- The Leverage team infiltrates an oil rig and a trial to find evidence that a corrupt oil CEO is hiding a dangerous oil leak in the gulf, causing illnesses along the spill zone.
- Harry's daughter Becky asks him to help clear her new father's deputation as an oil company CEO, but the team soon discovers that the father is more crooked than was believed. Meanwhile, Harry "recalibrates his morality" when his ex-wife tells him what she really think of him and her new husband.—Gislef
- At night, a boy outside a house text to her girlfriend, who sneaks out to be with him. However, a man in the bushes grabs her Becky stomps on his foot and breaks free, and then runs. The man gets into his car and drives off, swerves to avoid the boy as he steps out in front of him, and hits a parked car, knocking himself out on the driver's wheel. Becky goes back inside and gets her mother Grace and her step husband Ethan, and Ethan calls 911.
The next day at the bar, Harry comes in with the mail and finds Eliot refurbishing the walls because of Parker and Becky crashing things into them constantly. One letter is forwarded from one of Eliot's aliases, and one for Sophie from a London theater offering her the position of director there. Parker and Becky come in from training, and Parker storms off when she hears Sophie describing the offer. Sophie figures the team can function without her like they did before she came out of retirement.
As Sophie walks off to call London and Becky follows her, there's a knock at the door. It's Becky, Harry's daughter, who says that she needs Harry's help. They talk privately and Becky explains that she tracked Harry by the tracker he put on her phone. She explains that someone is trying to hurt their family and someone is coming after Ethan. Ethan says that it's no big deal, refuses to call the police, and says that he'll handle it himself. Becky doesn't think Ethan is taking the matter seriously, bur Becky isn't convinced and asks Harry to help his ex-wife and her like he helps other people.
Harry asks the team to help Ethan, an oil company CEO, and Parker and Breanna refuse. The ex-lawyer says that Ethan is a good guy, and was brought in to help clean up an oil spill. Sophie points out that Ethan doesn't fit the4 profile of their usual clients, and Harry insists that Ethan is good people. Harry figures that Ethan isn't taking it seriously enough and won't hire his own security, and finally tells the team that Ethan is married to his ex-wife Grace. The ex-lawyer says that Ethan's opponents are going after his family, but Breanna still refuses and walks off. Sophie says that the rest of them are in. Parker and Sophie tease Eliot about Maria when Parker offers to check at the hospital where Breanna's attempted abductor is, and Harry figures he and Sophie will hack the security around the house using the binders that Hardison left.
At the hospital, Parker, Eliot, and Maria go in and Maria says that the abductor is refusing to talk to the police and has no ID on him. Maria gets them in past security and is amused that Eliot won't tell her why they want to talk to the abductor, kisses him, and leaves.
At the bar, Breanna ignore Harry and Sophie's failed attempts to hack the security. When Harry bungles it and turns off the bar generator, Breanna walks off in disgust,.
Eliot and Parker go into the abductor's rooms, and find two people posing as cops trying to kill the abductor. The team mates attack them and they run off, and a suited man--James Lowe--and the abductor Jerry Vanton's grandson Damon come in. the man says that he's asked the abductor not to do the work, again and again. Lowe talks to Parker and Eliot privately, and explains that he's a lawyer pursuing a lawsuit pro bono against Ethan's oil company, and Vanton keeps getting involved for free. Vanton's granddaughter Sarah has leukemia, and the doctors figure Sarah got the leukemia from benzene exposure, and benzene is found in crude oil. The company's oil platform was damaged three months ago and Ethan's company GulfPetrol covered it up, with Ethan providing the PR. The platform, Hyperion, is still leaking. Lowe is representing Sarah, and the oil is still leaking but GP denies that it's theirs. Lowe needs ironclad evidence that the oil is GP's, and Vanton is trying to help Lowe get the proof. If Lowe wins his case, there'll be hundreds of other suits against GP.
Eliot and Parker return to the bar and find the generator still out. Breanna boots everything back up and says she's no longer on strike now that they know Ethan is the bad guy. Vanton's brake lines were sabotaged, and Mitchell, Nathan & Cupp is representing GP and has all of the evidence that would prove GP is responsible for the oil leak. They've booked the largest conference room in the city. Harry goes to confront Ethan, while Sophie has Breanna get her access to the conference room..
Harry approaches Ethan and Grace at the golf club where they're having lunch, "accidentally" bumps into Grace, and asks about the incident at the house. Ethan joins them, and Parker is posing as a waitress and steals Ethan's phone. Harry brings up Sarah's lawsuit, and Ethan says that Sarah needs the money but GP is innocent. Meanwhile, Parker sends the phone signal to Breanna, who is trying to get into the conference room with Sophie. Ethan uses the phone as an electronic key for everything he's involved with, and Breanna confirms there's military encryption on the phone. Breanna tells Parker to stall, and Parker stalls by carding Harry and slipping the phone back when Breanna is done.
Sophie and Breanna go into the conference room using the cloned phone, and Sophie claims that she's an efficiency expert and Breanna is her assistant, and the managing partner at the firm sent her. She tells the lead counsel, Chandis Peterson, that she's not "efficient".
At the club, Ethan jokingly tells Harry that because of him, Harry doesn't have to pay alimony or child support. Before he leaves, Harry asks Ethan if he's sure the oil isn't coming from Hyperion, and Ethan insists that they're not. Meanwhile, Sophie inspects the files, and Breanna take photos of them with a hidden camera. Later back at the bar, the team have takeout and Breanna says that she ran the numbers on the files and they're tampered with. The raw data could be anywhere, and Eliot says that they should get it from Hyperion. Harry isn't happy that Ethan lied to him, and wants to take him down.
