who embezzled money from companies having that indian guy be his lackey through friendship i already knew he would betray the indian guy to kill him.

U also knew who would become the final 2 as its a common plot in asian movies/tv shows to have 2 brothers square off even if their not blood related.

The moment they showed the main character bein best friends with the Intelligent money embezzler guy u knew 1 would betray the other n both become the final 2 showdown ppl.

As well you knew the cops brother would either be killed by him or kills him or pretends too.

Short filler
elliotpower200022 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A short filler episode which isn't very exciting until the end when it is very sad with the snake killing the poor girl. It's quite a slow episode and is nothing more than a filler.

Predictably emotive
generatiorter22 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
From her injuries and her frail look at the creative "Last supper" setting, it was pretty obvious that she was the one that was going to go: I always imagined a final showdown or stalemate between Sae-byeok and Gi-Hung but I guess we won't get that anymore. Sangwoo is probably the least deserving finalist out of the 18, because he was on the verge of killing himself before rejoining the games, plus he's been successful once, and his mind games have costed many innocent lives, but he plays the role of an internal antagonist very well.

As for the episode: it's short but interesting, my only gripe with it is the two important deaths: don't forget the police officer as well. It's high-octane despite minimal visual effects, and sets the scene for the final.

Sae-byeok & Brotherkill
ZegMaarJus19 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with Jo-hun, he left Squid Game. Sang-woo and Gi-hun have a fight about the glass game. Sang-woo, Gi-hun and Sae-byeok are the only 3 players left at Squid Game. Front man is hunting to find Jo-hun. The players have a special feast dinner before the last game starts. Ju-hon shot on Front man. Front man shows his real face to Jun-ho. Front man his real name is In-ho. In-ho shot Jun-ho to death. In-ho is Jun-ho his brother, also known as Player 132. Sae-byeok has a lot of pain, she lost a lot of blood. Sae-byeok died, Sang-woo killed her. Gi-hun is furious. The last game goes between Gi-hun and Sang-woo. Nice Episode of Squid Game Season 1, such a dramatic end of Sae-byeok. Now the final battle is on!
