My Reaction / Review for Dexter Season 4 Episode 6 ''If I Had a Hammer'' (S4. E6): Episode 5 was awesome and I gave it a rating of 9.5/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Wow Trinity is such a hypocrite, I love it, Dex could learn a thing or two. I would like to know more about the Trinity Killer, like why he does what he does. Why does the trinity killer bring these ashes with him? I liked it better when Rita wasn't so annoying, now she wont stop complaining. Its like Dexter is not able to please her no matter what he does. So Angel and Maria broke up? This is it? So Dex tells the psychiatrist that he needs space to put his stuff, if they only knew what kind of stuff that is. And Dex has now the space he wanted, that's cool. My rating is 8.7/10.

Dexter investigates Trinity and learns that he is the professor and family man Arthur Mitchell, married with two children. Dexter is intrigued with the real affection of Trinity for his family and decides to get closer to the serial-killer. He goes to the Sacred Fellowship that helps people and he introduces himself as Kyle Butler. Meanwhile, Rita forces Dexter to go with her to a marriage therapist expecting to resolve her issues with Dexter. Debra believes that Nikki Wald had killed Lundy and she is intended to commit perjury against the junkie. Maria and Angel regret the disclosure to Deputy Chief Tom Matthews about their relationship and they deliver affidavit that they are not dating each other.

"If I Had a Hammer" is a "stalled" episode of Dexter. Rita is annoying and now she decides to go to a marriage therapist. I do not know how often this procedure happens in the American society but from an outsider, this decision is quite ridiculous. Dexter studies Trinity but does not kill him, otherwise the season would have to come to an end. Why does he need to be intrigued with the affection of the serial-killer for his family seems to be only to buy time and extend the season for six more shows. My vote is seven.

Warning: Spoilers
1. Dex is trying to get close to Trinity 2. Debra keeps chasing Trinity 3. Laguerta and Angel break up

Dexter spends more time with Trinity and learns that he may be doing the killings to commemorate the deaths of his family. He learns that staying out in the open could be the best camouflage, so proceeds to do so in his own home.

The conflict between Rita and Dexter was a little bit of a head scratcher. Dexter's been around long enough for Rita to probably tell he doesn't really talk. If she wanted that, she would have not gotten married with him. Yes, the conflict was triggered by the apartment but it just seemed slightly forced. They've been in a relationship for too long for the conflict plot to seem natural.