Eliot figures that he, Parker, and Breanna will go on Hyperion to get the data, and physically bring it back. The oil platform has banned all electronics, so they have to bring back the data physically. Hyperion is 120 miles off the Louisiana coast, and the data they need is on the drill floor. Parker will pose as a medic, intercept the incoming crew, and send them to the infirmary. Eliot will pose as a roughneck, take the crew's place on the drilling floor, and get the data. Parker will go the control room and distract the one tech on duty with a medical inspection, Breanna will hack into the primary data systems, and Eliot will stand watch while covered in oil. Then they fake an illness to get them on the first helicopter out. Sophie and Harry will stall the trial until they get the data to Lowe, before Ethan testifies.
Harry has gone to Ethan's house and looks at it from across the street. Sophie finds Harry there and Harry points out that he's going to hurt the people he loves most, by taking down Ethan. She points out that Grace and Becky deserve to know the kind of man Ethan is. Harry admits that he justified what he did by never breaking the law, and used it as a guideline. Sophie tells him that life is complicated, and she calibrated her morality" by believing there was honor among thieves.
On Hyperion, the trio board with the new crew. Maria calls Eliot and suggests they go out for dinner the next night. Eliot says that he's on a "business trip" and claims he's making a smoothie when she hears the helicopter in the background. Maria says that it's what she signed up for and says that they'll talk when he gets back. The security guard takes Eliot's cell phone before he boards.
Harry approaches Grace as she's out jogging.
Eliot talks to Parker privately about his relationship issues, based on her experience with Hardison. She advises Eliot against lying, Parker figures that Hardison is the first person who really saw her, and Eliot has to let Maria see the real him. If she doesn't want Eliot, then Parker says she'll hang her up the edge of a building until she smartens up.
Sophie goes back to the conference room, and Peterson tells her that since the plaintiffs have shown a lack of evidence showing GP is responsible for the spill, the law firm is meeting with the judge to have him toss the case.
Harry starts to tell Grace about Ethan. Grace says that she loves Ethan. Before Harry can respond, Sophie calls and tells him about the case being dismissed. Ethan is at the courthouse, and Harry excuses himself and goes to the courthouse.
Breanna tells Eliot that she's found the data collection console. Eliot is called to the control room, where he's told that he has a personal call by satellite phone. It's Sophie, who says she's his wife and "the baby" I coming early, because the techs are monitoring the call. Breanna is listening as well, and picks up the real intent of the message. The trio get back together and work how to speed up their plan, and that Breanna will rig up the sat phone as a dial-up modem and send the data. Eliot goes to the collection part, but finds no one there except the main operator, who says that there was something wrong about Eliot's earlier call and there are some people who want to talk to Eliot.
Outside the courtroom, Harry and Sophie meet with Lowe and tell him that they have to delay. Lowe warns that they need proof of intention or malfeasance, Sophie goes to Peterson to buy them some time.
The operator takes Eliot to a room, and techs have a surprise party made for Eliot's baby shower. The operator insists that Eliot stay, and gets him a beer. Breanna comes in, and tells Eliot to make sure everyone stay there while she accesses the data.
Parker goes to the control room to do her "medical checks", and finds everyone going to the baby shower. One tech is staying on duty, and Parker says that he looks exhausted and has to give him an exam.
In the courtroom, Peterson tells Sophie that they saved GP $10 million. Sophie asks Peterson if there's anything else Peterson wants to report to the court, but is paranoid and tells her to team to go through everything and see if they missed something, and asks for 10 more minutes before the judge delivers his ruling.
Parker tells tech that he has a highly contagious flu and is going to have to isolate. Once he leaves, Breanna comes in with the thumb drive and tells Parker that they have to rewire the place to send the data back.
Ethan comes into the courtroom at the same time as Judge Lundry comes in. Peterson presents the motion to dismiss, and Harry speaks up from the back and says that it's a toxic tort case and the judge has jurisdiction, based on an obscure case. Lundry dismisses Peterson's motion to dismiss, and tells Harry to call his first witness.
Parker and Breanna finish rewiring the control room, but Breanna says that the two sets of data match because GP cooked the data as it came in, and they can't get the raw data in time. Parker access the cameras that monitor every inch of Hyperion.
Harry questions Ethan, as Grace comes in. Ethan asks Harry if he's trying to get revenge on him for marrying Harry's ex, and then testifies that his lawyer told him he couldn't write a check to Sarah, because it could be interpreted as admitting guilt. Parker calls Sophie and tells her that they have the uplink working, and emails the data to Harry. Harry then shows the court the video of the oil leaking, and Ethan says that the video was illegally acquired , and Peterson tells him to shut up. Lundry says that the evidence isn't admissible, until can be independently verified and investigated.
Ethan and Peterson leave, and Sophie tells Lowe that GP won't be able to hide its activities anymore. Harry assures Larry that there'll be enough evidence for Sarah and all the other class action victims, then goes to Grace as she leaves. She tells Harry that she's not leaving Ethan because he was just doing his job, to provide for her and Becky. Harry is astonished, and Grace tells him that Ethan is there for him and he's there, which is more than Harry ever was. Harry starts to say that he made a lot of mistakes, and Grace tells him that they're done and walks off.
That night at the bar, Eliot is pouring drinks and Parker says that Harry has moved out. Sophie tells the others that things didn't work out for Harry as he hoped, and says that they should give him some time. Parker says that the job was better than running a theater in London, and Eliot asks Sophie if she really plans on leaving. Sophie says that she needs to find out the person she's going to be.
Breanna comes in and shows the others a newscast of a fire on Hyperion. The techs are among those dead, and Sophie figures that GP blew up Hyperion to cover their tracks. The team wondered who gave up the inside information necessary.
Harry meets with Bligh of RIZ and offers his services. Bligh asks why Harry decides to work for RIZ, and he says that he's decided to calibrate his thinking about morality.
